ovarian-cysts

Avatar n tn I think possibliy you mean ovarian cysts instead of ovarian fibriods as fibriods are assoicated with the Uterus and ovarian cysts are associated with the ovaries.
Avatar f tn Anechoic cysts tend to be filled with fluid so that is a good sign. Cysts related to ovarian cancer tend to be complex (with solid parts) and grow larger than 5cm. Most cysts (even complex ones) turn out to be benign. It is the general recommendation to watch and wait cysts that are simple and under 5cm. But, since your cyst is already 4.1 cm., I can see why your doctor has mentioned surgery as a possibility. It is possible for your cyst to go away on its own in time.
Avatar m tn This is the 6 time I need to take the cysts out by surgery. what can I do in order to prevent it? what is the source of all the cysts that growing in my body?!
Avatar n tn I have already had a normal period again and we havent really been trying again because I have ovarian cysts and am scheduled to have surgery at the end of this month, but I just realized that my period is two days late. I want to be pregnant, the miscarriage was very hard on me and my partner and I know that he really wants to be a father, but I dont want to go through another miscarriage, I was trying to count and see when it could have happened but I cant really remember, my last a.f.
655897 tn?1328018445 I read the infromation in the box and it said that ectopic or ovarian cysts can give a misleading result. Does that mean they could cause a false positive or a false negative? Do ovarian cysts produce HCG? I thought they only produced progesterone? I am confused. I really hope my level doubles tomorrow..it is so hard to wait. By the way, I forgot to mention that I know that I have three cysts on each ovary which is why I am concerned with a false positive.
Avatar f tn I would ask your doctor to do a repeat FSH test in a few months. Give your body time to heal and all of your hormones to get back to normal. I think that would give a better idea because after surgery your hormones can be out of whack for a few months. When you have a cyst, it can mess with your hormones also. Cysts are know for make one "gain" weight, because when they are big, they bloat you. Give yourself time to heal and then you can go from there.
Avatar f tn Hi, At the age of 24 years with prior history of ovarian cysts, you need to firstly look for any residual cysts and you must rule out PCOS. This can be one of the reasons that can prevent a pregnancy. Hormonal assay, ultrasound scan of the pelvis and ovulation tracking must be done. Consult your Doctor for an evaluation. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor.
Avatar f tn It all started out last year when I thought I had a urinary tract infection because I was having pain in my lower stomach area. I was told it was an ovarian cyst. And to help tone down the pain I would use a heating pad ..every night. I still do. And I'm on my period right now, which is why it hurts more than usual. I'm just so sick of this pain and was wondering if cysts can be cured.. can I get rid of it without having to resort to surgery? I have the pain randomly throughout the week.
Avatar f tn It makes NO difference if he ejaculates or not, you can still get pregnant. Take a pregnancy test with first morning urine, and you need to start using condoms and birth control until you're ready for children.
1297477 tn?1295949511 I have been just 2 month post laporotomy to remove my medium/large follicular ovarian cyst. I am just curious how common or what the odds of getting another ovarian cyst are?!? I have read a lot of the posts on here and from the looks of it, it is quiet common. My doctor put me on Birth Control to hopefully prevent further cysts but didn't seem totally convinced that it would infact work, and scheduled a ultrasound in october.
Avatar f tn Even a faint 1st line means a positive test result. Ovarian cysts can be triggered by a spike in hormones, usually during ovulation. However, not to scare you, ecoptic pregnancy pains closly resemble ovarian cyst pain in the beginning. Please go see your obgyn to test for pregnancy and tell them about your pain. Good luck!!
Avatar f tn My doctor insists that visanne should prevent me from developing ovarian cysts, and every time this happens i have to take for 20 days secondary progesterone. So my question is should i look for somethng else? Maybe my thiroid or any other hormones that could cause ovarian cysts?
Avatar f tn t believe your dr gave you clomid if you hae pcos.
Avatar f tn the only time i get the cysts or cyst is at ovulation. So I am soldering if the cysts can cause fertility issues or are prevent my eggs from releasing? Any info or advice will be appreciated.
Avatar n tn Does birth control help with the pain from ovarian cysts? Does using birth control help ressolve the existing cysts? How long does it take for birth control to show progress in pain and resolution of ovarian cysts? I started using the nuva ring almost two weeks ago. I thought the pain was gone (as it had disappeared for over a week) then all of a sudden this weekend the pain returned with the same intensity. Does this mean the cysts are growing? I am growing extremely frustrated with the pain.
Avatar f tn I dont know what to do about the ovarain cysts. Is there a treatment for it? if yes than how can i get that done. Does ovarian cysts prevent you from having a baby or stops you from conceiving? please help me and reply back to me.
Avatar f tn 1) The paratubal cyst is unrelated to the ovarian cysts, and is something that you were probably born with but which enlarged at some point for reasons that we do not understand 2) Regarding your ovarian cysts, what was the pathology? If they were follicle or corpus luteum cysts, then these are what we call 'physiologic' cysts. Physiologic cysts develop in women every month as the egg matures and is released, and usually are not greater than 25 mm (about one inch) in diameter.
Avatar f tn Hello girls, well I've never suffered from ovarian cysts however my sister in law did before her first pregnancy. She had to go through surgery to remove them. The doctor told her to wait about 3 months after surgery to try to get pregnant again... so she did. She got pregnant, had a beautiful girl (now 7 hrs old) but after that the cysts came back. She realized they were back because she was trying to get pregnant with their second baby two years after.
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts can cause ovarian enlargement and the majority of ovarian cysts are benign. Did you have a scan to determine if you have visible cysts? Most cysts go away on their own. If this persists for you, you may want to talk to you doctor about the possibility of your having an underlying condition like PCOS or endometriosis. But, even with these conditions, the majority of women are still able to conceive.
Avatar f tn This is the first month really trying after having a missed miscarriage in december, so the last thing I needed was something that could prevent or complicate pregnancy. Thanks for the reassurance.
654396 tn?1237508912 1) ovarian cysts are pretty common during the early stages of pregnancy and in the vast majority of cases are benign. Cysts usually "go away" on after a few weeks but if the dont, the doctor might consider options but only if the cysts are large (usually 5-6 cm) or cause you pain 2) its possible, but there are other reasons for multiple cysts too 3) it would be unlikely, but not impossible 4) not sure about this one. When is your next doctors appointment?
