My doctor has decided that Depression is the cause of my anxiety, and has upped my bupropion to 450 mg a day until the tremors and shaking started, then he lowered me back down to 300. Now I have feel angry or like crying all the time. An explotion can come at anytime, but because the depression was better at 450 mg a day he wants to combine atenolol with it to fight the side effects. I don't like the side effects of either one of these drugs.

I'm currently on 300 bupropion/100 topamax for migraines. I don't like the bupropion as much as Zoloft but had to stop it bc I ate so much on the Zoloft. Is there anything someone could recommend to make me loose weight along with taking Zoloft?

I started taking only one 150 mg of bupropion sr this is my 5 day. Can I stop taking the amitriptiline with no withdrawls after only 5 days of Bupropion? or has it not been long enough. I hoping that I can stop the amitriptiline by taking the bupropion sr in place of the amitriptiline.

My husband has dementia. He takes the Bupropion in the morning along with his Aricept and Exforge (for blood pressure). He gets drowsy right after taking his pills and I think it may be the Bupropion HSL SR causing this. I am on 100 mg of bupropion and was feeling a little anxious. Before taking bupropion, when I felt a little anxious my roommate would give me one of his ativan's, but a full 0.5 would make me sleepy…so I cut it down to 0.25 which worked nicely. It was under control with bupropion and lamictal but I still did not feel like the depression was lifted. doc suggested going off of bupropion and switch to paxil. Bupropion is the generic name for Wellbutrin. Years ago it had some success and I even know a few who quit using it. I would imagine, because it is also an antidepressant it might cause dizziness. I've been on Bupropion for 6 years. I went from 200mgs up to 400. My NPP said it would have the least sexual problems. Well that's not really true. I told her I can't achieve an erection. But flaccid I can ejaculate. I seen my new NPP. She recommended taking Zoloft for my PTSD. Well everything went well, but now it takes me forever to ejaculate. I can masturbate at least 20 minutes and will finally ejaculate. Does anyone have a suggestion as to quicken my time to ejaculate?

It's possible that the opiates or earlier, the alcohol, was masking an anxiety reaction to the Med. How long have you been on the Bupropion & when did you start experiencing the anxiety? Discontinuing an SSRI & switching to W (if it doesn't work for you) might also cause this. (I had a friend that that happened to). Have you told your Dr. ?
