Before taking bupropion, when I felt a little anxious my roommate would give me one of his ativan's, but a full 0.5 would make me sleepy…so I cut it down to 0.25 which worked nicely. Is anyone getting ringing in the ears from taking Generic Wellbutrin(Bupropion sr ) 150 mg. Here is my situation I have been on amitriptiline 25 mg 4 years then went up to 50 mg for 3 years. I started taking only one 150 mg of bupropion sr this is my 5 day. Can I stop taking the amitriptiline with no withdrawls after only 5 days of Bupropion? or has it not been long enough. I hoping that I can stop the amitriptiline by taking the bupropion sr in place of the amitriptiline.

I've been taking Bupropion(generic) for 3 months. I've tried 300mg-XL, 2x150mg-SR, and both times (though I'd take the morning dose at 6AM) had a hard time falling asleep at night, tossing around in bed an hour or so. Are you in the US? The maximum daily dosage here shouldn't exceed 400mg/day due to the risks of seizures and even then it should only be after a tolerance to the drug has been built up. Yes, Wellbutrin (bupropion) is a stimulant drug and is different from most other antidepressants such as SSRIs whereas they tend to take weeks to take effect, bupropion can usually be felt sooner and I myself felt it on the first dose too.

Hello, I had a thyroidectomy for Grave's Disease in 1993, and have been on a Levoxyl dose of 125 for awhile. For the last several months I've been fatigued/depressed, so I just started taking bupropion 10 days ago, the first 3 days at 150, then 300. I went in three days ago to Urgent Care because the previous night I couldn't sleep, felt itchy (no rash) all night, and I kept getting alarmingly intense muscle twitches all over.

She tells me that the lowest dose of XL is 75mg. She has put me on 37.5mg daily Venlafaxine. I tried this as 150mg dose, and it was not the same at all as Effexor. Is there any alternative. I'm on a low dose of wellbutrin, 200mg. I think you can go up to 400-450. And my abilify is just 2mg so it's the lowest dose. I'm just not sure which stimulant to try. I'm a bit overwhelmed.

For instance-time released bupropion ruined my life for a while but changing to immediate release bupropion did not have the negative side-effects. My blood pressure was better at ~ 120/90. I also take bupropion xl and was taking olanzipine. I have stopped the olanzapine, after long term use. Do a low morning dose of bupropion, to avoid additional insomnia, and the SSRI at night. 5-htp can be used as an OTC substitute for an SSRI, and L-tyrosine a sub for bupropion but L-tyr only boosts dopamine not norepinephrine, but still helps some. Melatonin can help with sleep. Omega fatty acids especially 3, sunflower lecithin, B-6, B-12, magnesium, vit D3, and Acetyl L-Carnitine with alpha lipoic acid all help with brain zaps and fog. I was having alot of GERD symptoms last week before she put me on the higher dose of prevacid.
