Avatar m tn meal 1 protein shake with skim milk. meal 2 2 cups plain oatmeal a few egg whites and banana. meal 3 1 packet of albacore tuna with 2 cups of brown rice (mix in salsa or hot sauce.) meal 4 protein bar (i like met rx but there are many good ones.) meal 5 6-8 ounces of chicken and some greens. meal 6 protein shake with skin milk. I have also at times drank 6 protein shakes a day to get cut more and just eaten some fruit with each to supplement my diet . Try muscle milk.
Avatar n tn I can still eat cheese, but I cam no longer eat ice cream or drink milk. Can you tell me if it would make since to try either skim milk or 1%?. I recently tried Soy, but that made me congested as well.

Avatar m tn B--1 cup fiber one w/1/2 cup skim milk, 1 egg fried using non stick spray. 1/2 cup skim milk to drink (total 1 cup dairy for breakfast) S--banana L--2 wholewheat wraps with chicken and broccoli slaw, with Lt. mayo or mixed with FF salad dressing. 1 cup sliced strawberries S--nonfat yogurt mixed with Splenda and vanilla extract, 1 cup. Could mix with some fresh fruit D--Brown rice with chicken, roasted asparagus. Dessert--1/2 cup FF/SF pudding.
Avatar f tn They have done studies that show eating a lower carb diet can help with fertility - eat lots of omegas - salmon, almonds, 2% milk instead of skim milk has also been shown to help fertility for some reason.. as far as exercise.. i am not sure if it matters either way.. i always take it a little easier in the tww - not running or anything high impact.. and decrease caffine during the tww as well! 492936 tn?1244651570 The most interesting thing to me was about the whole milk. Apparently hormones are in milk. Estrogen is in the fat - testosterone in the skim part. Drinking skim instead of whole gives you more testosterone and we women need estrogen for a healthy pregnancy - that is why you should eat whole milk, regular ice cream etc. Other than the milk part I didn't get much from it.
Avatar n tn I sometimes will snack on nuts and I do drink alot of milk (2%) soon changing to skim. Sometimes I throw a banana or apple into my day. I do not believe I overeat but I do think I am not active enough. Hence the weight. The thing is I don't think I metoblize things well including my meds. I also have a real hard time always having to adjust my thyroid meds. I am also on other meds that may add to the weight.
Avatar f tn Skim or 1% is best. No one over the age of 2 needs the fat in whole or 2% Milk. Your still getting the same amount of protein, calcium, and vitamin D in the low fat milks that you are in the fatty milks.

Avatar f tn mix one large scoop with 8 oz skim milk and drink in morning for brekfast. It will give your muscle the proteen it needs with no carb intake. Muscle burns fat so the more muscle you grow, the more fat you burn. If you want some carbs, then eat wheat pasta, or whole grain crackers. I put Tuna on whole grain crackers. These are complex carbs and do not cause insulin spike. Obviosly NO sugar at all. It is instanty converted into fat.

Avatar n tn -) Rice in soups or casseroles-high carb. Pasta-high carb. Potatoes-high carb. Bread-high carb. Regular soda pop and fruit juices-high carb. Sugar is interesting-you can have your sugar and eat it too. If your dr tells you to eat less sugar you need to fire right back at him and say, don't you mean carbs? Do you know of anyone who sits and eats a cup of sugar? No. But I bet we have all eaten a cup of potatoes rice or pasta or bread....
