I am unsure about premature aging, although Hypothyroid does cause a dry
sometimes scaly skin that might resemble aged skin, the acne is usually caused by some hormone issues, I have heard of other Hypothyroid sufferers complain of problems with acne. I bought tersaseptic antibacterial cleanser for my acne and my dermatologist said it's one of the best cleansers out there but I'm reading about it and it looks like it can cause cancer and it's bad for you. I've got really severe acne and I'm now taking accutane.
If this cleanser is so bad why did my dermatologist recommend me to use it. I also got a lot of skin irritation and redness could this be a bad sign from the cleanser?
It does make skin more sensitive to sun. How sensitive probably depends on how well it's doing what it's supposed to do, which is cause part of your skin protection to peel off so you have less acne. It's a tradeoff. If you believe this tradeoff is worth it, then use sunscreen. How this will affect Vitamin D absorption I don't know, you might want to find out if you need to supplement with it.
During my time on Meds and now that I am pregnant my skin is terrible! particularily around my chin area. My docs said theres not much you can do. I use good skincare and good makeup and nothing works. I think its just a small price to pay! I just cover it up if I need too... on the upside my hairs better than ever!

Black spots associated with acne, may be due to a postinflammatory skin reaction secondary to the acne. Acne may cause scarring and darkening of the affected areas. This may be readily managed using vitamin E creams and bleaching creams given that the acne has resolved and there are no breaks on the skin. Does this apply to what you have?

If it is an acne spot you will spread the bacteria under the skin leading to more spots. You can also cause secondary infection making diagnosis harder.

It's important to remember that not all people are going to fall into the average weight- if you are eating a healthy diet (which your doctor can give you resources to confirm), and you don't have other health concerns, don't stress about the scale number.
They say it can also be menapause, but there are young girls who have started acne treatment who also have developed sticky skin. There are also reports from people on different cancer treatment who also have developed Acquired Cutaneous adherence syndrome known as sticky skin. Maybe do some research in these areas. Your meds may b causing it too. But im just as curious so I am investigating any possible case to then find the root then treat or supplement accordingly.
