can i take advil with maxalt

I would be careful taking Advil PM as it has an antihistamine in it and might make RLS worse. I mistakenly took Nyquil with an antihistamine in it and had the shakes real bad. So be cautious..

I seem to be getting these migraines every few days. I can not exersice, it will increase my neck pain to the point where I can not handle it. Even a simple walk will increase the involuntary head jerking/tic I have developed with this injury. I wish I could exercise, I'm a runner and I run 36 miles a week. I also race in a few triathlons here and there when I have the time.

My neuro switched me to Imitrex and since then life has been so much better. I do have to watch for rebound headaches but I can always fix them with Advil or Naproxen.

A neurologist started me on a 6-day prednisone pack and Maxalt 6 days ago. The Maxalt helps mostly, but I need to take it daily, sometimes twice a day to get relief, which is too much for this drug. 2. Do I have severe sinus headaches with totally normal-looking sinuses? Out of the prednisone, Maxalt, Advil, and Mucinex D, the Mucinex gives me the best relief from my headaches (usually almost all day). 3. Do I have rebound headaches?

Hey. I have never had problems with my sleeping so i really doubt that it is that. I have tried altering my diet taking out things and changing it around. I saw the doctor today and he is sending me for bloodwork as well as an ECG.

I agree with Pooh, take Tylenol. I think most hepatologists recommend it for liver patients, up to 2000 mg per day. NSAIDs (including Advil, Motrin, aspirin, pretty much every OTC pain-killer other than Tylenol) are contraindicated if you have liver disease.

it works really fast i just cant spray anything up my nose! haha one time was all i could handle. i take maxalt. for me it works the fastest. your dr. will probably give you several diff. kinds of samples and have you see which works best on you.

s only ever been in the back of my head and when it gets bad like if i dont take some type of tylenol or Advil right away it gets bad. I can always hear my heartbeat throbing in my head if i look down there's more pressure and hurts extremely bad I was in the hospital so much from 17-20 they gave me a cat scan i believe it was i guess it came out fine .

Knowing that Flu like symptoms were a side effect, I did get a Flu shot in August, prior to tx. Today, right now, I really feel like I am fighting off a cold or Flu. Can I take something like Nyquil but without alcohol??? Thanks. Just took the day off sick yesterday, and don't want to be out tomorrow.

so with the doxy and the 3 advil, i would not want to take anything else. it is a weird/awkward procedure but it is not much worse than having a longer than usual exam/pap smear. you'll feel better if you are coherent and can understand what they are doing. they explain along the way and tell you what looks good/is normal as they go.

U can also take advil up to 28weeks....

ve been told that flushing is a common reaction to stress. I can get it even with welcome stress (talking on the phone with a friend for example).

I'm 21 female, I noticed this happening a few months back maybe in July or August, it was just a slight headache no big deal went away after a nap or an Advil. Now I'm starting to get them more frequent they're throbbing and I can hardly see straight nor stand. I also have nausea and dizziness and shortness of breathe. I hope this isn't a brain tumor. Anyone experience something similar?

you might see if they can put you on a medication in case you have a headache while on the topamax.

Every morning I wake up with a severe headache/migraine/sinus headache. I'm not sure if I'm making them worse by taking aspirin or Maxalt to relieve the headaches. I wake up and my head is pounding, so I walk into the kitchen and grab the ice pack. I will try and abort the headache with the ice pack before resorting to aspirin or ibuprofen. If the ice pack does not work with in 20-30 minutes, I will take either aspirin or ibuprofen.

Still no relief! Finally, I took my Maxalt and low and behold the pain started to ease. I fell asleep thinking "Yes! Finally, the pain will be gone". I woke up from my nap and I'll be damned if my neck isn't just as stiff as before and my head is pounding. WTF! Is this a reaction to the Celexa?? How much longer will it take before the side effects go away?

shell, I have to take the Rebif mornings or it interferes with my sleep. I also have to take the oxycodone/acetaminophen in the morning or I can't move. ess. I am thinking along the same line...that the acetaminophen is enough. I was fine yesterday. And yes, the less medication the happier I am!! Just hoping it doesn't backfire on me.. I used to have to take 300mg of topomax for migraines twice a day plus 10mg of maxalt on top of it to help. I was also on some low doses of vicodin (sp?) for pain due to fractures in my legs and hips. Since I found out about the pregnancy I have stopped taking everything. I don't like taking medication anyway if I don't really need it. My fractures I have learned to deal with so I'm not too bothered by that but my migraines are worse than I've ever had them.

As some of you know I suffer from severe health anxiety...I started going through a particularly bad time last fall...I am constantly afraid of headaches,fevers,muscle aches etc..as a result of this I started taking advil constantly and I am up to about 10 to 12 liquigels a day..If I don't take them my anxiety goes through the roof and I start to imagine headaches,pain etc...this can't be good for me..and I don't know how to stop...

Danie i agree with you!! I don't like Tylenol. It doesn't work for me at all. Advil does the job.

I was recently diagnosed with migraine after driving on a cloudy day without sunglasses for an hour and a half that resulted in a terrific headache, sensitivity to light and spotlights blocking my vision. The following day I could not stand up and felt like I had been given novacaine (sp) from a dentist--the left side of my tongue and upper palate were numb. I was given Benadryl, Reglan and Toradol which made me feel terrible by an ER doctor.
