I was on xanax and went to the ER the other day for a bad panic attack and they switched me to Klonopin. I just started taking zoloft and have major anxiety from it. I don't feel like the klonopin is working and want to go back to the xanax which is what my DR prescribed. Do I have to wait any about of time before going back to the xanax from the klonopin? I took my last dose at 530 tonight. I just heard that klonopin stays in your system longer and don't want the two to interact.
I went to a pain management clinic for over 15 years but I cannot find a new clinic that will accept me because I take Xanax AND I CANNOT COME OFF THEM I have tried several times. My psychiatrist has even written a letter to some clinics stating I cannot come off of the Xanax but they still refuse to take me and want to put me on Suboxone and I do not know what to do. I CANNOT TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE.

yes it could be from the xanax and it's not a good idea to take it much. Effexor can help with depression but also made me feel detached and impotenet so I no longer take it and take welbutrin instead. I'm not sure if it's helping but at least I won't have that problem.
I take Celexa (citalopram) and I have taken Effexor XR in the past. The Effexor was best for my GAD, but I still needed Klonopin (.5 mg 2x a day) to keep the panick attacks away. BTW I quit the Effexor xr because I switched to insurance that only covers generics. I had no problem tapering off it unlike some horror stories I've heard from others. I now take the Celexa and klonopin and seem to be fine for now.
Thanks for the comment. I have been on been on it since June I started bc my panic was pretty bad and hit me all of a sudden, had test after test and could find nothing wrong with me. I think it has been making me feel better, I had to have it increased a couple of times. I have been prescribed xanax but I don't normally take it as I don't want to become addicted so I do t know when to take it.
My Dr. is prescribing the Buspar, in addition to my Lexapro, and Xanax. Cause I told her I can't take the Xanax all day long cause it knocks me out, and right after I come off Xanax I go right back into a constant panic attack. We are going to try to give the Lexapro a little longer to build up (it's only been 15 days) and if it doesn't work or gets worse by next week, we're going to talk about weaning over to Effexor. I HATE ANXIETY!!!!!

Also have tried Xanax it didn't work. The clonazepan isn't doing anything either....
I am really not a drinker. I take xanax 3 mgs. daily and ever since I have been back from vacation, I have had a feeling of slight depression. It has been almost six weeks and I still don't feel "normal". I am extremely agitated, nervous and out of sorts. I don't feel like myself. I have trouble making decisions and difficulty concentrating. Things seem surreal. I am beginning to feel like I am losing it. If anyone can provide any information I sure would appreciate it.
50mg and I shouldnt feel the terrible withdrawl symtoms that comes with effexor, so day one I take my pristiq and valium, by the middle of the day, it felt as if I misssed taking my Effexor dose, my brain started zapping terrible, stomach aches etc. I thought there would be no problem, so I was upset, I called the pdoc back and explained what was going on, he said well I guess you can take a 75mg effexor and your pristiq, why would he not know this? Why wouldnt he warn me?
After doing more research, I found out that the Effexor can cause the same problems that the Celexa can (and I started having palpitations while I was on the Effexor, one of the signs of the interaction). When I spoke to another doctor about it (a friend of a friend), he was surprised that the doctor threw me on the 75's when I was already taking 100mg of the Metoprolol.
Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. My GI doctor has me on Nexium 40mg. and my PCP wants me to take Zantac 75mg. at night before I go to bed. Is it safe, and can I take it with Xanax 1mg. I have GERDS and Barrett's Esophagus. And they both think it mjght be causing these little pinpoint pimples in my mouth, tongue, and throat.
It takes time. I would say the first 4 weeks after discontinuation are the worst.
After the second month med free, you should be feeling a bit better.
I used to take 300Mgs a day for 4 years and I was able to get off it. I'm sure you can do it too. It's just a slow adjustment. Just keep in mind that often Depression can return. Sometimes worse than before and with no AD medication the symptoms of this depression can be a lot stronger than the first episode.
I can have moments where I feel fine and then these feelings come back. Then Wednesday I woke up to a panic attack. I did speak with my endocrinologist and he felt like I sounded extremely disjointed and recommended I restart the Effexor at 37.5 mg for now. I guess the advice I am looking for is since I have gone through the process this far to get to this point, does it really make sense to get back on this drug? I was just diagnosed with an autoammune disease and don't want to take plaquenil just yet. Doctor said to take celebrex and a muscle relaxer. I have been taking 1 mg of xanax for 3 weeks and before that it was about twice a week as needed. I was having such anxiety and sleep issues rhemy said to take it every day. Now 3 weeks later she wants to try the new coctail of celebrex and muscle relaxer.
BUT I can tell you that I tried Effexor years ago and I had the worst w/d symptoms. I thought I was dying....I really think you need to do it under a doctors supervision. I am not trying to scare you but I am being honest. I was dizzy.....sick.....shakey....and I wasn't on it very long. It was HORRIBLE. I didn't wean or anything...I just quit which was stupid. I didn't know I was supposed to taper.
I suffer from sleep disorder and anxiety once in a while, i was taking xanax .5mg every night to be able to sleep but now I want to get completely off it. I used to take regular ambien to get a good night rest and everything was fine and dandy. one time I thought I was having freaking heart attack and I felt like bugs were crwaling in my skin, i went over to the E-Room and they told me that I had GAD, this is when Xanax came in to my life.
Hello, I'm in hell. I've been off of Effexor for 7 days now, at least. The withdrawal effects are beyond horrific. I feel extremely agitated and angry most of the time, hopeless, Like I should committ suicide so I don't put my family through the hell of having me in there life. I know these are not normal thoughts and I'm not going to kill myself I just need help.
