avalide

Avatar f tn Is this the proper treatment?? He gave me samples of 150 mg tablets and said I could cut them in half and just take a half a pill once a day. What do you think about that?
Avatar n tn Or would it be safer to cut the pill in half and if so, for how long? Also, is there a rebound effect when you first eliminate medications?
Avatar f tn Yes its ok to cut it in half. It should have a little place on the pill where to cut it. If you want to be absolutely sure you can always ask your pharmacist.
Avatar f tn Yes, my pill can be split in half. I don't have a pill spliter, so I am wondering if I can use a knife to cut it. I already cut it actually and it split right in half. My pill has a "divit" like a divider already so it cut very easily.
7510956 tn?1411671417 That is crazy!!!! Cut it in half and everybody fails treatment. Sound like more than crazy. Never heard of that before. That's just plan stupid.
786158 tn?1236397775 S STARTED TO INCREASE WHEN I STARTED TAKING THE PROTONIX AND AVAPRO. I CAN SEE HOW THESE TWO CAN BE CONNECTED. THERE ARE NOT MANY DOCTORS OUT THERE THAT ARE CONCERNED ABOUT PVC'S. SOMEONE CAN TELL ME UNTIL THEY ARE BLUE IN THE FACE THAT THE PVC'S ARE HARMLESS BUT I STILL WORRY LIKE CRAZY!!!!
Avatar n tn I wanted to know if I can cut the pills in half. Would taking 250mg. be as effective? All the symptoms of my uti are gone. I was supposed to take the pills for 7 days and I stopped after 4 because of side effects.
1059594 tn?1261323966 Isn't Opana Time Released? I know you're the doctor, but I don't think you should inform people to cut their medications in half, ESPECIALLY if they're time released as this could cause a rapid release of all the medication in turn making her more sick, or am I wrong? Avatar f tn Metoprolol 25 mg. Does it make a difference in what I'm taking, wether I can cut in half or not? The PA knows what I am taking and he told me just to cut it.

Avatar n tn 2cm, when I was prescribed to go onto blood pressure medication and lipids medications to help reduce the pressure in the artery. Three months ago, I had further scans (echocardiograph) to be told that the aneurism had shrunk back to 4.8cm. Surely, as the aneurism really couldn't "shrink" on its own due to tissue damage, one of the tests taken 11 months apart must be wrong. Both tests were conducted by the same technician in the same Cardiac Centre.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if Harvoni tablets can be cut in half or crushed to take easier, mixed with jello or yogurt to insure that it is absorbed. My digestive system is fast. I can not find anything in the literature that says you can or can not break in half.
Avatar f tn If the pills have a break line in the middle, they can be cut in half. Remember that if you take only half the prescribed dose, the effect on your bp will also be lessened. In my opinion, 69 is not such a low heart rate that it requires medication change. Anyway, it is best to contact the doctor that prescribed the medication to discuss your plans.
Avatar n tn But I have open cut in my mouth, is it not possible for virus to get into my body through the open cut?
Avatar m tn m on BP medication (avapro 150mg). My BP is usually in check running around 118/70. No family history of heart disease (except Dad passed away from cardiomyapthy, was determined to be a non-genetic virus that attacked his heart). I'm 30 years old, 5'11 195 lbs. I try to eat pretty healthy, lots of fruits and veggies. Exercise a few times a week. I've had the following tests done.
Avatar m tn I'm 19 and I've had HS (never talked to my doctor about it, but I assume open/recurring abscesses in your armpits is not normal and counts as HS) for about 3 years now. I had a stomach bug a week and a half ago and barely ate a thing for a few days. When I did eat it was fruit or chicken broth/vegetables. The HS instantly cleared up for several days after that. It was almost completely healed. Now that I'm eating my normal diet, it's back with a vengeance.
Avatar f tn Considering Gilead has almost approved TAF. Can we cut the TDF tablet in half? Just wanted to ask some of the knowledgable guys.
Avatar f tn But whenever my penis is erect there are clearly cracked lines on my penis tip and it can also become very dry. There seems to be little white dots that are sometimes hard to see which are just underneath the penis tip. The cracked lines are only really noticeable when the penis is erect or straight after ejaculation. I went to a doctor and after they briefly examined me they said it basically couldn't be herpes or anything serious.
2080475 tn?1332126191 Wow, a coma, not good! I am very glad you have two weeks worth of meds left. I would also try to taper down as much as I could from what you have left. If you have the strips, cut, cut, cut! If you have pills, cut, cut, cut! I know how hard it is, I've been on them for like 690 days and wish I would have NEVER went the sub route. And yes, these addicted brains are VERY cunning and baffling, that's why aftercare is such a must. Do you attend any meetings, counseling, etc?

Avatar m tn You might also discuss with your psychiatrist splitting the dose in two, taking half in the morning and half in the evening to see if that evens you out.
907968 tn?1292622204 I did the same thing back in February, getting nervous about my cholesterol blood tests. Things came out great back then with the exception that my overall cholesterol number was low, 106 mg/dl from 130 mg/dl three months earlier. Monday (5-17-10) I see my PCP to go over these numbers as well as to discuss another newly diagnosed ear problem for the first time (superior canal dehiscence). Currently I take a 40mg Simvastatin every night.
