can i take advil with paxil

I would be careful taking Advil PM as it has an antihistamine in it and might make RLS worse. I mistakenly took Nyquil with an antihistamine in it and had the shakes real bad. So be cautious..

i feel like i need my fluoxetine again but im scared of the effects it will have on my baby but its going to get worse as it did in my previous 2 pregnancys which i got through with difficulty with no medication. is there anything i can take, any advice would be of help, thanks.

I agree with Pooh, take Tylenol. I think most hepatologists recommend it for liver patients, up to 2000 mg per day. NSAIDs (including Advil, Motrin, aspirin, pretty much every OTC pain-killer other than Tylenol) are contraindicated if you have liver disease.

My therapist diagnosed me with coping disorder with acute anxiety and a touch of depression. She recommended Ativan for me, though she's not an MD, she wanted me to talk to my doctor. I talked to my doctor and she disagreed with putting me on Ativan. She recommended Lexapro. I went to the pharmacy and my insurance wound up not covering it (it was a hundred and something dollars!). They contacted my doctor and she faxed over an authorization for a generic prescription for Paxil.

General health and also wanting to take as little dose of antidepressant as poss, if I can balance it out with other things. Saffron meant to help libido side effect and rhodiola help the sedation side effect and depression also. Vitamin d I've been deficient before and heard people with depression often are deficient in it. Been told recently can be bad for u if don't take with k2 but k2 meant to interfere with antidepressant absorption.

Knowing that Flu like symptoms were a side effect, I did get a Flu shot in August, prior to tx. Today, right now, I really feel like I am fighting off a cold or Flu. so with the doxy and the 3 advil, i would not want to take anything else. it is a weird/awkward procedure but it is not much worse than having a longer than usual exam/pap smear. you'll feel better if you are coherent and can understand what they are doing. they explain along the way and tell you what looks good/is normal as they go.

I'm trying to get off Paxil by cross tapering with Prozac to minimize withdrawal symptoms. Right now I'm on 10mg paxil. but I'm not sure how to proceed? My doctor said to take 20mg prozac along with 10 paxil for a month which I don't agree with. Thats because I think if prozac stays that long in my system I will also have trouble getting off of it. So my plan is: Week 1) 10mg paxil 10mg prozac. Week 2) 5mg paxil 20mg prozac. Week 3) 0mg paxil 20mg prozac. then stop.

How long will it take me to lose the weight I have gained from paxil? Anything I can do it help it along?

shell, I have to take the Rebif mornings or it interferes with my sleep. I also have to take the oxycodone/acetaminophen in the morning or I can't move. ess. I am thinking along the same line...that the acetaminophen is enough. I was fine yesterday. And yes, the less medication the happier I am!! Just hoping it doesn't backfire on me.. So yesterday at around noon I took one Advil and drank one beer. The Advil had 200 mg of ibuprofen. Later on I got cramps so at around four I took two midol extra strength. Each pill had 500 mg of acetominophen. Then I began getting a massive headache so at 6:45 I took one Tylenol extra strength tablet which also had 500 mg of acetominophen. Now I am worried because I took a little bit too much acetominophen And didn't wait long enough.

As some of you know I suffer from severe health anxiety...I started going through a particularly bad time last fall...I am constantly afraid of headaches,fevers,muscle aches etc..as a result of this I started taking advil constantly and I am up to about 10 to 12 liquigels a day..If I don't take them my anxiety goes through the roof and I start to imagine headaches,pain etc...this can't be good for me..and I don't know how to stop...

Danie i agree with you!! I don't like Tylenol. It doesn't work for me at all. Advil does the job.

ativan is harder to get off of and your body will need more as you take it , its a short term med, klonopin is a long term med , you can take it when you need it, everyday or now and than i have had both ativan i take once every 6 months , but klonopin i can take when i need it and not worry about my body wanting more . i would think about it , taper off and than take one if you need it . talk to your dr about the two.

advil is a minor anti inflammatory I have never heard of it prescribed for this before but it could help a little I suppose more widely prescribed for GM are some of the big anti inflammatories - particularly prednisone or methotrexate I did take Naproxen for some time, (months at a pretty high dose - it really attacks your stomach lining though so I went off), which I guess is a step up from advil, and is a non steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID), can't say if it helped with the inflamma

I just dont wanna mess up and not know it! I get drug tested everyweek so I dont wanna take something I shouldnt. I also started taking wellbutrin, i noticed after around day 45 i was over the "clean and sober bliss" and started to feel down and didnt wanna get in bed, ate soo much. Anyways I really need something for my back let me know what you think.
