Avatar f tn I hope you get help, and you have support from someone who understands . People think you can just SNAP yourself out of it! If that were true, NOBODY would be depressed, or need help. I developed the panic attacks out of the blue, and they ran my life for years. I am so fortunate they have subsided. There IS help out there, you may have to go to more than one therapist to find someone you connect with. I will pray for you, and know that prayer can help, it is usually a persons LAST resort.

Avatar f tn s family members, who are usually motivated long before the addict is. The best you can do is make certain that you protect yourself and the children, and let the consequences fall where they should fall-- on the shoulders of the addict. Often an opiate addict will not seek treatment until losing everything, or almost everything. For the welfare of the addict, you may need to place, and keep, an ultimatum... including being prepared to walk away if necessary.

Secondly, you need to speak with a medical doctor to point you in the right direction for you needs. Iburpofen in large doses can do serious liver damage. Only a medcial professional can do the appropriate tests to determine if this has occurred.
Avatar f tn I would ask your doctor or pharmacist to be 100% sure, because I am NOT a medical professional, just another patient like you, but technically, yes because Ibuprofen and the acetaminophen in the percocet are two totally different meds. I am prescribed both myself if that helps you at all.
Avatar n tn also, with coke in general, fatal reactions have nothing to do with tolerance -- using coke can kill you anytime, just with the next line. there's no predicting it. any next use can cause a fatal arythmia. but he should absolutely be seen if he took that much. it's like the mules that have condoms-ful explode in their gut -- dead, dead, dead.

Avatar m tn This past 2 weeks I was ill with the h1n1 virus. During the 2 weeks, I consumed over 50 200mg pills of ibuprofen. I have had blood work done twice (5 days ago and 2 days ago). Both resulted in increased liver enzymes. I haven't had any ibuprofen in 4 days. Is it possible that my liver enzyme increase is a result of the "overdose" with the ibuprofen. My doctor has scheduled another blood work screening in two weeks. Will my liver enzymes decrease in this amount of time?
Avatar m tn His doctor was horrified yesterday (day after shot) and had him take Benadryl, Ibuprofen and apply lots of ice. Today he received an IV antiobiotic and will get more tomorrow and find out what it is. The say he may have cellulitis. We both believe that his reaction is due to getting a 2nd dose so soon after the first and we hope that he does not have any lasting issues such as an impaired elbow joint, from this.

Avatar n tn t cause to much trouble, but in fact they can be quite dangerous for our kids (and us). If you suspect you have given her too much and she has overdosed, you should call poison control, or have her seen at the ER right away.
Avatar f tn The problem with ibuprofen or tylenol is that you can cause liver damage that doesn't manifest immediately. An amount like 10,000 is too much for the liver to absorb at one time, and there can be considerable damage that you don't realize at this time. I think you should go to a physician, relate what you have told us, and get appropriate testing. Also, maybe some therapy.....that's helpful usuallly to everyone. Keep me posted. Good luck and God bless.
