Avatar f tn You are correct in that statement about it saying made in Canada. It leaves us here in a tough situation. For example, something can be made in China, but if a component of it (doesn't necessarily have to be the majority of it), or the packing (think Cereal) was made here, they can label it Made In Canada. Pretty wrong isn't it. It makes me so mad. There is legislation out there to enforce more accurate labeling, but so far our Congress hasn't done a darn thing about it.
Avatar m tn I have been experiencing a little depression over this(and lack of activity),and want to make this transition to drug-free as simple as possible.I live in northern Canada, and the winter has been severe,so getting out for exercise has been difficult, but I do get out every day for walks, and have use of a swimming pool.....I have found that exercise helps, but it`s not easy this time of year.My current prescription is for .5mg,and I have been trying to hold my use to 2.5-3mg,spread out over the day.
Avatar m tn The pain could have something to do with it but it's usually anxiety that causes the shaking so coming off can have the same effect as what you went on them for. My shaking is usually first thing in the morning but I'm still on 2 mg a day. Was on 4 for quite some time. I've become tolerant to it now so it doesn't work so slowly decreasing the amounts so I don't get withdrawal.
Avatar n tn I dont think we have a Walgreens, in my city I know we dont. But thank you for the information!
Avatar f tn I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that in Canada, you can buy weak formulations with codeine over the counter. Codeine is not the same as the narcotic ingredient in Vicodin. 8 mg of codeine is a rather weak dose, anyway.
Avatar f tn Hi. I'm in Canada and we have only 1 approved NDT option: Erfa's Thyroid. I'd like to try NP Throid but it's only available in the states. What kind of hoops do I need to jump thru to buy it in the US? (By that I mean not spending a fortune!). Thanks!
414333 tn?1226191493 s here in Edmonton Alberta Canada seem to concur with him, I am almost down to 1mg of Ativan daily thank god but it is not easy....... Shaking, Dizziness, Minor Tinnitus, Blue dots in vision, horrible obsessive thoughts, numbness, fidgity, mood swings..... I know I can do this and I will... God is with me and will guide and I have all of you.... And I fulheartedly appreciate that.... How is your taper going? Lol Healing vibes to you as well my friend thanks....
Avatar m tn Remember, SSRIs like Zoloft can take a good couple of weeks before you start to feel the benefit of them. As far as the Ativan, in my opinion, many doctors will prescribe a benzo like this especially when starting a med like Zoloft. You are not taking that much, but just talk with your doctor about all you medication concerns; good communication between the paitient and the provider is a must in my opinion.
Avatar f tn It is not an ideal situation to have a toddler and baby share a room but we will make it work! Hopefully we will be in a position to buy a bigger house once i get back to work after new baby is born but we will see.
1493518 tn?1291783682 Hi all, I see a couple of you have mentioned fetal dopplers recently. I had no idea you could buy these for home use! What's your experience been like? Do you recommend them? If so, what brand? I'm particularily interested in hearing from those of you who have bought one in Canada. (Many vendors, including Amazon.com, do not ship electronics to Canadian addresses.) Thanks!
Avatar f tn Also, when a treatment gets approved in the States, it takes some time for it to be approved in Canada as we are behind the U.S.
Avatar f tn Does anyone have any names of docs in Canada who deal with AD. We were vacationing in Australia, both got bit by jellyfish. I had AD for 3 months and it went away. He still has it after 2 years. He was healthy, young 35 yr old with no health issues. It's crazy, I could make a movie out of our experience. Any help is appreciated.
219241 tn?1413537765 And yes, If I could get those US manufactured pharmaceuticals cheaper by getting them from Mexico or Canada (who buy them from US companies at a reduced rate), I would be doing it. Americans get stuck with all the R&D costs, and foreign countries get discounted prices. Yeah For political correctness.
Avatar m tn Still waiting on the Echo which is supposed to be in JULY this time. He put me on Atenolol 25mg a day, plus Ativan for my extreme anxiety over this, plus Remeron which is the only anti-depressant/anti-anxiety I can handle based on previous experiences with various meds. There is no doubt a lot of of my PVCs are anxiety related. Sometimes just thinking about them starts them.
Avatar f tn Yet reading this news story, farmers can march down to their local feed store and buy antibiotics for their livestock without a prescription, in Canada but not sure if same in US! Unbelievable, but perhaps coming to an end.
1310633 tn?1430224091 The same drug manufactured in the same factory is sold for half the price in Canada, and even less in 3rd-world countries. The FDA’s complacency with Big Pharmaceuticals is appalling. We need significant regulations for pharmaceuticals and Obama’s healthcare plan does not address this nearly enough.
Avatar f tn If it were only that simple, In Canada we are given a psychiatrist and you do not have the option of changing. I have no idea what medication is causing what and 3 Dr's that just put their hands up in the air and so what do you want us to do about it. I'm out there on my own. Depression is getting to be a problem because of no support.
Avatar m tn The conditions are not the best right now and given your treatment the degree of difficulty is higher. Do they have programs in Canada in which you can get things like resume' review, networking guidance, career re-training, meet and greet events, job fairs and stuff like that? With the weight you are under I'd imagine that physical and emotional efficiency is a great benefit. There's probably help out there....
Avatar m tn Is there a safe and effective tranquilizer to take for flight anxiety? I tried the generic brand of xanax (alprazelam) a few years ago and it had absolutely zero effect. Maybe I just didn't take enough but the prescription is over 5 years old now and I would be afraid to experiment. Is valium a better options?
