Bupropion overdose effects

Common Questions and Answers about Bupropion overdose effects

Avatar f tn This particular drug is very stimulating for most people, which can potentially partially counter-act the narcotic effects of the methadone. Safety is a very complex issue; it doesn't just involve normal contraindications, it also involves how any medication affects a particular person as we respond differently to them. I'm assuming some professional has decided your Dad is depressed. Is he? Is he possibly over-medicated on the Methadone, which would cause depression?
Avatar n tn In 1996, the FDA approved sustained-release bupropion (bupropion SR) as an alternative to bupropion IR. Bupropion SR allowed for more convenient twice daily dosing and reduced seizure incidence rates to 0.1%.9,10 Published reports, however, warn that this long-acting formulation might prolong neurologic toxicity—including seizures in overdose.11 Seven years later, in 2003, the FDA approved extended-release bupropion (bupropion ER) as a new, once daily substitute for bupropion IR and SR.

607502 tn?1288251140 Some rare side effects include tinnitus, hypotension, mania, psychosis, anticholinergic effects, heart block, arrhythmias, lip and mouth ulcers, extrapyramidal symptoms, depression, and hepatic toxicity. As you might guess the mania and psychosis bits sort of ring alarm bells for me but I cant find much about it and the frequency of occurence. So has anyone used this drug before? Any thoughts or advice on it?
Avatar m tn Keep it short, went to my GP and said there's probably nothing wrong with my **** it's more to do with my brain, the amphetamine overdose is on my record (he wasn't judgy about it) and we both agreed it may be most likely dopamine, possibly serotonin related.
1345272 tn?1276403928 I haven't tried it yet because i havent heard good things so far and am a little worried. I'm also concerned about side effects from taking the two drugs together even though the doctor said it wouldn't be a problem. I am really tired and am dealing with extreme fatigue and anxiety. I am not using any other drugs. Any advice would be awesome. thanks!
Avatar n tn friend when he explained to me the dose-dependent effects of the SSRI and SNRI effects. No wonder I have no get-up-and-go. At 75 mg I am mostly gettin serontonin effects. No libido, not caring much about my appearance, and weight gain. I swore when I lost the 70 lbs that I would never gain it again, but thanks to Effexor I've been prven wrong. I am weaning myself off and have started Wellbutrin XL up to 300mg now. I agree with the withdrawal symptoms.
Avatar n tn I think a blood clot would mean that it would happen for longer and that it would cause visual effects and pain. Its strange that theres nothing visually wrong with my calf when it happens, it doesnt even feel as hot on the surface as it does on the inside! Very strange indeed. I havent been to see the doctor....maybe i should.
