I searched online for what this was and I found thrush, I found that some patients with hiv experience this. Scared I called my doctor, yet he told me that it is a side effect that is common with the high dose of augmentin I recieved. I finished the augmentin and I have no sore throat just thrush I recently started an anti fungal for it though. So I have some questions.
1.When someone contracts HIV are symptoms spread out like this?
2. Is 6 weeks too late to have symptoms of ARS?

If there was no more than the 3 days of therapy then I would ck. with the Dr. again. The boil may need to be lanced and drained and additional antibiotic therapy prescribed. Sometimes warm compresses are advised to bring a boil to a head and permit it to rupture and drain but you should ck. with her Dr. before attempting any additional treatment. Regards .....
Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me. I need to have a conversation with my boyfriend about this but I also need to know that I actually had an STD before I accuse him of giving me one. If I did have an STD there is no chance it was from anyone else and he also needs to get treated. I am still going to visit my doctor to get tested for all STD's in case he gave me more than one. : (
I am wondering if it is possible that the augmentin treated the trichomonas or whatever other issue I had.

Hi there. So, to treat for strep they have to swab your throat. You must have had strep present on the swab which means that really was the issue. And strep can be a little resistant. Augmentin does usually knock it out though. I took antibiotics for a full month around the clock for a tooth issue (yes, 4 times a day and got up at night or it). I was fine during. About two weeks after stopping, all heck broke loose in my GI track. I did get a yeast infection and treated that.
Augmentin can cause liver damage, as can tylenol (if you take more than the recommended 4,000 mg/day). I suppose that the risk would be increased with concurrent use of augmentin and tylenol. Usually, once you have stopped taking the medication, your enzymes could trend downwards to normal.
