If the food mentioned above even touch his tongue, his throat will close up, he would be throwing up, running high fever and have diahhrea. The symptoms last about two days. I am 18 weeks pregnant, the doctor wants me to consume protein and calcium. Since I'm lactose intolerant, I try to drink about 2 glasses of soymilk a day.
7628588 tn?1392763151 Yes, adopt a Paleo lifestyle. Humans were not designed to run on the carbohydrates we typically consume daily. They were seasonal treats found during the warm months of the year, honey, berries, and fruit. Our bodies have not evolved sufficiently to run on carbohydrates. Rampant Type II diabetes is proof of that. So, do you really want to lose weight, and lower your blood glucose level? No "white stuff".
Avatar n tn The word impossible is not in my dictionary, so I'll have to use the word unachievable, unless you go through liposuction or bariatric surgery, lol! Not only that but it would be also dangerous!!! Please revise your plan drastically, basing it on perhaps 2 Lbs per week weight loss, which is safe and sustainable. I don't want to "crush" your dream, so please keep it alive, but move your deadline up to November 2016.

I hope this spins some clarity on my question and look forward to more good conversation.
Avatar n tn Common cholesterol lowering foods include plant sterols found in vegetables; nuts (almonds); seeds and legumes, which interfere with intestinal absorption of cholesterol; soy protein, which decreases hepatic production of cholesterol and reduces blood levels of LDL-cholesterol; and soluble fiber (good old oatmeal), which binds intestinal bile acids, stopping them from being recycled into cholesterol.
Avatar f tn If you are not already trying this, a low carbohydrate diet (avoid sugars, grains, minimal fruits), may also help in lowering your blood sugar.

Avatar f tn I have been formally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and possible Carbohydrate Intolerance. My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?
Avatar f tn hello there, i went thru that due to anemia, my doc advised eating foods high in Iron,ie; Tuna, Avocado, almonds, watermelon. I also drank the vitamin called SS Tonic.. it did wonders. Avatar n tn I think you're making a common mistake in thinking about food, which is that protein is good and carbs are bad. This isn't at all true -- the majority of your diet should be carbs. Vegetables, for example, the core of a healthy diet, are carbs, whereas beef is very high in fat on purpose and hard to digest despite being high in protein and so is never weight-loss food.
Avatar f tn Dark chocolate has fewer calories than other chocolates, eaten in moderation, it lowers unhealthy LDL cholesterol and prevents plaque from building up in your arteries. Pomegranates reduce plaque. Egg yolks contain choline, that helps protect heart and brain function and prevents cholesterol and fat from accumulating in the liver. Almonds have fiber and monounsaturated fat, it helps to lower cholesterol. Garlic lowers total cholesterol and triglyceride.
1756561 tn?1314575371 Can't agree strongly enough with allmymarbles. To eat the sort of "diet" you were on for over a month and then to suddenly dump take out Chinese into your system........what did you think would happen? Like allmymarbles has stated, you need to reintroduce "normal" food to your system very slowly. You've said that ever since then, you can't eat anything greasy, fatty or surgary.
Avatar n tn it usually just feels like my stomach is very busy and lots of rolling, which then turns into gas and bloating, and then lots of stools that are small, not necessarily diarrhea, but usually something soft and in between. A lot of the time, its just lots of gas and mucus that comes out, anyway it ends up making my stomach just sore, in a tired sense and is just all around uncomfortable. Im trying to find what it may be connected to.
Avatar n tn s best to get the exact amount of carbs that you should be eating from your doctor- different medical conditions will cause the limit to be more or less. I have always been given different recommendations for different meals as well. In general, the recommendation is 30-60 grams for meals, and 15-30 for snacks, but again- talk to your doctor about your situation specifically.
Avatar m tn Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.
Avatar m tn Due to stomach problems, I have decided to try a Specific Carbohydrate Diet. Has anyone experienced relief on this diet? So basically, this is what I got from it- fresh vegtables, fresh fruits, lean meats, most nuts, NO LACTOSE, NO SUGAR (except in fruits and honey), and NO STARCHES. Is this about right? Also, what is the policy on yogurt and coconut milk?
