Avatar f tn I would suggest a fetal echocardiogram to exclude the possibility of any congenital anomalies or malformations, and if negative then reassurance that it is generally an innocuous finding.
Avatar f tn (i used it as a day and night cream, so twice a day but i dont know the dosage of retinol in it)
Avatar n tn There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Congenital malformations have been reported with the use of ACE inhibitors during the first trimester of pregnancy, while fetal and neonatal toxicity, death, and congenital anomalies have been reported with the use of ACE inhibitors during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. If the patient becomes pregnant, lisinopril should be discontinued as soon as possible. Lisinopril is considered contraindicated during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn When an imaging study requiring radiation is requested in pregnancy it is always important to consider the medical necessity of the study. And thus, fetal risks (which are generally negligible), must be weighed against the benefit of aiding diagnostic and subsequent therapeutic accuracy.
Avatar m tn Because of these concerns and the available animal data, the use of sparfloxacin during pregnancy, especially during the 1st trimester, should be considered contraindicated. A 1993 review on the safety of fluoroquinolones concluded that these antibacterials should be avoided during pregnancy because of the difficulty in extrapolating animal mutagenicity results to humans and because interpretation of this toxicity is still controversial (3).
Avatar f tn Arachnoid cysts are developmental malformations in the brain, which usually remain asymptomatic even if the cyst is quite large. Hormonal imbalance has been thought to be causative but the role of medications has not been reported. However, minor head trauma can damage the existing cyst, leading to some complications.
Avatar f tn I was thinking more of the AVM, lymphangioma/cystic hygroma, etc. types of malformations. Or even hemangiomas. Most websites have outdated info, saying to just wait and see, and things like that. I am trying to find some in depth information on these malformations to use in a paper. Are there any medical websites with in depth info?
Avatar f tn Although there are no definitive studies an increased risk of congenital malformations or adverse events in the newborn has generally not been observed following maternal use of this class of drugs during pregnancy. My best advice is that you consult with your primary care physician or your obstetrician before you take these or any other drugs.
Avatar m tn I have congenital Nystagmus and it is a source of major anxiety for me, because the world moves to fast and people make me nervous because I can't look in their eyes. I was prescribed bupropion xl 300 mg. for my anxiety, I suspect it is causing blurred vision possibly convergence insufficiency. (One eye seems to stay still while the other moves) This is the worst thing for someone who already has Nystagmus.
Avatar f tn There are various criteria whereby a neurologist or neurosurgeon can predict risk associated with an AVM- some of the characteristics associated with increased risk of bleeding include smaller AVM size, exclusive deep venous drainage, and the presence of associated aneurysms . True arteriovenous malformations (AVM's) are by nature, congenital.
Avatar m tn doc suggested going off of bupropion and switch to paxil. It has been 11 days. still taking the bupropion 150 and lamictal 100 but have had to start taking a lot more klonopin because to the rise in anxiety and I don't like taking this.
Avatar m tn Shingles are fairly common and not really that big a deal as far as I know. I doubt it would impact fertility, however I think that talking to your Dr. is the best bet. He or she may feel it best to have them gone prior to. My understanding is that shingles are a similar virus to chicken pox, and chicken pox are not a good thing to have while pregnant. Be safe, see a Dr. Good luck.
3178266 tn?1344536316 Clonazepam and other benzodiazepines have been associated with fetal damage, including congenital malformations, when taken by pregnant women in their first trimester. Clonazepam is best avoided in the first trimester and probably throughout pregnancy.

Avatar f tn Cause The development of the face is coordinated by complex morphogenetic events and rapid proliferative expansion, and is thus highly susceptible to environmental and genetic factors, rationalising the high incidence of facial malformations. During the first six to eight weeks of pregnancy, the shape of the embryo's head is formed.
1402796 tn?1282210284 There is insufficient data on safety in pregnancy, however, benzodiazepines may cause congenital malformations during the 1st trimester and neonatal CNS depression during the last few weeks of pregnancy; it is expected zopizane may do the same. It is a class D drug Given this information, I would seriously consider trying to take something else safer. Do you have an OB yet? If not, that should be your first step, as they are the best at knowing what drugs are safe to take during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Hi, the prevalence of CSID has been reported to be around 0.2 %. Sucrase Isomaltase Deficiency (CSID) is a congenital disorder characterized by abdominal pain, cramps and fermentative diarrhea after eating. Dietary treatment for CSID is based on sucrose, isomaltose, and maltose restriction. The degree of restriction is patient-specific. You can try to reach patient support groups, they could provide an input for your condition. Regards.

I have started to do that with the bupropion…is that ok?

Avatar m tn I do not think this is a dangerous problem. The pressure in the sinuses is because of the blockage of the sinuses. The bony structures in the sinuses can definitely tolerate this amount of pressure. Dizziness is a unique symptom usually indicating that the infection or inflammation has moved to the middle ear. This happens via Eustachian tube that connects your throat to your middle ear where the external sounds are transmitted to the internal auditory system.
Avatar m tn As far as the erection is concerned, I suspect this is not related to the bupropion. Have you tried one of the PDE5 inhibitors (i.e., Viagra, Levitra, Cialis)?
