can i take advil with wellbutrin

I just dont wanna mess up and not know it! I get drug tested everyweek so I dont wanna take something I shouldnt. I also started taking wellbutrin, i noticed after around day 45 i was over the "clean and sober bliss" and started to feel down and didnt wanna get in bed, ate soo much. Anyways I really need something for my back let me know what you think.

I would be careful taking Advil PM as it has an antihistamine in it and might make RLS worse. I mistakenly took Nyquil with an antihistamine in it and had the shakes real bad. So be cautious..

I take 100 mg Wellbutrin SR twice a day and was wondering if I could take a couple of extra strength tylenols with this - I have a cold currently. Thanks!

I agree with Pooh, take Tylenol. I think most hepatologists recommend it for liver patients, up to 2000 mg per day. NSAIDs (including Advil, Motrin, aspirin, pretty much every OTC pain-killer other than Tylenol) are contraindicated if you have liver disease.

Knowing that Flu like symptoms were a side effect, I did get a Flu shot in August, prior to tx. Today, right now, I really feel like I am fighting off a cold or Flu. Can I take something like Nyquil but without alcohol??? Thanks. Just took the day off sick yesterday, and don't want to be out tomorrow.

so with the doxy and the 3 advil, i would not want to take anything else. it is a weird/awkward procedure but it is not much worse than having a longer than usual exam/pap smear. you'll feel better if you are coherent and can understand what they are doing. they explain along the way and tell you what looks good/is normal as they go.

U can also take advil up to 28weeks....

I have read that wellbutrin is safe to take during pregnancy and can cause weight loss (I am talking weight loss before pregnancy), so if it works as an antihistamine as well, it might be perfect for me. Thoughts??

i have had depression for about 8 years now, i was on lexapro for a long time and it helped my depression for the most part but i think it wore off because it just didnt work anymore, i was put on wellbutrin a month ago, and since being on it i have felt so angry and irritable i literally lay in bed and cry or just be mad i want nothing to do with anyone and its just not a good thing so obviously i need to come off this, any ideas if this is something that is normal or maybe its just me coming o

Hello. Been a long time since posted last here. Was going through a really rough patch last spring. Had a good summer. That time of year where its getting cold and dark. That dark cloud is trying to make its way back in my life. Been taking Wellbutrin for 5 or 6 months with some limited success. I dont take it consistently though--I'm terrible about that as I just dont want to accept I may need to take antidepressants--gotta do things my way. Anyone else feel the same way.

I am currently trying to taper off of Lortab after a failed C/T attempt and am having sleep issues. I was wondering if any of you know if you can take Wellbutrin and Melatonin at the same time. I took Wellbutrin for a Post-Traumatic Stress situation last year and then stopped once my depression was mostly over and then I started using it again about two weeks before I decided to quit the pills in the hopes that it would help the depression that i knew would happen.

shell, I have to take the Rebif mornings or it interferes with my sleep. I also have to take the oxycodone/acetaminophen in the morning or I can't move. ess. I am thinking along the same line...that the acetaminophen is enough. I was fine yesterday. And yes, the less medication the happier I am!! Just hoping it doesn't backfire on me.. As some of you know I suffer from severe health anxiety...I started going through a particularly bad time last fall...I am constantly afraid of headaches,fevers,muscle aches etc..as a result of this I started taking advil constantly and I am up to about 10 to 12 liquigels a day..If I don't take them my anxiety goes through the roof and I start to imagine headaches,pain etc...this can't be good for me..and I don't know how to stop...

Danie i agree with you!! I don't like Tylenol. It doesn't work for me at all. Advil does the job.

yesterday at 1 PM and yawned a lot throughout the afternoon. When I went to bed, I took 25 mg. Visteral, prescribed by my dr. for insomnia. I try not to take it every night, it's usually after about 4-5 nights of not being able to sleep. I went to sleep last night, but woke up 3 hours later and couldn't go back to sleep even though I felt sleepy.

I started Methadone treatment two years ago and currently & 120mg daily (liquid I divide am/pm @ 60mg). I’ve also been taking Wellbutrin 75mg bid. Most antidepressants prescribed these days are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors but there are some atypicals like Wellbutrin that could be appropriate for fatigue. I have experience with both Wellbutrin and Provigil but our neurologies in response to these drugs vary among individual......... For energy per se you would need either caffeine, Wellbutrin, amphetamine, or Provigal: these are all indicated for such and other suggestions are anecdotal.

advil is a minor anti inflammatory I have never heard of it prescribed for this before but it could help a little I suppose more widely prescribed for GM are some of the big anti inflammatories - particularly prednisone or methotrexate I did take Naproxen for some time, (months at a pretty high dose - it really attacks your stomach lining though so I went off), which I guess is a step up from advil, and is a non steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID), can't say if it helped with the inflamma

I take Wellbutrin and I know they said it would take from 4 to 6 weeks for me to notice that it was taking affect. So maybe try to stick with it for at least a month or so and see if it helps. If not then go back to Paxil. I hope it does help you though! I know it has helped me with depression. Take care!

I am sure it is the treatment drugs and not the wellbutrin. I never had any trouble with wellbutrin. The Zofran helps a great deal. I have also found that I just cannot eat many foods that I used to enjoy. They either do not taste good anymore or they make me feel nauseated. I blame that on the Hep C meds, not wellbutrin.
