Can you take ambien with zoloft

Common Questions and Answers about Can you take ambien with zoloft

ambien

Avatar m tn Yes, there are different dosages for Xanax and ambien. Ambien is a once at night medication, Xanax is usually one pill three times a day as needed. I don't have experience with klonopin or Zoloft, your MD will know.
Avatar f tn Voice your concerns about this as well. Do you really need it twice every day, or can you take it just when you absolutely need it? Have you learned any relaxation techniques? If not, a CBT therapist should be able to teach you some.
Avatar m tn My first suggestion is to ask your psychiatrist if you can either swicth to an alternative other than the ambien, such as trazodone, a well tolerated drug, or decrease the dose on your lamictal. The only problem with playing around with the sleep meds right now is that it may take some trial and error before finding another drug that works for you, which may mean some sleepless nights, or over-sed.ated days-which could affect school.
Avatar f tn If you stopped drinking so much and took up exercise or meditation, you might find the ambien can go, too, and the Zoloft would have a better chance of working.
Avatar m tn m not a big fan of Zoloft, but as long as you are beginning to get good results with it, ask for another sleep aid to replace the Lunestra. I'd contact my Urologist #2 who rx'ed it and ask for a new rx for Ambien 10 mg. Many people get good results from the Ambien CR, too.....(long-acting Ambien). I understand your therapist's recommendation, but when you're suffering from extreme sleep deprivation, esp.
Avatar n tn THen your on Ambien and still up....
1282280 tn?1285086420 i was diagnosed with sleep insomnia, ptsd, panic disorder, and major depresive disorder a little over a yr. ago. at first, the dr's just had me on a low dose of zoloft to see if it would help. tho it did help with the depression and a little with the anxiety, i still couldn't sleep. after raising the dose of my zoloft a few more times, and trying seroquil, the dr's finally put me on ambien when i couldn't sleep.
Avatar n tn Energy can take a while to return. Keep up with your vitamins and try and get some exercise. I know it's hard but it will help. I bet in another week you will be feeling better. Not great but a lot better. If the depression continues, then I would go back on the antidepressants. Hang in there and be patient with yourself.
Avatar m tn I think that all of the meds you take can cause all of those eymptoms. Even the part about getting up in the middle of the night. My doctor told me that most of these "mood" medicines have the side affect of making you hungry. When you say that taking part of the xanax makes you feel better it is probably because you are so anxious that you can't keep your thoughts straight. That happens with me too.
Avatar m tn It has come to a point where I need to medicate myself with several different medicines in order to fall asleep. I usually take Ambien 10 mg and I take two od those and sometimes Xanax 1 mg. I have noticed that Ambien doesnt really help much anymore. I just feel weird when I take it. Sometimes when I dont take anything to sleep and I manage to fall asleep, I have very vivid dreams and nightmares. Even after taking medicine, I dont usually fall asleep until 4 am and I am up at 8 or 9.
Avatar m tn Hi, how long have you been on the Zoloft and how much? Is it for anxiety? I have been on it for about 5 weeks, 25mg. I take it in the morning, even so sleeping is very difficult, if I do fall asleep I wake up every hour or so. I have heard this is common with Zoloft. My doctor told me to take Xanax to sleep, also tried Trazodone, Melatonin, and many over the counter - the only thing that works is the Xanax however I won't take this every night.
Avatar n tn There are many other antidepressants that will work But you will never want to go through effexor with draws again but you will when they decide to take you off the 150. Please speak to your drs. I have even been through pain pills withdraw and effexor was for me much worse!
Avatar n tn s good to be concerned about your employee and to keep an eye out for anything you feel is either a concern for the employee, or something you fear is going to interfere with their job performance. Please just remember to handle any concerns compassionately, and remember that their information and medical history/medication history is something that should remain confidential. The info shouldn't be shared with other employees, or anyone who isn't directly supervising the employee.
Avatar f tn hi yes I'm still taking my med for depression there is always a risk but being controlled and pregnant than being pregnant and depressed. I suggest you go to the dr and see what affects non, mild or don't take at all and take care of your depression. I take wellbutrin and zoloft which are considered mild.
Avatar n tn I just want it to stop. I looked up Zoloft and it said that if you experience anxiety then you should tell your doctor right away. But, I am not having panic attacks, so I haven't called the Dr. yet. If it is from the Zoloft, will the side effect subside? I think that I panic because I feel "weird sensations". Does that make sense? I will have a pain in my shoulder, chest, or arm and think heart attack and panic.
Avatar f tn I take 100mg of zoloft and .50mg of clonazepam for my panic attacks. When I first started having them, all my doctor prescribed was clonazepam. But I went back to him a couple of months later because that wasn't working by itself. He started me on 25mg of zoloft (sertraline) and I've worked up to 100mg. That seems to have done the trick. You should ask your doctor about trying zoloft w/ clonazepam.
603543 tn?1255294450 i tired switching the abilify to nighttime and that seemed to help a bit, but then I have to take the ambien to sleep...the pharacist said they can make me tired and to try taking i the abilify at diff times of the day and then I might not need the ambien...so i guess its trial and error again......
Avatar n tn OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!! what are you doing!? don't ever mix ambien with Lorazepam, xanax, zoloft or any of the likes! There are interactions between these drugs Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients.
Avatar f tn You can Take benadryl and unisom. Unisom taken with vitamin b12 they actually prescribe to help with morning sickness.
Avatar f tn Dozed off for an hour wide awake but very tired. Just took 5 mg ambien tired but no sleep. Help. will call psychiatrist in morning. Thought I would post again.
