Avatar m tn It is possible that bupropion (Wellbutrin) may cause your symptoms of tremors and joint pain. Please contact your provider and pharmacist to report the adverse effects and have them confirm by conducting a complete medication review, including prescription, over-the-counter, and any dietary and herbal supplements. Some of the common side effects of bupropion are headaches (26%, compare to 23% of placebo), dry mouth (17%, compare to 7% of placebo), insomnia (11%, compare to 6% of placebo).
Avatar f tn Hi there...I take Wellbutrin XL (300 mg extended release bupropion) and no I didn't gain weight on it. I have been on differing doses for over 2 years. Also, no loss of sex drive if that is important to you which is a common side effect of most of the other medications used for anxiety.
Avatar n tn If I go back to the cytomel along with some sustained release T3, it will actually be slightly less T3 than I am on now, but it will be mostly immediate release rather than sustained release, if that makes sense. I seem to need way more of the sustained type than I did with the cytomel. I'm not sure why... Do you think combining a sustained release med with an immediate release med is a bad thing? Or does it matter?
Avatar m tn I am taking fluoxetine 40 mg and Bupropion 300 extended release. I started a new job about a month ago and have been going full steam ahead. I have had 4 days off and have woke up anxious the last three of them as well as feeling a little depressed. Doc seems to think I was keeping my mind very busy and now I have time to think I am crashing. Anyway it got me thinking about my meds. The Fluoxetine has put about 5 kilos on me.I really don't like this.
Avatar m tn I've been on bupropion xl 300mg for 7 years and it has truly changed my life. I used to have very severe Seasonal Affective Disorder and social anxiety, both of which have been all but cured with the medication. However, I have also struggled with ADD my entire life and now, finally, at 44, I have sought treatment for that as well. I was prescribed methylphenidate ER-LA 20mg. I am trying to determine the best strategy for taking these pills.
Avatar m tn I was prescribed Bupropion 100mg twice a day. The first couple weeks my wife and I both noticed a big improvement with my symptom of ADD. Than all of a sudden it stopped working. I told my doctor, he changed it to Bupropion 300mg XL. Its been a week and a half since its been changed and no improvement. What happened to make it quit working? Will it start if I give it some more time?
Avatar m tn Hello people, I just ordered my Cytomel (T3/Thryoid Meds) from Mexico, it's called Tryiotex and people in the net says it's a slow released meds.. the dosage are 75mcg for a pill.. how should i take them? what's sustained release means? will it be ok to take the dosage first thing in the a.m on an empty stomach? or should i split the dosage for 2 times a day? (remember - that's a slow/sustained release pills.. different from other brands out there..
Avatar m tn Wellbutrin, the brand name of bupropion, had the lowest overall rate of sexual dysfunction. It was associated with a rate of 22% of the overall population. The sustained release formulation fared almost as well with a rate of 25%. In contrast, the SSRIs (Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft and Celexa), venlafaxine (Effexor) and mirtazapine (Remeron) averaged about 40%. When subjects were removed who had other probable causes of sexual dysfunction, the results were even better.
Avatar m tn I am doing better at my prescribed dose but am getting more and more suspicious of all meds in general. For instance-time released bupropion ruined my life for a while but changing to immediate release bupropion did not have the negative side-effects. Also, using fluticasone (Flonase) more than a few days at a time exacerbates my depression/suicidality. Bottom line: be careful and take notes of how your body responds to meds.
Avatar m tn Also consumed 3 grams/day of omega 3 supplements and was on a relatively low carb diet during this period. Pretty sure the sustained release Niacin may be culprit but anyone familiar with anything else that would raise these three enzymes as noted above. I have stopped the Slo Niacin. What's a reasonable time to recheck blood after getting off the Niacin....a month? Also, note that BUN/Creatine just slightly high and ALP, Bilirubin, A/G,Albumin, etc liver markers were all normal.
950277 tn?1247274551 I'm on it. It helps me quite a lot with my depression; I get WAY more energy and it helps me not to dwell too much on depressing issues and actually get out and do stuff insead of just lying around staring at the ceiling. I do have trouble sleeping, which Wellbutrin (bupropion) often does with its somewhat "speedy" way of working. It makes some people more anxious as well.
Avatar m tn I recommend sleep hygiene and cognitive therepy before using any drugs for imsomnia 12.
Avatar f tn From a compounding pharmacy: "Cytomel is immediate release T3, and compounded T3 is a 12 hour sustained release T3, therefore you are getting a continuous dose of T3 over a 12 hour period, and not just a burst of T3 with the immediate release cytomel." Your SR T3 is releasing over a 12 hr period, so you have 12 hrs that you have none in your system. This has been found to be a problem with other members...
Avatar f tn Hi, I have many symptoms of hypothyroid but my thyroid levels are normal, so my physician prescribed low-dose (5mg) Cytomel in the hopes of alleviating my symptoms. Has anyone taken Cytomel (not the sustained-release form, just the regular instant-release form) for Wilson's Syndrome? If so, could you please share your story? Did Cytomel work? Did you try the sustained-released form of T3?
Avatar f tn Is anyone getting ringing in the ears from taking Generic Wellbutrin(Bupropion sr ) 150 mg. Here is my situation I have been on amitriptiline 25 mg 4 years then went up to 50 mg for 3 years. I started taking only one 150 mg of bupropion sr this is my 5 day. Can I stop taking the amitriptiline with no withdrawls after only 5 days of Bupropion? or has it not been long enough. I hoping that I can stop the amitriptiline by taking the bupropion sr in place of the amitriptiline.
Avatar f tn I am suffering from I believe depression I have problems sleeping this has recently started wierd thoughts and its very disturbing, I feel said and hopeless my doctor put me on Bupropion and I felt better the first day the next day I eel over active different? Have any one taken Bupropion and whats your reactions?
Avatar f tn My husband has been taking Bupropion HSL SR 150mg for a few months and it doesn't seem to be working as well as the Bupropion XL 150mg he was taking for a few years before he was switched because, the pharmacy said, they could not get the Bupropion XL 150mg at that time. My husband has dementia. He takes the Bupropion in the morning along with his Aricept and Exforge (for blood pressure). He gets drowsy right after taking his pills and I think it may be the Bupropion HSL SR causing this.
Avatar f tn It is sustained release. I have heard good things about this product. But I am worried that it is sustained-release and will affect my meds. Any ideas on what kind of iron to take. I find that they are very constipating. I don't need that to deal with. Thanks in advance!
Avatar f tn I'm currently on 300 bupropion, along with topamax 100 and still have had no weight losse. I just started the 300 bupropion after being on 150 last week and have already had crying spells but this was the week of my period so I was thinking I just could be "emotional". Before I was on Zoloft 25-150 bupropion but I ate to much on it, I'm hoping for weight loss but every antidepressant I take makes me eat what to do I do??

376186 tn?1219279505 I am wondering what the longest period in which you have had sustained PVC's or PAC's? And how often will you get sustained PVC's? If there are no symptoms, ie dizziness, how long would you wait before you went to the ER or would you even consider going? Have you talked this over w/your cardio or EP? Are you on medication that helps to suppress these and if so, what do you take and how much? Yesterday, I started having sus.
