Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar f tn I posted this on one of my other discussions - so sorry if it seems repetitive. The pain hit as I was trying - yet again - to catch some sleep. I just couldn't lie comfortably. I finally gave in & took 2 paracetamol & 2 amitriptyline which my dr said would take the edge off the pain. It's codeine that I'm trying to quit - and I didn't take it - but I felt I needed something to numb the pain! Have I failed?
Avatar m tn Etoricoxib is quite safe can be given in her case, but against prescription. But I would suggest you to consult physician and discuss about appropriate painkillers. Take care and regards.
726324 tn?1324074610 My High Risk OB told me to take Tylenol Cold and Flu (severe) it worked pretty fast and I had no problems at all! I hope you get some relief!

Avatar f tn t know that opiods cause the release of histamine. No wonder I itch like crazy when I take them. I just knew that the itching was a side effect. I wonder if you could use an opiod cough med for pain? I know a lot of people use the pain meds for cough. They generally don't have the additional pain reliever in them. Tussionex (pricey) has an antihistamine in it. Just some thoughts. Good luck with your procedure and I am sure that your doctors will figure something out for you.
Avatar f tn Hi all I'm 30+5 weeks with a stinking cough and cold is there anything I can take other than paracetamol and soothers?
Avatar f tn I have a really bad cough and a sore throat but I'm not sure what all I can take.. when I Google it, the only thing that comes up is lemon water and honey for my throat. Hasn't worked for me so is there anything else?
599170 tn?1300973893 (it does really hurt - waaaaaaaay worse than childbirth - thats for sure) If you can take paracetamol and diclofenac regularly (depending on what your docs prescribe) and only take the opiods (eg codeine/morphine) when the pain is really bad - as they can be constipating and the last thing you want to be doing with a sore bum is straining to pass a hard bowel movement.
Avatar f tn s given me some extra pain killers and told me to take the following. 8x paracetamol, 3x diclofenac, 4-8 codeine a day. This should keep the pain to minimal whilst she looks over the last results. Other than that, no idea what is causing it, but as it has been 4.5 weeks, they want to get to the bottom of it.
Avatar m tn Hi, There are other NSAIDS other than diclofenac that can be used in the treatment of gout. These include indomethacin and naproxen. Even paracetamol (acetaminophen) can provide pain relief in a gout attack. If your father has been prescribed a medication called dutasteride for treatment of the BPH, it is possible that the diclofenac was interacting with it and leading to his problems with urination.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am a 32 years old male and I have been having persistent headache and tinnitus for the past 1 month. Before this on October 2010, I was diagnosed with depression and was prescribed fluvoxamine and risperidone but I have stopped since December last year (still under session though). In January 2011 I suddenly had a 4 day fever and when it finally goes away, I had rash all over my body that is red but does not itch much.
653169 tn?1303446369 I take Diclofenac XR now and have had trouble with other prescription NSAIDs upsetting my stomach. For me, this one seems to be the best out of all I've tried and it's the most effective for my inflammation. I tried Mobic and Nabumatone and had problems with upset stomach and headache. In addition to Fibromyalgia I also have arthritis in my spine and shoulder, so I take it for that and I can't live without it. Ibuprofen and Naproxen doesn't even touch the inflammation and pain.

1130095 tn?1267369259 My worst symptoms are chronic cluster/migraine headaches, general muscle pain particularly my clave muscles and my neck, waking up just as tired or more tired that when I woke up, concentration problems and not being able to think or speak properly and I also have a constant thirst (I can easily drink 10-12 litres of water/juice a day) So far I have tryed; co-codamol 30-500 , diclofenac, ibuprofen, paracetamol, and am using at the moment Tamadol 200sr 2times a day, Tramadol 50mg upto 4times
Avatar n tn I Am 6 Weeks Pregnant And Just Started Getting Sick. What Is There That I Can Take?
Avatar f tn diclofenac sodium 50 mg, paracetamol 500 mg.) daily once in evening.
Avatar f tn Hi. I take it you've not tried plain old paracetamol + ibuprofen to see of that'll help? If you have a history of addiction it's not 100% safe to have what can be an addictive med. However it MUST NOT be taken with alcohol so if you do take tramadol and it helps the pain and you don't drink then that's great. But if you slip up then you must stop and find another way for the pain.
Avatar m tn She has gradually moved from Paracetamol and Ibuprofen to Co-Codemol and Diclofenac Sodium, and most recenly to Dihydrocodeine 30mg. She hates taking medicine, but has been on this stuff around the clock since the injury; yet the headaches occasionaly 'burn through' the medicine. She describes the pain as equivalent with childbirth contractions. In the space of 17 days, she has been to A&E 3 times and the local GP surgery a couple of times.
1198371 tn?1265930422 We have to remember we have to walk before we can run. I was given diclofenac for 5 days and paracetamol and although it was very uncomfortable and quite painful I'm glad I wasn't on any stronger painkillers as these don't help your recovery as far as I'm concerned.
Avatar f tn I am on long term usage of Mobic and it works great for me .. it does take time to build up and likewise, when I try to stop it takes days for the pain to come back but when it does, I am in bad bad pain (a flare) ... I recently tried the new Diclofenic patches which did 0% for me and I went back to oral meds instead. I have a severe tibial tendonitis/arthritis issue in my ankle area with no cure at this time.
Avatar f tn I usually take two paracetamol how many should i take now I'm 3 weeks pregnant
Avatar m tn Hello. My father has a surgery appointment for 6 hours later. This is a varicocele surgery on his testicles. He had a high fever a few hours ago. I injected diclofenac 75mg in his muscle due to his request. After that, I read about something like "Do not take diclofenac at least 7 days before a surgery". This is about the risk of bleeding, right? So, if his surgeon say that it will be ok, can we trust him? I'm freaking out. Please tell me what should I do. Thanks a lot.
741741 tn?1294284010 Just plain everyday paracetamol.
Avatar f tn I had an allergic reaction to (apparently) a NSAID. I've taken a lot NSAID's all my life for different reasons. I also have a long history of allergies in my life (rhinitis, latex, dog and cat hair, contact and atopic dermatitis) and my grandmother was allergic to basically 90% of all drugs.
