Can clenbuterol be taken at the same time as cytomel (t3), or does it have to rotated. Each drug rotated on a two week on, two week off cycle?
And just to reiterate, both T3 and clenbuterol WILL NOT affect my immune system to where oral antibody tests cannot detect HIV antibodies given the appropriate window period allotted time, right?
Would taking 60mcg T3 and clenbuterol daily for weight loss affect the HIV testing window? I recently did an oral oraquick test today which would put me at the 6wk and 8wk period after two sexual encounters. I started taking the T3 about 3 days ago and will likely take it for the next two months, not sure when I will start the clenbuterol though.
I have a slightly underperforming thyroid and was put on synthroid which made me nauseous, even when the dosage was lowered. So I have now been put on 25mcg of cytomel and am having real trouble falling asleep. My doctor told me to half the dosage but I still cannot sleep and am now taking sleeping pills as well. I usually take the cytomel in the morning and I read somewhere that it can help to take it at night, which doesn't make sense to me.
I am currently on Synthroid 125 and Cytomel 5 to treat my hypo. I have been on thie Synthroid for over 15years. I have been on the Cytomel for about 10 years. I feel like the Cytomel is a waste of money. I was thinking about gradually dropping it to see if I notice any changes. I feel that 5 mg is hardly enough to notice a difference. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to stabilize or to notice the change.
In the USA at least, all hormones including thyroid hormone(s) T4 (Synthroid) and T3 (Cytomel) and Any natural desiccated thyroid med like Armour require doctor Prescription.
To dose thyroid you absolutely need to be tested for at a minimum Free T4 and Free T3 tests. Typically people need to be at least in the middle of the reference range for BOTH thyroid hormones if not a bit higher int he range.
Free T3 levels must be checked regularly, along with TSH and Free T4, when taking cytomel. Cytomel is usually not recommended unless you have a conversion problem or for some other reason, your Free T3 is out of line. In addition, you should constantly be aware of any symptoms that might indicate that you are taking too much.
Oldie - I, too, have heard that cytomel should not be used by persons with heart issues.
In answer to your question regarding T3 meds, while there are sites online that say they sell cytomel without a prescription, I would never buy from them, because I have no idea what they are really selling...
There are also some glandular products that are sold over the counter, but they are supposed to have the actual hormone content removed and are simply ground up tissue.
In short, T3 products sold in the U.S require a prescription.
Dx Central Hypothroidism and Hashimoto Taking synthroid 125 Endo added cytomel 10mcg due to low ft3 and persistent hypo symptoms.Feeling terrible and even worse with added titre (cytomel) 10mcg. Rang Endo and told me to stop with cytomel. Is that possible that such a low dose could make me feel awful...double vison, sense of nausea, some palpitations...to add to my already hypo symptoms...plus ft3 and ft4 have not risen even a tiny bit. Dr first put me on Synthroid 2 months ago, and then added cytomel 3 weeks ago. I FEEL GREAT!!!!!!! but........ sore, sensitive and itchy nipples on both breasts slightly pinker on the outside not much. I have looked all over the web, cannot find anything but Pagets. Called pharmacy, they said not usual side effect to medicine. Does anyone else have this?? I am worried and I do not want to go off the cytomel, it has helped me tremendously.
Seems like your doses were really high--especially the Cytomel, which still seems a concern. I would research Cytomel and get a second opinion from an endochronologist. Ridha Arem, M.D. explains the correct usage of giving Synthroid with Cytomel. I've found the best way to combat (or try to control anyway) this immune system disease is a very sound diet: fruit, vegetables, whole grains, fish, flax seed, etc. Dr. Arem talks about that in his book.
Perhaps I got it wrong. But my daughter's on the cytomel and the question remains the same.
I am taking 2.5 mcg cytomel and 8 drops of Lugols solution for treatment of thyroid nodules. I have more energy, sleep better, but am having regular frontal headaches and my eye ache and itch. It's hard to know if I am taking
too much or too little, since the symptoms can be the same! Any suggestions?
In the last year I went to the endo, who given how I was feeling gave me 1.12 of synthroid and the smallest dose of cytomel, and I am on seasonique. I had only been through one pack of the seasonique at this time with no bleeding/spotting. Once I started the cytomel, the spotting started again. The endo told me I should try a half dose of the cytomel. That made no difference. Now she told me to quit the cytomel and see if that helps. Now I am getting a light period.....
