My plan is to switch to a med I can take and slowly cut the pills in half and taper off. You can’t cut the concerta since it’s extends release. Please anyone give me an idea on what I should do to get off this.

So for the last three days, I have kept my concerta next to my bed and have taken the dose as soon as I openned my eyes in the morning (but no earlier than 7:00). But it just doesn't work and I even fall back asleep. So, I think something else must be going wrong because I could never fall asleep during the day after taking Concerta, no matter how tired I got or how sleepy I felt. I want to go to a doctor to ask for some tests but I want to know which ones.

I have been an insomniac since my childhood. My mother and I can remember the nights I would lie awake in the living room and watching infomercials. I would not fall asleep until the morning. Hi folks, I took Concerta for 2 weeks and gave it up because of GI issues and a lot of facial twitching in addition to still having a lot of fatigue. I stopped taking it almost a week ago but I still have a remaining eye twitch that is driving me nuts. Now I'm thinking the current twitch is likely unrelated to Concerta and may be MS related. If so, it is a new symptom for me and like most MS symptoms, I need relief. Has anyone had any success getting rid of the twitches?

I take iron and eat as well as I can but really have no appetite. Down 20 pounds in 10 weeks. I was over weight so this isn't a big problem yet.

I don't know what concerta is hon. But I wish you and your family well. I would try to get maybe a peer of his(an uncle maybe or something?), to try to get him to go to a doc and be checked out. Cause parents have a hard time listening to they're kids sometimes, ya know? So if he has a best friend or close relative I'd speak to them about it. Thats just one womans opionion. My prescription ran out and I used a concerta my concern is if I have a urine test or hair follicle test will the methylphenidate in the concerta show up? Concerta is not my prescribed medicine.

Yes, my pill can be split in half. I don't have a pill spliter, so I am wondering if I can use a knife to cut it. I already cut it actually and it split right in half. My pill has a "divit" like a divider already so it cut very easily.

My son took Concerta for several years and I noticed a change in his attitude. He would become so aggresive that he would actually hit myself. I had one panic attack that scared me half to death because i thought i was dying. I spend the next two days thinking i was going to die of a heart attack. After two days of being paranoid i went to the emergency room and told the doctor what had happened. I was fine and sent home later that day. The constant worry for those two days had sent me into a state of depersonalization/derealization. Now it seems most of my anxiety is cause by the constant feeling unreal.

s history there is high risk for substance abuse and Concerta is similar in structure to cocaine. I do not want to give her meds if this is all hormonally related. She sees a counselor and the counselor does not see any behavior in her history that suggests either disorder. I have noticed a new symptom within the past three evenings as well. She has been humming, talking nonstop. Her mouth has been going all the time. I can tell her to stop and she is right back at doing it again.

Isn't Opana Time Released? I know you're the doctor, but I don't think you should inform people to cut their medications in half, ESPECIALLY if they're time released as this could cause a rapid release of all the medication in turn making her more sick, or am I wrong? I wanted to know if I can cut the pills in half. Would taking 250mg. be as effective? All the symptoms of my uti are gone. I was supposed to take the pills for 7 days and I stopped after 4 because of side effects.
