Avatar m tn ) I used to wake up in the middle of the night with the sensation of 1000 little spikes 'poking' inches away from my eyes. If I closed my eyes I could 'see' them. I covered my eyes with my arm and waited it out. They would eventually go away in 30 seconds, or a few minutes.

I understand brain surgeons get called to hospitals to deal with brain surgery patients. I can deal. That wasn't the worst part. I get into the room finally and the first nurst comes in and checks my temp and blood pressure. Normal stuff. Then a second nurse comes in--the NS's nurse. She's ok at first. She asks me when did I get my Chiari diagnosis.
242588 tn?1224275300 D While most people gratefully welcome the longer days and warmer weather of spring, more than 35 million Americans dread the itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneezing that comes with the season’s pollens and mold spores. Then in October 08 I found a lump on my thyroid.......
Avatar m tn The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after. I notice if I catch it early (which means I carry antibiotics with me all the time) it is not as nearly as bad. Doctors have diagnosed this as Asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma etc etc. All different specialists seem to have a different prognosis and the recommended pills over the years have not really done any good.

Also ended up in the hospital and put on suicide watch. I would throw a fit every morning 'cause i didn't want to go to school.
Avatar n tn I can't think of any reason that I would have that, since it doesn't run in the family and I have never had any eye issues before. Actually, the only thing I can even think of that has ever caused me eye-irritation is when I was shot in the eye with a nerf gun about 6 years ago and it caused a subconjunctival hemmorhage. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn 37 wheeled into O.R. eyes rolled back and that all I remember till they wheeled me out about 2:10 p.m. Waking up from the anesthetic was horrible not knowing what they did and I was shaking like crazy, didn’t help when I looked down and seen all the blood on my pillow. If anyone has the same thing or know of anyone that has paralysis episodes due to Chiari Malformation, please let me know. Right now, I'm lost and confused. I have done alot of researches and some doctors stated that a person can have partial paralysis but so far all of my doctors can't seem to find anything.

Avatar dr m tn Every time you get a cold, notice how it usually starts in the throat with a tickle, a scratch, or a slight cough. It then progresses into chest congestion or travels up into the ears and the sinuses. You’ll have a low grade fever, mild chills, and a runny nose. Even if you start out with a runny nose, eventually, you’ll have throat symptoms later on. Sounds like a classic cold, right?
Avatar n tn Hello blueiis, You must have Graves eye disease? I am a 54 year old female who just had orbital decompression surgery on my rt. eye last month. It was done in Farmington Hills, Mi., so I can't be much help in referring you to anyone in your area. Sometimes the major teaching hospitals in your state are the best ones to check into for that type of surgery. Your eye doctor should refer you to someone he knows & trusts. You will see an ocular plastic surgeron to do the procedure.

Avatar n tn This is not the sort of sneezing I get from allergies, just a small breeze or my own breath sets me off! From the time I open my eyes in the morning to the time I fall asleep I sneeze uncontrollably and my nose is constantly tingling. It's draining trying not to sneeze, otherwise I would sneeze none stop - It's so embarressing and I can no longer function. I recently used my usual miracle nasal spray and this made my sneezing 10 times worse! Antihistamines don't even touch it.
