Avatar m tn Nothing seems to help. I also have pain to the touch in my chest area between my brests and under my brests in my rib area and on the sides under my underarms.. I have had ct scans in the past and ultra sounds to check my organs but nothing found. No stones or anything. I no longer have insurance and everything has gotten way worse. It hard to eat anything and keep it down. Now every joint in my body hurts all the time and its getting hard for me to get around.
748902 tn?1286034758 With the increase in exercise you can probably easily manage a bit of an increase in your calorie count. Are you eating enough of the good fats? They will help you feel satisfied. Has it been hotter and perhaps you are losing too much potassium and sodium?
Avatar n tn s had every work up under the sun done. Her gall bladder removed, as well as her appendics. She is in and out of the ER on a bi-weekly basis and they just keep sending her home. She pee's, vomits and has blood in her bowel movements. She doesn't eat or drink because of the pain, and her hair is starting to fall out and losing weight. She's only 18 years old. Please help!
Avatar n tn and actually produce no insulin of their own (or very little insulin if they do produce any), and so lowering the carbohydrate count in their diets will not solve the problem.
Avatar m tn in this case, google "special carbohydrate diet". It is a diet which got invented for people with huge bowel problems like H pylori, crohns and IBS. The goal in this diet is to a) kill bacteria by starving them, but not you, b) get some easy digestible nutrients back into you, c) get the inflammation down and d) change the bacterial flora so no bad bugs can survive. Give it a test run for 1 month, and if it is not helping, you can always go back.

This parasite is sadly very common, especially in kids. It is usually easy to get rid of, if you follow some strict hygiene measures, and get the tablets from the GP. Give her lots and lots of raw grated carrot to eat, as well as fresh pineapple and raw pumpkin seeds. Reduce her sugar and carbohydrate intake for a while.

My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?

Was thinking though .. about taking a can of pumpkin and putting in the pumpkin pie spices and a little Splenda ... and warming it up for a topping. Would add a vegetable to my breakfast! Anybody else have some creative and new ideas to share? Let's have fun and mix it up a little!

I discarded the pumpkin but where the event occured, right by my front door step, a pumpkin seed survived and is now growing a luscious pumpkin plant. At first I was thrilled---------- how cool to grow my own pumpkins! It must be the absolute perfect spot as that plant is growing BIG and there are lots of flowers and pumpkins starting on it. Here is my question . . . well, it is taking over.

Avatar n tn I think you're making a common mistake in thinking about food, which is that protein is good and carbs are bad. This isn't at all true -- the majority of your diet should be carbs. Vegetables, for example, the core of a healthy diet, are carbs, whereas beef is very high in fat on purpose and hard to digest despite being high in protein and so is never weight-loss food.

Avatar n tn s best to get the exact amount of carbs that you should be eating from your doctor- different medical conditions will cause the limit to be more or less. I have always been given different recommendations for different meals as well. In general, the recommendation is 30-60 grams for meals, and 15-30 for snacks, but again- talk to your doctor about your situation specifically.

So basically, this is what I got from it- fresh vegtables, fresh fruits, lean meats, most nuts, NO LACTOSE, NO SUGAR (except in fruits and honey), and NO STARCHES. Is this about right? Also, what is the policy on yogurt and coconut milk?
