Can i mix tramadol 100mg with hydrocodone 10 mg? I can't get my pain under control and I can't even get out of bed. My husband works all the time and I have a 4 year old son to take care of. This is the 6th day that i haven't gotten out of bed. Someone please help with some advice on mixing tramadol and hydrocodone. Thank you.
opiate, there is a mood enhancing or anti-depressant component which makes stopping this drug harder than old fashioned pain killers. Tramadol detox is MUCH harder for me, so I am tapering off. Believe me, I'd much rather go cold turkey, but I can't, at this time, stop my life and take two or three weeks off work to detox.
Hi scared tramadol is an opiod just as is hydrocodone is.That is why it is easing the withdrawal because you are not withdrawaing opiates when you take more opiates.I know that it has been said and even by some doctors that tramadol is not a narcotic.It is,and it is harder to get off of than the hydrocodone from what I hear.I would definitely stop taking this.I am sorry that you were misled.I was on oxy but the withdrawal symptoms are the same,just varying in intensity depending on which one.
i do not take darvocet, cannot take it, causes stomach problems.
Yes, I have experience. And I got addicted to tramadol. You can have a seizure if you take too much of it too. The thing is that the WDs are the only way to get free of the oxy. You can take tram for the WDs, but when you stop the tram, you will have to go through them then! There are things you can do to help the symptoms without getting another addictive substance involved.

yes i am on day three of detoxing from hydrocodone and am currently taking tramadol bout 150 mg a day and it seems to be helping im not really as sick and am pretty mobile i have also used prayer but was wondering if im going to be in the same boat when the tramadol runs out

I also have lower back problems, degenerated disk, herniated disk, and hep c... so far 100mg of tramadol twice a day seems to work for me, I also take hydrocodone once and a while if my pain is bad, same as lortab only 5/500.
Hey guys, Im new here and wanted some advice. Ive been taking Tramadol and Hydrocodone together for about three months off and on, perscribed of course, then I started reading how bad withdrawals can be from the Tramadol, so I quit taking it cold turkey with little side effects. Now I'm getting ready to quit this Hydrocodone, just a little scared from withdrawal and what to expect. will it be bad after just three months. averaged about 40 mgs. daily.
{First time I took Tramadol was in 1999. 2 per day for 1 year. (1 every 12 hours) Then I quit cold turkey. That sucked for about 3 days. But only mild withdrawals. That was my first long term go around with pills.} Then I slowly started getting into hydrocodones. I eventually got really addicted to the hydrocodones. I got on Methadone in Aug 2004. Had to get back on the hydrocodone to get off the methadone. Then I quit the hydrocodones.
Also, I recognize hydrocodone and Tramadol are opiates and must have a prescription. Opiates, especially hydrocodone, can have significant abuse potential but I perceive Tramadol is much friendlier in this regard and, at least for me, provides consistent and significant relief from a problem that is sometimes too distracting to allow normal daily activities.

With Tramadol being somewhat addictive, you can experience WD & DT's. Speaking from personal experience, Tramadol has little to no WD's 'if' taken for a short while. When taken as a steady regimen for longer than 3mo's then you may experience WD's, but only if you quit 'cold-turkey' or stop taking the drug w/out weening off it.
TRAMADOL IS VERY VERY ADDICTIVE! I USED TO TAKE VICODIN THEN THEY CHANGED ME TO TRAMADOL AND I HAVE BEEN ADDICTED OVER 10 YRS NOW. TRAMADOL IS NOT A NARCOTIC SO IT IS PRESCRIBED LIKE CANDY BUT IT IS VERY ADDICTIVE! SAVE YOURSELF THE MISERY PLEASE! AND YES TRAMADOL GIVES YOU A HIGH JUST LIKE VICODIN BUT MUCH LONGER. BUT U WILL HAVE TO TAKE MUCH MORE TO KEEP GETTING HIGH WHICH IS DEADLY! JUST DO NOT TAKE IT!!!! DR's DO NOT KNOW IT ALL!

Sorry to hear that you were put on Norco (Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen) for around three years. But you will be glad to hear that Norco rarely effects the kidney, except when taken in really large doses. The common adverse drug reactions are follows:

ohhhh also taking like a handful at a time of tramadol can cause sezuires .If you abuse tramadol you can sezuires you also want to be sure never to take it while on an SSRI AD honestly I would not want to mix tramadol with and AD .Not only does it increase your seizure risk it also raises the risk of serotonin syndrome which can be fatal.
i am so sorry that you are going through this, but BE STRONG!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! the withdrawals are not pleasant, i am not going to lie to you or sugar coat it. as cathy stated, it is similar to having the flu. the worst part is the psychological affects. try to keep your mind on something else. when i had withdrawls i took hot baths and tried to keep my mind occupied. the best thing i found was sleep. Once took 40 Norco in 14 hours. And I can tell you Tramadol is Far more dangerous to get involved with! The withdrawals are worse than Heroin, many many people have said. I have had withdrawals from Methadone, and I can tell you Tramadol is just as bad. Tramadol is bad news, not to start is the best idea! I'd rather withdrawal from hydrocodone, it is a picnic compared to coming off Tramadol!
