The theory behind this diet is that some time in pre-history humans ate mostly protein. That was never the case except in places where there was nothing else to eat, such as in very cold climates. Humans have always eaten mostly plant food if it was available except for the very wealthy in modern societies, who eat too much meat.
579258 tn?1250649343 Which we all know is a big NO NO! No dirty dishes, unless you count the spoon and I can eat it in the car. I can also break it up and eat the fiber bar for a snack if I think I might not get back in time for lunch. That keeps me from wanting to grab fast food.

My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?

It is so amazing together I was smearing the ice cream on it and my boyfriend walked in the house and looked at me and started laughing haha. It was to funny I'm sure my face was pricesless lol.

Avatar n tn I think you're making a common mistake in thinking about food, which is that protein is good and carbs are bad. This isn't at all true -- the majority of your diet should be carbs. Vegetables, for example, the core of a healthy diet, are carbs, whereas beef is very high in fat on purpose and hard to digest despite being high in protein and so is never weight-loss food.
Avatar n tn s best to get the exact amount of carbs that you should be eating from your doctor- different medical conditions will cause the limit to be more or less. I have always been given different recommendations for different meals as well. In general, the recommendation is 30-60 grams for meals, and 15-30 for snacks, but again- talk to your doctor about your situation specifically.
