I've been on bystolic for about a month and a half. I've had some dizziness and a little fatigue. No problems sleeping or anything like that, though. I was previously on metoprolol and had awful nightmares, way worse dizziness and light headedness, heavy leg sensations, etc. Bystolic has been way better for me. Best of luck to you!
My Cadiologist Recently prescribed Bystolic 5 Mg tablets I per day . I have since begun having dizzy spells Can they be a side effect from the Bystolic?
I have tried atenolol, but makes me sooooo tired, I am also tired on Bystolic not as much. Could the Bystolic be causing circulatory problems? No edema to feet or ankles but, some to medial knees. Thank you.

It made me nauseas in 5 hours after first pill. At 14 hours after first pill the diarrhea started. Doctor insisted I stay on it. At 3 days I was so tired I didnot want to move, but had to, I had Diarrhea & Nauseasness. Constantly going to the bathroom for one reason or the other. Stopped after 1 week against my doctors orders. Nausea and tiredness is gone. I still have Diarrhea and it's been 15 months. Test say it is "C Difficult" Bacteria.
If you have benign palpitations I would stay away. I was switched to bystolic, which has worked well for me where toprol and atenolol didn't.

I'm guessing that my doctor thinks my heart palpitations are not considered an irregular heartbeat? I'll ask him but I found this a little scary.
My main question is how low can your heart rate get and still be safe? I'm afraid to take a beta block for my hypertension because my hr at night gets as low as 55 without them. I'm 24 years old I have hypertension, I'm active/normal weight I also have LVH from my hypertension. Would it be safe for me to take this beta blocker bystolic My doctor has prescribed me? He said it wouldn't lower it much but from the posts I've seen they do. Thoughts?
My doctor recently switched me to Bystolic - and I was given "samples" for a month but no instruction sheet or counter-indications as far as drug interaction. Would there be any problem with the above that I am taking and this drug? Also, I just lost (and want to continue to lose weight) 16 pounds on a diet program and don't want to regain that weight! s office were done by a human. During my visit with my Doctor, he changed my BP medicine from 50MG of Atenolol to 5MG of Bystolic. Since a few days after the change, I often feel very flushed in the face, forgetful, confusion, seem to lose my train of thought more frequently, change in bowel movement.......With all that said, I guess my major question is are these some of the side effects when taking Bystolic? Should I go back to my Doctor and request he put me back on Atenolol?
Recently my doc placed me on the Beta Blocker Bystolic. Week one was 5mg. Week 2 was 10mg and week three was the final ramped up dose of 20mg. I was fine on the 5 and 10 mg tablets but felt like crap in the morning after taking the 20mg tablet. The doc allowed me to cut the 20mg tablet in half until our next apt at which time he prescribed Carvedilol 25 mg twice a day. Anyone have any insight as to why he might have done that?
Hey guys, whenever I read about acebutolol in treating pvcs and bystolic, I hear mainly positive things.
Is anyone on here on these blockers !!, if so whats your experience. I aked my cardio Dr. about Acebutolol, he said its something he wouldnt usualy prescribe for pvcs because it doesn't slow down the heart and the common belief is a slower heart induced by a beta blocker is supposed to reduce pvcs,, but people claim that this stuff works.
I am a 63 female taking 10 mg Bystolic once in the evening. I have been taking it for a year now and lately have been feeling light headed and slightly dizzy in the mornings when I wake up and then throughout the day. Is this a side effect of this drug? It was prescribed mainly for the rapid heart beats.
I started taking Bystolic and the headaches are reduced to 2-3 times a month. I am fairly certain, however, that the Bystolic has caused joint and muscle pain especially in my knees. Is anyone else taking Bystolic experiencing this same side effect?
My Doctor game me a months worth of Bystolic, which is a beta blocker. My resting heart beat is @ 48-52 and up moving around it is @ 60. I work out two- three times a week, lifting and cardio. I am a very strong 55 yr old, in really good shape. A muscular 230 lbs.
My worry is my heart beat is too slow for Bystolic. One of their warnings is not to take it if you have a slow heart beat, is mine too slow?
What could be causing this? Could it be the bystolic? My former doc put me on bystolic because it is not suppose to caused ED issues. Could it be psychological reasons i'm having ED? A combination of both psychological reasons and the Bystolic?
It is hard for me to imagine that my ED would be due to low testosterone or some physiological cause. I am in excellent shape and after all I am young (27).

My cardiologist prescribed Bystolic 5 mg., but on their web site, they caution people with "irregular heartbeats" not to take it. I called the 800 number they listed, but they couldn't tell me why. I was put on 2.5mg am and 5mgpm bystolic. I used to walk 4 miles and play good golf. I have put on weight i have no engegy to walk nor desire .My golf is now poor tired after 12 holes. any "effort tires me. Am 81 and always felt much younger. no longer. I wonder if less would make a difference. I couldn,t even finish a stress test.
