Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed me trazodone hydrochloride for anxiety, sumatriptan succinate for migraines, zopiclone for sleep, I've been told I can take the trazodone with zopiclone, but I have the new sumatriptan tablets, it says in the medical pamphlet that it is an MAO-A inhibitor and can't be taken with antidepressants/anxiety tablets. Would it be ok to take both the trazodone hydrochloride and the sumatriptin succinate together?
Avatar f tn It seems to help most of the time. I am also on sumatriptan for migraines. This was the first time I experienced this constant pain right behind my left eye. Thought the pain was from migraines so I took sumatriptan . So migraines are a throbbing pain on one side?
Avatar f tn I have really bad migraines. I used to take Excedrin before I found out I was pregnant as it was practically the only medicine that works since I couldn't take ibuprofen because of my blood problems I had when I was a younger. However when I went to my obgyn and asked what else I could take stronger than Tylenol, she said nothing. Not while pregnant. Just Tylenol.
1102283 tn?1257817472 WOW that's a lot of info! Thank you a ton for this. I'll go talk to them at the clinic this week and see what I can do. Hopefully I can come out of there with something that will help.
Avatar f tn Hiya Girls, does anyone know what sort of painkillers i can take, i keep getting bad headache and i would normally take ibuprofen for it, but i have heard thats not good for the baby
Avatar f tn Yesterday morning I woke up around 4am with another migraine. I took my sumatriptan, and the migraine was gone when I woke up again. I commuted to my college, and went about my day. Yesterday evening it came back (maybe a rebound?). Knowing that it typically gets worse, I took a sumatriptan before bed. Last night, I woke up every hour desperate for relief. Ice didn't work. Changing my position didn't work.
Avatar m tn The thought behind being cool is that the pain is a result of swelling in the nasal cavity/sinuses that presses against a nerve or something and keeping cool means the swelling doesn’t happen. He can take Sumatriptan tablets, which help reduce blood vessels, and these seem to work but he's limited to 8 a month. The feeling he has is that there is a blockage or the nasal valve in the right nostril has collapsed or malfunctioned.
Avatar f tn i had flu was on co-codamol and some throat spray x
Avatar f tn I always used ibuprofen prior to getting pregnant because Tylenol wasn't strong enough. However 2 rounds of 1000mg seems to get the job done. Haven't taken me than that in a day.
Avatar n tn I have been having migraines for the last 5 to 6 years and i want to know what i can do about them i get them more and more. I have a migraine atleast 7 times a month. I have no idea what to do about them and i hope that someone can answer my question?
Avatar f tn I have a pounding headache and cannot sleep. What medication can I take that is safe. I'm 17 weeks pregnant...
Avatar f tn I have suffered migraines for 3 years; I am 54 (female). I have done everything to treat them including inpatient iv drugs (3x). relief is getting more and more temporary. the pain always originates in the occipital area. I have some bilateral ear pain, and occasionally my scalp feels inflamed. in addition, when I bend over water runs out my nose and my nose just generally drips water all day long. brain MRI negative. had sinus surgery in 1995. laminectomy L4 L5 in 1995.
Avatar f tn You can always check in with your doctor and I would go slow getting back to it and stop if anything causes pain. You can also take an over the counter anti inflammatory for pain and swelling (such as ibuprofen). We wish you the best.
Avatar n tn Deviated Septem was also ruled out. I just wanted to know what the next step should I take and if I have reached the end of the possibilities and just live with it.
655875 tn?1295695107 I seem to be getting these migraines every few days. I can not exersice, it will increase my neck pain to the point where I can not handle it. Even a simple walk will increase the involuntary head jerking/tic I have developed with this injury. I wish I could exercise, I'm a runner and I run 36 miles a week. I also race in a few triathlons here and there when I have the time.
1460967 tn?1512401138 Also the headache might be a good sign. I am not sure if you can take ibuprofen, but Tylenol is the safest. SSBD to you. Looks like it's your time. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Hi. I take it you've not tried plain old paracetamol + ibuprofen to see of that'll help? If you have a history of addiction it's not 100% safe to have what can be an addictive med. However it MUST NOT be taken with alcohol so if you do take tramadol and it helps the pain and you don't drink then that's great. But if you slip up then you must stop and find another way for the pain.
Avatar f tn I never had any until a year and a half ago when I was T-boned. The specialists I see say this is quite common. I don't seem to have any food or odor triggers, but the weather, especially rain, bring them on. I have a migraine of some degree about 28 days of the month. I get Botox injections, am on Topomax, Sumatriptan, anti nausea meds...the whole works. My life was changed in an instant. I am wondering if anyone has had a similar incident, and recovered???
Avatar f tn / I take a warm bath and just relax. Try drinking some water and lying on your left side. You can take reg tylonel . that's about it .
7758733 tn?1402589420 I don't take it on a regular basis, I don't even take it everytime I get a headache. But I did just take 2, oops should have asked you first!
Avatar f tn You can take Sudafed, and stop taking ibuprofen. So bad for baby. Call your doctor for things to take. My doctor said I could do Sudafed, Claritin, ir Benadryl.
