Can sertraline get you high

Common Questions and Answers about Can sertraline get you high

zoloft

Avatar f tn Sertraline- if it contains HCG then it can give a false positive. I don't think this drug contains HCG so it is possible you have a real positive!
Avatar n tn My pulse rate seems high at times, I get panic attacks when I am out in public for fear of passing out...I feel like a mess. I do have a followup with my Dr. next week but it is always nice to hear from others when my appts. seem to be so quick. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Okay, first of all, I am not a doctor. But I can tell you my own experiences with these meds. I am on several medications for anxiety and depression, some of them are in the same 'family' of meds you are taking. And, yes, I have noticed some stuttering, but mostly when I am excited about something and try to talk too fast. I have been on these meds for about a month, and I do see the stuttering becoming less and less.
Avatar f tn I hope 150 works for you. I had the same problem on Zoloft. I would feel good for a week then I'd be back to high anxiety. I never got past 100 mg as it made me way too jittery. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Sertraline can be taken any time of the day provided you take it the same time each day. Similarly, you can take Clonazepam at fixed time of the day. In practice, it is observed that individuals find out over a period of time which is the best hour of the day for Clonazepam. You can be flexible for a couple of hours initially, but please make sure you take the medicines according to a fixed schedule once you have settled in. Hope this helps. Best Regards.
Avatar f tn He should of given you a clear indication of the amount you should take..... if you need to talk to someone before you can reach the doc maybe call the local hospital and ask to speak to one of the doc's there and see what they say. And i think to be honest they will tell you to stop taking this med.
Avatar f tn Meds work differently for different people. You will likely get a better response from your pharmacist who sees many people taking these meds or the person who prescribed these meds since anecdotal evidence from each person here will not likely apply to your body.
Avatar n tn I have been on Zoloft for 13 years and my dosages has varied in that time. Typically in a spike of Panic and health anxiety we will slowly up my dose (highest was 150). After though I get through my tough time (sometimes a few months) we slowly bring me back down. Right now I am on 50 mgs and that is perfect for me. I choose not to stay at the higher dose due to side effects. But you may also want to talk to your doc about switching your meds.

Avatar f tn I have melancholic depression, and fatigue/numbness/anhedonia are some of my biggest issues. I am currently on 100 mg of zoloft/sertraline and I have been for almost a year now. It hasn't had any negative effects, I haven't gotten more depressed, but the positive effects have been minimal. Mostly I just cry less and am better at redirecting my emotions (ie I dwell less). These are nice effects but I am still depressed.
Avatar m tn If you only took one pill you should be fine if you don't take anymore. No withdrawals or anything like that.
Avatar n tn Zoloft use can change how much medication you will need. It shouldn't cause hypothyroidism. I tried a search. Th high cholesterol may be a sign of the hypothyroidism. Also depression can be a symptom as well. I would look at it like this: You became hypothyroid, and in turn, got depressed and cholesterol increased. Then you were diagnosed. Give the meds time to work and make sure to get follow-up blood work to re-check thyroid and cholesterol levels.
Avatar m tn You can also wait for some time and try to relax and improve your healthy sleep habits. I hope you will get better soon. You can get some useful tips to have good sleep by going through this link: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sleep/HQ01387 Keep physically active and do update on the doctor follow up advice. Take care.
Avatar f tn Responding to a thread gong back 7 years is unlikely to get a response. You may want to try a personal message to either of the above. You can also click on their handle and look at their profile to see if they are still active. If you have a question you'd like explored, I recommend you make a new post. Good luck.
Avatar m tn The other evening I missed taking it and took it first thing in the morning by lunch time I had a migraine. Is this something that my system will get used to eventually or can I expect the migraines to continue indefinitely?
Avatar f tn the Doc here says there is nothing to be done at this time.......I am a bit worried and confused....Can you help with more info?... any help would be greatly appreciated.....
Avatar f tn I also discovered I have a severe vitamin D deficiency. My doc prescribed vitamin D2 50,000IU and Sertraline(25mg). I have been on the Sertraline for a week now, but my reaction to the medication is different this time around. I'm experiencing insomnia, tingling sensations in my hands and head, nausea, feeling spaced out and a lower mood. Does the same SSRI work the second time around? Could I be having these side effects because 25mg is too high of a dose for me?
Avatar m tn Can you just give me a simple answer? My Zoloft hasn't started working yet. Can the effectiveness of Zoloft become diminished by using Vicodin or Percocet? Also can you tell me where you got the idea that I have had anxiety on Zoloft?
Avatar f tn However, most mood medications do take 6-8 weeks to take effect, and you will feel worse before you feel better. But in your case, if you have to return to work soon, that is a problem. Is this the first anti depressant you have been on? Probably a shock to your system. Poor you. I do hope things improve. I too live in the UK.

Avatar m tn Hi , I have been taking 50mg of Sertaline three times daily . I've recently changed Address & Doctor , My new Doctor tells me 150mg can be taken at once in the morning as it is slow acting . ?
Avatar f tn It certainly can get confusing when there are multiple variables involved. Since hypothyroidism can cause some of those symptoms, it seems that the first step should be to get to adequate levels of Free T4 and Free T3, along with Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin. Then, if there are remaining issues, they could be addressed. So, please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report. Also, if tested for D, B12 and ferritin, please post those also.
