And I also wanted to add that after having my daughter.......I have not gotten one since. For some reason, I used to get them monthly....its been 4 months and I have NOT had one!!!!! so happy about that.

My dr said it's ok for me to use monistat for my yeast infection, I have tried everything else. Just wondering if anyone else has used it during pregnancy. I'm a bit of a worrier.

Thanks precious: I was going to use the 3 day monistat tonight but I think I will wait until I call the Dr. on Monday.....thanks for mentioning that!!! For now I will try to take my sitz baths (baking soda bath) and I already took the Diflucan pill.......I have an appt. on Thurs., but I will call on Monday..... Monistat 7 is the safest thing to use during pregnancy. I used it in early pregnancy with my 3 girls and there were healthy. if it was me don't use that prescription, just the Monistat. My doctor that I had, now I'm having my 5th baby and they say Monistat is the safest to use and you can even use the cheapest brand, it's all the same.

the last time I went to the doctors it was confirmed that I had a yeast infection by my doctor and I got diflucan and after a week i still had systems so i bought the monistat 3 to help along the way with the diflucan. but my systems started right after my boyfriend washed our clothes in new detergent.

Yep! I had a yeast infection in the 3rd trimester with my son and I had to take Monistat...it's perfectly safe. Don't be alarmed when almost all of it gushes back out, because now that your cervix is closed to support the pregnancy there's nowhere for the cream to go and it will leak out...so use it before bed or before lying down and that will minimize how much of it comes out immediately, but I would advise wearing a pantyliner!

In my experience, the over the counter creams do not work for me but I am extremely sensitive to medications. I alwasy call my doctor and she'll call in a script for me. But, I think Diflucan is the only oral medication (at least it's the only oral medication I've ever heard of for yeast infections).

I'm 16 weeks and I'm suffering from a horrible yeast infection. I took 7 days of terazol and 3 days of monistat. Neither helped. Creams usually don't on me. Diflucan is the only thing that works but my dr. said he doesn't prescribe it during pregnancy. I'm so sick of it. I'm miserable. Has anyone ever taken diflucan when they were pregnant? What are the side effects to the baby?

Use vagasil wash with ph balance. I use the wipes everytime i use the washroom.

I have had the most severe reaction to Monistat 3 day.. I was able to use all 3 doses. However on the 4th day I started to itch and burn like theres no tommorrow. My yeast infection wasn't even that bad but now I feel like someone set my insides on fire. I even have a chemical like burn mark inside me. I will NEVER use this product again.. My doctor had told me to stop using it and perscribed Diflucan pill for me to take.. Its been almost 20 hours and I am already starting to feel better.

I have had intense vaginal itching for a couple of weeks now. I went to my gyno and she said I definitely had a yeast infection and gave me 2 Diflucan. I've taken both, and I STILL have this intense itch. It doesn't last all day, but comes in bouts and it's driving me crazy! Probiotics,yougurt, changed toilet paper,only washed with mild soap,etc. I changed my whole routine.

By the way, I used Monistat 3 at the start of all these problems and I think it hurt more than it helped. Diflucan didn't help either. I am going to continue the Monistat 7 until I am finished. I'll try and make this as specific as possible. I had my first ever yeast infection November 2017 right after my period.
