Avatar f tn Prozac (fluoxetine) and Lyrica (pregabalin) (Moderate Drug-Drug) MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients. MANAGEMENT: During concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression.
Avatar n tn My pain too has increased over the years, it was mild in the beginning and now it is out of control, I wish I knew the solution to releive the pain.
Avatar n tn The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
Avatar f tn Hopefully this holiday weekend will give you a chance to see how you do with it. If you work this weekend, do you have someone that can drive you for a few days, if you feel like your driving might be impaired?
Avatar n tn In addition, the vicodin only works for about 2 hours, and then I have wait another 2 hours before I can take it again. I see my doc this week, and want to ask him about medications for nerve pain (Neurontin or Lyrica). It seems like everybody on this forum is taking narcotics for pain, but I want a different option. Can anyone give me advice?
Avatar m tn Does anyone take lyrica and if so, has it made a difference resting at night? Thanks.
Avatar n tn I have just started lyrica and hope that it decreases my pain to the point that I can get off the percocet entirely. I assume it is better to slowly wean down your percocet dose before stopping but I am so afraid of the suffering I must face to get rid of it. Some days I wish I was just 'strong' enough to handle my pain and not have started these stupid things to begin with. I would be very grateful for any feedback.
669241 tn?1236264344 i took them along side lyrica and requip and clonazapam and diazapam but they dont mix well with some drugs make you tired.
Avatar m tn I would let your new doctor know that the Lyrica is causing you side effects that you just cannot handle (list them and make sure you are quantitative about them) and that your old medication was working just fine. Tell him that the medication change has been a disruption in your life and has increased your pain and you are experiencing more pain as a result and are having trouble completing daily tasks that are required of you.
1511671 tn?1316564203 re not geting the pain relief from the methadone that you feel you should be getting, please discuss this with your doctor and ask if there is anything else that they could try. There are other pain meds out there that do not contain acetaminophen (tylenol) - and other meds to treat fibro. Please know you are not alone - anytime you'd like to talk, just send me a PM. Best of luck!
Avatar f tn Try taking a half a pill of Vicodin for a few first nights just to make it easier for yourself. Then you can take some Tylenol instead together with the ibuprofen. They work well together for pain. Never take Tylenol while taking Vicodin though, because you may ovedose on acetominophen and damage your liver further. You should not have much withdrawal on the dose you are on, so don't worry about it. Go0d luck to you and feel well.
Avatar f tn There are caring people in the medical community if you just look hard enough for them. And try not to get stuck on the notion that you need vicodin. Maybe you will find another pain manager who can prescribe something that works. Some people get relief from injections, too. I'm searching for a good pain manager myself right now and happened to see your post. Personally, I don't put up with bad treatment from medical providers. You are paying them to help you, not shame you.
233622 tn?1279334905 Hey guys! There's so many of you able to take these pain meds. I'm so jealous! All I can take are extra strength Tylenol. I was on neurontin, but decided that until they dx me and figure out whats wrong, I didn't want to mask the problem so that my sx would be clear. My stomach is so shot that I can't take the pericet. I did try the vicodin after a surgery, and it did absolutely nothing, nadda, zero. I felt like I took nothing.
1378325 tn?1285346625 Thank you for the response. My Rhuemetologist doesn't take too much stock in Lyrica and such, so no I do not take them. I was taking generic Vicodin for a month or so after being on Relafen for 10 yrs., did not help.
394774 tn?1235070839 You can get addicted to lyrica, it is a controlled substance. but if they work for you and take away the pain and you know you are gonna have to take them the rest of your life, who care.
Avatar f tn Hi i take medication for pain I would like to quit them I took lyrica amptriptilina and victan somebody can help me please??
Avatar f tn bthnn - sorry to hear you had such a strong reaction to the Lyrica. Do you recall the dosage amount you were taking? Hope you are feeling better now.
Avatar f tn Will medical marijuana help me with early stages of scolosis, fibromalgia and chronic lower back pain that cymbalta and 20 mg of vicodin has not helped for the past 2 and 1/2 years? I also have chronic athritis in both hands.
Avatar f tn t gone to the ER I would certainly do so. They will advise you what to take and possibly provide you with a prescription. Good luck. I know how painful a toothache can be. I hope you will soon be able to see your dentist.
Avatar f tn I am currently on Lyrica and take an occassional Vicodin for the pain. What kind of exercise can I do that will not increase any damage or pain in my thigh? I want to lose some weight and would like to know what you would recommend.
1380526 tn?1292839385 I havent ever taken Lyrica either so I dont have any advice either. I hope you find some relief. Hopefully, someone who has experience with this drug can give you some advice soon.
Avatar f tn Remember if you do take it you have to have a card with you that states this in case of emergency where you cannot tell them yourself. I just read this site and was warned to not get pregnant that it would not be a good idea.
Avatar f tn Like you, I had anxiety for several years before the CFS hit and was on Lorazepam (aka Ativan). I have no idea if that's related or not, but I only took it intermittently anyway, so it's unlikely that had any effect on my heart rate.
