incidentally, is seroquel the only drug you are taking or along with antidepressants. because yes it can trigger mania if you reduce the dose all of a sudden. in fact nobody can tell with certainty because with BP1 one is more vulnerable to becoming manic. This occurred to me, i reduced my seroquel and was on an AD so i got manic which lasted for 8 months. If not for the cessation of the seroquel i might have not have turned manic.

I occasionally take a generic sleeping pill and my doctor first suggested I take half a pill/dose to see how well it works. Splitting in half gives you 24 days, that gets you to the target date While it may not work as well as a full dose, it may be better than having several nights with nothing left before your appointment date. The Seroquel xr for about two and a half months. The Lithium for over ten years. The Lithium, I do not believe it causes weight gain. Seroquel xr, yes. The first question would be, do you actually have bipolar disorder? It's overdiagnosed. Did a psychiatrist or psychologist diagnose you or a regular doc? Because if that's not what you have, yes, Seroquel has as a side effect that it's very sedating, but when you take drugs for psychoses and you're not psychotic they can cause all kinds of odd side effects. And any drug that affects the brain can have odd effects on a particular individual.

I saw her yesterday which was on 10/15/2015. I was taking 25mg or seroquel which I cut in half 12.5mg. And she told me to go to Walgreens pharmacy and for me to get there Valerian Root 450mg with Passion Flower. It made me sleep great and when I woke up in the morning I felt great. I will no longer be taking Seroquel, its like putting poison in your system!!!

s for bipolar or as an add on for depression, you can switch drug classes entirely, which might work better for you. Keep in mind that if you have depression as part of the disorder being treated, the depression itself can wreak havoc with your mental abilities and memory if it's not being controlled properly, which sometimes calls for an increase in meds rather than a decrease. Do not discontinue or change meds without your doctor's approval.

I know it sounds daft but he was told to try and eat a small handful of brazil nuts throughout the day they are a brill form of iron and they did seem to help. Hang in there you are doing really well. I wish you all the best for rest of tx.

You shouldn't be quitting by yourself. If you really hate it, you can point out to your doctor that you don't have to take anything you don't want to, and that you'd rather have a proper schedule. Stopping too quickly could cause a flare up in symptoms. 1200 mg is actually higher than the recommended max dose, which is 800 mg/day, unless you're taking something else that speeds up its metabolism. Another drug might work better for you without feeling so zombifying.

had he had a different form of the meds to take, he would have tried that. but he was anxious to stop. as you know the xr's cannot be broken in half , as this changes the release schedule. thankyou for trying to explain withdrawal to an addict.

2mgs Chlonodine, 1 mg ativan (another pill i found with the tramadol)., the 200mg Seroquel ( well right now, i cut them in half i i dont need it), Its hard to pee at the clinic when they have the random urins, and that 50 mg Tramadol. Sorry to hear of your med problems. You're not alone. I don't understand........if you are no longer seeing the pyschiatrist who prescribed the Seroquel, when did he change the dose? And most p-docs won't up you by 100mg without seeing a real need for it and also discussing it with you. It just seems fishy to me. I hope you call his office and get some clarification on this.

It depends on the drugs half life rogelio. You can google the half life of ativan, and I don't think it is very long. So your body may have been reacting to not having the ativan when it usually does. As for the muscle relaxers I do not know off the top of my head, but google the half life of those. Another idea might be to call your pharmacist, and if he/she is not helpful, call one from a different store. I do that sometimes to get more information and it works teehee! I hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm still VERY tempted to take it because I NEED to sleep or I'm going to go crazy. Maybe I'll call the pharmacy and see what the pharmacists has to say. He/she will probably call me a f***ing idiot for even asking!!

I realize this may sound strange but I was wondering if any of you have a "pill cutter" at home or do you just cut your pill in half with a knife? I am cutting down on the dose of my beta blocker per my Doctor and I was wondering if I have to purchase a pill cutter or can I just cut it with a knife or razor? I am a little anxious because you aren't supposed to "crush or chew" these pills and I'm afraid that if I cut it.......perhaps it will be crumbly.

it just takes time and withdraw slowly . you can feel psychotic also a bit. i suppose consult your pdoc.

Dear Ronndy I would say that 100 mg Seroquel is a very high dosage to treat insomina. Usually you would take only 10-25 mg in that respect. It seems that you could have some withdrawl problems as you stopped klonopin abruptly. As Paxiled pointed out it is a bit "heavy" to prescribe klonopin for insomnia when "lighter" medications are available, for instance zolpidem or zopiklone. Or anti-histamine(allergy-medication as atarax).

Isn't Opana Time Released? I know you're the doctor, but I don't think you should inform people to cut their medications in half, ESPECIALLY if they're time released as this could cause a rapid release of all the medication in turn making her more sick, or am I wrong? Hey there...you cannot cut the dose in half....i would call your doctor and see if he/she can change your meds or if it's ok to stop..Levaquin can be given in 250, 500 & 750 mg doses...I was on Levaquin earlier this year for uti and had horrible side effects, so i just stopped taking the meds...I had horrible heart pounding, swollen knees and it felt as if someone had beaten the crap out of me with a baseball bat...

Yes its ok to cut it in half. It should have a little place on the pill where to cut it. If you want to be absolutely sure you can always ask your pharmacist.

I can't speak for all people but I can say it (Webutrin) has helped me. There are other drugs that help too like Clonidine and crazy as it sounds Seroquel helped me allot! Do not under any cirumstances let anyone give you Suboxone to help with the the w/d's from Darvocet. That's like killing a fly with a shotgun. Sub is a horrible drug and they gave that to me to get off Vicodin. The Sub was way worse than the Vicodin was.
