Phentermine does not list thyroid meds or thyroid disease as a caution or a contra-indication, so it should be alright. But it will take you time to get your real energy back. The big problem you have now is the xanax. As you said, you need to taper off the xanax. You are doing a smart thing by getting off this speed in the day, and downers to get to sleep. I strongly advise you to not take any phentermine while getting off the xanax. It will drive you crazy.

I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.

Yes, thankfully you can take both of these drugs together as they act on different pathways of the brain. Many times we would prescribe to two meds together because it takes Celexa about six weeks to really start working well. That being the case we need the xanax to help get pt's through that period of time. it is also nice for them to have a little extra for the hard day that will occur from time to time.

This is a very common combination, and I think you mean 2.5 mg of xanax. I would ask your doctor about increasing the Paxil if it has worked for you these last two years, or switching to one of the many other antidepressants. I would try to avoid increasing the dose of xanax, and possibly ask about switching off xanax to klonopin. You might also consider therapy to look at the source, rather than the symptoms.

I was able to get off the phen in less than 2 weeks. Once my body adjusted to less food/cals, I no longer needed it. BTW, I was only taking one pill a day but did find I was hungry at night (a bad habit from nibbling late hours even when not hungry) so I took half in the a.m. and then the other half later in the day. Hence...no late night jitters. Consider doing it this way and see what happens.

Wow! 200 mgs of Zoloft and three mgs of Xanax. Have you ever blacked out before? You have to see your doctor. You may need a whole new regiment. I take Klonopin and find it to be a kinder gentler benzo. You can't just stop or switch your meds. It has to be done with your doctor's help. Slow and easy.....If you are not seeing a psyc doctor, you should consider it. They are more familiar with the types of meds you are taking.

If you are eating very little and rapidly losing weight, you can often lose your periods b/c of that alone. I agree with the previous poster. Stop the Phentermine and see what happens.
