Hi everyone, I know I have ask you guys about the sub, Trileptal and Lexapro making you gain weight so I ask my psyc. about it and he looked in his little book and said that it is not reported to really increase appetite but there are studies that say that lexapro does but he also said but the pill dosen't weigh 10 pounds so I think you will be ok.

I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. For about a month now I have been having Anxiety attacks and Depression really bad. I fought out I shouldn't take Phentermine if I have Anxiety or Depression. So I was going to get back on my meds. that I used to take which was Welbrutain XL and Xanxa .

Thank you both for the info. Yesterday was only the 2nd day I was on the meds. I think I had an allergic reaction to the hydrochlorothizide. I had these bumps on my face and lip that looked like I had spider bites. I took benadryl and it went away. I am not going to take the hydrochlorothiazide today. If I don't get a reaction then I know it was that and I won't continue with it. If I still get it from the phentermine, I will stop taking it altogether.

I am a 27 year old female. When I was 22, I took the drugs adderall, lexapro and ephedrine/phentermine (diet pills-occasionally). One night, my heart rate shot up and would not come back down, don’t matter what I tried. I went to the emergency room and they said it was the drugs I was taking. When I was 23, I began having syncope episodes and got a pacemaker. Looking back, I believe the syncope episodes were caused by the adderall and lexapro. However, I have had chest pains ever since.

Hello! In July of Last year I was put on birth control pills to help with my diagnoses of PCOS. Long story short, I developed a Massive Pulmonary Embolism in my lungs due to the contraceptives. It did a number to my heart as it passed through. I was then put on blood thinners and Metoprolol. I am now off the thinners but my Heart Doctor kept me on the Beta Blockers because I still had Tachycardia and my blood pressure is still a little high.

I found Lexapro helpful for panic attacks and on the rare occasion that I feel them coming on I take xanax immediately. I learned ways to prevent them and although it took practice I was quite successful. Basically, you have to learn how to just let them be when they do happen, fighting them and dreading them increases the anxiety and the severity of the attacks. Look into it...best of luck.

Vitamin B12 is not a diet aid. I can vouch for that, as I take shots weekly to treat pernicious anemia. Phentermine should only be taken under close doctor supervision.

t have much results with phentermine but I can say that it distracts my brain into not thinking about food. I just stay busy the best I can and try not to be around food. The downside of Phentermine for me was: I usually don't feel it working, Caffeine will counter act mine as well as stress and anything else negative in my life. I have to agree with Peek. The problem with any drug used for weight loss is there are side effects known and possibly not known. Plus these drugs are only effective if used in combination with a proper diet, exercise and behavior modification. Heck, you can lose weight without these drugs if you just follow the proper diet, exercise and behavior modification recommendation. I joined WW on 1/17/08 and have lost 13 pounds to date. Granted, this is slow progress but it IS progress.
