Avatar f tn Hi. I take it you've not tried plain old paracetamol + ibuprofen to see of that'll help? If you have a history of addiction it's not 100% safe to have what can be an addictive med. However it MUST NOT be taken with alcohol so if you do take tramadol and it helps the pain and you don't drink then that's great. But if you slip up then you must stop and find another way for the pain.
1225178 tn?1318980604 I had to take ibuprofen too - Ultram did absolutely nothing for me. Once in a while I could take a percocet or two but the doc was pretty careful because of my past history, so I only got them for real emergencies. I think your doc should write you something better than Ultram...you couldn't use it all the time or you'd become addicted to it as I once was however once in a while it sure could give you some relief.
1326416 tn?1370927001 I am currently taking percocet as a break through med with morphine sustained release. I didn't have a choice on what I could take for breakthrough medicine. I don't take more than 1950 mg of tylenol per day via the percocet. I think the percocet and the vicodin puts a "cap" on how much a person can take before destroying their liver. My doctor has been very trustworthy of me but always wants me to stay on these combo meds.
Avatar f tn I have really bad migraines. I used to take Excedrin before I found out I was pregnant as it was practically the only medicine that works since I couldn't take ibuprofen because of my blood problems I had when I was a younger. However when I went to my obgyn and asked what else I could take stronger than Tylenol, she said nothing. Not while pregnant. Just Tylenol.
203003 tn?1210855907 Ive never heard of a Percocet 30mg, but Percocet and Oxycontin are not the same thing...I believe that Oxycontin is time released while Percocet is not...please someone correct me if Im wrong...hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I got Percocet, prescription strength ibuprofen, and Loritab
1930941 tn?1400107522 He wants me to take pain meds afterwards. I think I can handle it if I make my husband divy out my meds...but I am scared. The Dr. said he does not think Advil 800 will be enough. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to go down the addiction road again. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Hiya Girls, does anyone know what sort of painkillers i can take, i keep getting bad headache and i would normally take ibuprofen for it, but i have heard thats not good for the baby
Avatar f tn I tried a few times to not take it, but when I dont I get very restless and get a bad headache. When I take it the heafache goes away within 10 to 20 mins and the restlessness goes awau too. I dont want to take pills all the time, I already have a bad liver from a previous surgery. My question is, is this a sign of addiction? What can I do to stop the feelings and the pills? Ive alreaduy weened myself down to 1 pill. Please help, I dont want to form a depency and I think I may have already.
Avatar f tn Is it safe to take 800mg ibuprofen & 650mg Percocet (each pill 325mg) together at once?
Avatar f tn t cut it for you then the next time that you can take some meds take the percocet. By the third day I barely needed the advil anymore. I hope it starts to feel better for you soon! Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar f tn i had flu was on co-codamol and some throat spray x
Avatar m tn Hi, I had arthroscopic ACL reconstruction 5 days ago and was initially prescribed Percocet (5 mg oxycodone 325 mg acetaminophen) for pain. Now that my pain has lessened, I only take it at night because it makes me fall asleep almost instantly. Physical therapy is painful and ibuprofen doesn't help much, but I dont want to take percocets during the day so my dr gave me a prescription for 50mg tramadol, which I have never used before.
Avatar f tn i am constantly prescribed vicoden and percocet for chronic back pain i dont want to harm my baby but i also am in severe pain everyday... how harmful are these and will they still prescribable to me.
Avatar f tn I took my pain meds after I have birth while breastfeeding. Just tell them maybe you need something a little less strong.
973849 tn?1274946979 Pretty intense the last year. I have to keep my job and home so I still just take Ibuprofen. I found out I had very big benign tumors. I had an artery embolism to try to help. It causes great pain especially the fist night in the hospital. I don't have blood pressure problems but my pressure went very high and they gave me blood pressure meds. The pain meds there took the edge off the pain. They sent me home with percocet and hydromorphone if the first wasn't enough.
Avatar f tn I always used ibuprofen prior to getting pregnant because Tylenol wasn't strong enough. However 2 rounds of 1000mg seems to get the job done. Haven't taken me than that in a day.
Avatar f tn I had a c-section with my first. The gave me percocet in the hospital and to come home for the pain. I breastfed and used formula (I didn't have enough milk). My baby was fine. I didn't think the recovery was that bad. I telly didn't have any pain after being home a couple of days.
Avatar f tn As far as the codiene/foricet I find it to do little now. I think sometimes just an Ibuprofen helps as much. Personally I agree with Dragonhater, get whatever you can from your doctor to make yourself comfortable.
Avatar f tn After that, you just get Tylenol or ibuprofen, unless you had a csection or other complication, they may give you percocet. You can get tylenol and ibuprofen in liquid or chewable tablets as well.
Avatar f tn I passed a stone already with this baby but fought the pain when I get a next attack I will go in for pain killers. Also you can not take ibuprofen while pregnant.
