Avatar m tn well I am weening off or the bup. down to 75 will quit this week On 40 Paxil and 100 lamictal. Klonopin only when I need which I haven't in the last few days. so it looks like the paxil is kicking in, BUT I don"t like what I have read about Paxil.
Avatar m tn I am taking fluoxetine 40 mg and Bupropion 300 extended release. I started a new job about a month ago and have been going full steam ahead. I have had 4 days off and have woke up anxious the last three of them as well as feeling a little depressed. Doc seems to think I was keeping my mind very busy and now I have time to think I am crashing. Anyway it got me thinking about my meds. The Fluoxetine has put about 5 kilos on me.I really don't like this.
Avatar f tn I am no Doctor but ringing in your ears could mean overdose or drug interaction. Your liver can only process one drug at a time so the other stays in your system. Are you under a Doctor's supervision with this? You need to talk to a Doctor or Pharmacist ASAP.
Avatar f tn My husband has dementia. He takes the Bupropion in the morning along with his Aricept and Exforge (for blood pressure). He gets drowsy right after taking his pills and I think it may be the Bupropion HSL SR causing this. His neurologist told him the anti-depressant would probably make him "a little more fuzzy in his thinking". My husband is usually at his best in the morning as far as clear thinking goes.
5371853 tn?1367025372 At the age of 30, after a dramatic weight loss due to a vertical sleeve gastrectomy (50 lbs!) I started to experience SEVERE depression and anxiety for the first time in my lifea year ago. No history of emotional problems, nor is my life troubled. It's actually quite stable. I have spent this year exploring every medical possibility: B12, thyroid, neuro issues, heart issues, thiamine, and more. I broke down and started bupropion 8 weeks ago, I am up to 300XL and have been for 6 weeks.

Avatar m tn be careful with wellbutrin, it can have some nasty effects on the human body. I know because I took it and ended up in the psychiatric ward of the hospital.
Avatar f tn Although not statistically significant, the AUCs for bupropion and hydroxybupropion were more variable and tended to be greater (by 53% to 57%) in patients with alcoholic liver disease. The differences in half-life for bupropion and the other metabolites in the 2 patient groups were minimal.
Avatar m tn I was prescribed 300 mg xl of bupropion for anxiety that comes from a neurlogical problem in my eyes called Nystagmus. I think side effects of bupropion cause blurred vision and problems with one eye not moving in conjunction with the other which is horrible in addition to Nystagmus. I've lived with this because I was told bupropion is the least likeliest of pills to cause sexual disfunction. Is this true?
Avatar f tn m angry that he has put me on atenolol to counteract the side effects of bupropion. What is going to fight the side effects of the atenolol? I do not want to be a walking pharmacy.
Avatar f tn m currently on 300 bupropion, along with topamax 100 and still have had no weight losse. I just started the 300 bupropion after being on 150 last week and have already had crying spells but this was the week of my period so I was thinking I just could be "emotional". Before I was on Zoloft 25-150 bupropion but I ate to much on it, I'm hoping for weight loss but every antidepressant I take makes me eat what to do I do??
Cat And THC isnt typically found in urine unless you are smoking or intaking in some fashion marijuana and how it could be 66% of the content makes no sense either, its almost as if someone poured thc oil into a jar without a little bit of urine. Could you please clarify this question?
1325668 tn?1294444126 You might want to try posting in the depression forum. This med is a stimulating anti-depressant, not usually used as a primary tool for anxiety. I suppose there must be some research showing it helps people quit smoking, but it seems like taking a drug to quit a drug is a bit odd, especially this one, which can cause anxiety. Stopping nicotine usually makes people nervous, and this can make people more nervous. But what do I know?
766032 tn?1281641481 No I didn't have any headaches...it increased my anxiety though for about 4 weeks. I take the 300 mg XL tablets so my meds may be different from yours in that I'm on the extended release which is meant to build up in my system over time. My son went through a number of medications for ADHD that caused him headaches. He finally found that Adderall worked without giving him a headache. But again, meds are different for each individual.
Avatar m tn after not getting a significant response on either venlafaxine or mirtazapine separately over the last year and have now commenced escitalopram in addition as this current medication regime with all to max UK doses i.e. 375mg,45mg & 20mg respectively. I've been on the escitalopram now for 5 weeks and having second thoughts about this medication thinking that i should have asked for perhaps wellbutrin.
Avatar m tn There is a black box warning on bupropion and you need to discuss this with your psychiatrist, since I am not sure if you also have depression, in addition to OCD. Bupropion needs be used with caution in patients with major depressive disorder, history of seizures, and patients with liver impairment.
Avatar n tn I am on 100 mg of bupropion and was feeling a little anxious. Before taking bupropion, when I felt a little anxious my roommate would give me one of his ativan's, but a full 0.5 would make me sleepy…so I cut it down to 0.25 which worked nicely. I have started to do that with the bupropion…is that ok?
Avatar f tn And it is a stimulant as well. It works on the Dopamine system, unlike other anti-depressants, which primarily work on the Nor-epinephrine and/or Serotonin systems. That's why the word, 'atypical'. Dopamine is an excitatory neurotransmitter (a stimulant). Bupropion does help with mild to moderate levels of anxiety, but it is not known to more beneficial than the typical anti-depressants when the anxiety is severe.

Avatar f tn Most of us are in the U.S. and would not be able to answer your question, as we don't know the rules surrounding your NHS. You should check with your local authorities. Or you could check with another clinic to see. We do find that the NHS does not, often, allow for adequate thyroid testing/treatment, and many of our members do have to go private in order to get adequate care. Do you know the exact TSH level? Some doctors refuse to begin treatment until TSH is quite high.
468452 tn?1225964888 My question is, is this drug only prescibed in the US? I myself had never heard of it here in the UK. Does anybody know if it perhaps has another name here in the UK or do we just not use the drug? I currently take Diazapam or Ativan for extreme attacks but it would be nice to have something to take on a regular basis that does the same thing but without the same addictive qualities and to perhaps stop me from getting myself into a state in the first place? Does anyone know about this???
4020799 tn?1355825570 I'm having one. I'm in Australia. We aren't telling anyone the sex of the baby until the shower so my partners mum has done the pink and blue theme. We have games, a bbq lunch and desert. They have a pool, and stuff so being summer here should be good. But I'm not doing the girlie shower it's a moved family one.
