Avatar n tn i am currently taking 20mg citalopram, i suffer with server back problems and im usually prescribed naproxen 250mg which help with the pain. Am i able to take my naproxen with my citalopram? as i am currently lots of pain and unsure what can take.
Avatar n tn I'm worried! My fiancee' has been prescribed Tramadol, which worked very well for him but he has gone through 40 pills in 10 days and the way his dr. wrote his script it says "use 1-2 tablets every 8 hours as needed" so he cannot get a refill for another 2 weeks. He saw a local dr. who prescribed Flexeril, Percocet and Naproxen.
790137 tn?1318064425 I take naproxen twice a day as needed for the pain
1303537 tn?1317800741 m sure most of you know. Anyways, my question is can I take naproxen? That isnt a opiate? I just dont wanna mess up and not know it! I get drug tested everyweek so I dont wanna take something I shouldnt. I also started taking wellbutrin, i noticed after around day 45 i was over the "clean and sober bliss" and started to feel down and didnt wanna get in bed, ate soo much. Anyways I really need something for my back let me know what you think.
Avatar n tn I wonder whether I can just take Sulfasalazine and avoid Naproxen (pain killer) and Omeprazole (acid reducer) if pain is within my endurance level. I really dont want to upset my stomach by flooding with drugs. By the way, can the disease damage any joints in the later years even though drugs are being taken to control it. What are the percentage of recovery or is there any case of having full recovery.
Avatar m tn I am in the military. I took a drug test last week. It came back positive for THC. I don't not smoke. Yes, I do have friends I spend majority of my time with that do smoke. I current take Naproxen 500MG two or three times a day (depending on pain) and Percocet (OR SUB)--5MG / 325MG. I have been taking Naproxen for almost two months and Percocet for about 2 weeks. Could it be a false positive?
Avatar f tn My son was in a car wreck early this am. He is pretty banged up and in quite a bit of pain- but ok considering that the driver lost control, hit a mailbox, took out a tree and ended upside a telephone pole. He has been on sub for about 80 days and has tapered down to.25 mgs. He had that dose for the last 5 days and .5 for five days before that. He told the EMT and the ER Docs his sub history.
Avatar f tn Im scared to take anything during pregnancy, but i will take flexeril on nights that my husnand is working. Sometimes i cant get up to use the bathroom at night, because i cant walk. So i will take it once every couple of weeks when he has a night shift and i really need it. I am not totally positive on this, but i beleive its a category B pregnancy drug. Dont quote me on that though!
Avatar m tn No, it's not a narcotic. You should be fine with it. Just don't take a whole lot of it because I read where it can contribute to loose stool.
Avatar f tn LOL, if you're feeling that way, I think you need a new "family" too. I can vouch for Darvocet and Flexeril only making me sleepy and slow. If I need a muscle relaxer during the day when I am working, I take Zanaflex instead of Flexeril. When i was first diagnosed, they started me on Naproxen, Plaquenil, Omniprozole, darvocet and Flexeril.
Avatar m tn Flexeril and soma are both muscle relaxers....doesn't seem as if teking both each day would be of any benefit...flexeril is the safer of the two as far as addiction....there are some warnings posted as far as anti-depressents and some of the aminos...I was on lexapro (anti-depressent) during detox...nuerontin, I also take flexeril rarely but it can help you sleep..I followed the recipe without difficulty...
232328 tn?1207090071 i have a low resistence to muscle relaxers i think after reading on here...zanaflax really knocks me out...when i do take a flexeril...i take 5 mg if i can 10 only if i feel i am really hurting...it gives me a hang over a little bit in the morning and that is why i rarely take it ..everyone is different tho perhaps if i took it more often maybe the drowsiness would not be as bad...
Avatar f tn I did a cortisone shot and it only lasted about 2 weeks. I still have to take 4-5 Goody extra strength powders a day, 2 naproxen 500, and 1 or 2 motrin 800 daily and ice/heat for any reflief. The only thing they prescribe is motrin and flexeril which doesnt help. Does this sound like instability, tendinosis, or bursitis?
Avatar f tn t give me anything that was dangerous but I researched it and some websites say not to take it during pregnancy ?
1415174 tn?1453243103 Us Gemini's are having a ball with Flexeril! I just started taking it. I must say I got a great night sleep for once! Have arthritis, chronic insomnia, partial paralysis, hypersensitive to pain. The generic vicoden wires me badly, can't take after 4pm. Really want to take percocet for pain, works great but got a new doc (old one retired) and she gave me vicoden instead-BAD idea!
Avatar f tn s of prednisone three times a day to try to get my flare under control and I take neurontin for pain, although I have to admit it does not help much with the bone pain but helps with the muscle pain. I also take Flexeril three times a day with a xanax to calm the muscles, I have severe spasticity in my hip and I usually get a nice shot of lidocaine in my back everytime I go to the Dr office. It is worth the money for the few hours of relief.
Avatar f tn I just finished another round of physical therapy where I met all of my goals so I was discharged, but I my left leg still constantly aches. I have tried Ibuprofen and Naproxen and Flexeril (in case is was spasm related) but they don't seem to work. If only I had a live-in massage therapist. The pain runs up the ourside of my leg. It is most intense in my lower leg. Ankle and thigh. My doctor won't prescribe anything.
Avatar f tn Now my ob just has me on the lowest dose of flexeril but it seems to do nothing for it. Just 10 more weeks though i think i can make it if i've gotten this far.
402205 tn?1230481005 I used to take flexeril but it stopped working for me and I was always able to stop c/t without any problems. I currently take 800mg 3xday of Skelaxin and there are no dependence issues at all, so I think you would be fairly safe not relapsing. I have read posts on here regarding soma which is a muscle relaxer and apparently it is addicting. You can also take upto 800mgs of IBprofen 3xday which really helps with muscle and joint pain.
Avatar n tn oh, and my doctor says letss see if it disloves by your next menstrual. he gave me naproxen and vicoprofen for the pain, i dont understand how naproxen is gonna help get rid of the cysts. what should i do?
Avatar n tn m pretty sure 1500 mg is the absolute max for Naproxen in 24 hours (I would talk to pharmacy). I do know that you can take Tylenol with Naproxen so you might want to give that a try before calling the doctor. Try heat 20 min then ice 20 min back and forth. After you have tried everything you can think of to aleaveate your pain if nothing works make an appointment talk to your doctor and maybe they will prescribed something else.
Avatar m tn I didnt know if it would have bad reactions to my xanax whichj i only take when needed. Or my flexeril which i take 3 times a day. I started taking that about 3 days ago and i thought yesterday i was feeling a little better, but today I still have alot neck preasure and weakness in neck and stiffness. Its getting hard to tell the difference of weakness and preasure. Do you think it will be safe to take my prednisone with the flexeril and xanax.
Avatar f tn I did not have the classic popping/locking jaw. She gave me naproxen, flexeril, and xanax to hep with the symptoms. The headaches dulled a little but never fully went away. I stopped taking the flexeril after about a week because it was making me feel hungover in the morning. I would take the xanax only occasionally, and the naproxen twice a day. I was finally referred to a neurologist about three weeks ago and have had an MRI and an MRA, which both came back clear.
