Hi Rebecca - I was on Celexa for about 8 months and I agree it is a good medicine. I, too, was worried about the sexual side effects of it. My doctor put me on 30 mg for about 7 days for it to build up in my system in hopes the side effects wouldn't be as bad. He then upped me to 60 mg. Definitely the sexual side effects can be frustrating especially since the med makes you feel so much better. With me the Celexa just killed my libido and had no desire for anything.
I was prescribed 300 mg xl of bupropion for anxiety that comes from a neurlogical problem in my eyes called Nystagmus. I think side effects of bupropion cause blurred vision and problems with one eye not moving in conjunction with the other which is horrible in addition to Nystagmus. I've lived with this because I was told bupropion is the least likeliest of pills to cause sexual disfunction. Is this true?
I have also been on Paroxetine HCL 40 mg one tablet a day for a long time. I also take bupropion hcl xl 300 one tablet a day. I still have a short temper and major stress headaches. But probably the worst part, my marriage is greatly affected because I don't want to leave the house. I don't even care if I take a shower or eat.
t seem to be working as well as the Bupropion XL 150mg he was taking for a few years before he was switched because, the pharmacy said, they could not get the Bupropion XL 150mg at that time. I was wondering if there was an alternative to this medication without blurred vision or sexual side effects. While it is reported that Bupropion is the least likely anti depressant to cause sexual side effects, in my case it does. (On a side note I was taking gabapentin for my Nystagmus earlier in the year, and experienced a decrease in vision, hard time converging.) Gabapentin was said to help people with Nystagmus but the doctor's suspected the bupropion may have played a part in this.
I've been taking Bupropion(generic) for 3 months. I've tried 300mg-XL, 2x150mg-SR, and both times (though I'd take the morning dose at 6AM) had a hard time falling asleep at night, tossing around in bed an hour or so. I have been off my meds because i ran out of refills for 21 days now (i used to take 10mg aripiprazole, 80mg duloxotine, and bupropion HCL XL 300mg.) i dont know if that would effect my period but it’s worth a shot putting it out there. t working well so I got put on Bupropion XL which worked. I take Trazidone when needed for my sleeping issues. I never had any side affects from it until recently. I've noticed that in the past month I would get nausea after I take Bupropion, as well as feeling jittery and tense. I can't relax and I feel like I'm consistently paranoid. I am suffering from I believe depression I have problems sleeping this has recently started wierd thoughts and its very disturbing, I feel said and hopeless my doctor put me on Bupropion and I felt better the first day the next day I eel over active different? I've been taking wellbutrin (bupropion hcl) at 75MG three times a day for a little over a month and a half and now I've been told to stop taking it and was prescribed Amitriptyline once before bed. My question is if it's safe to just stop taking wellbutrin or if I should gradually come off it? I'd also like to know if there are any risks with mixing these two?

Several months ago a psychaitrist added Venlafaxine(effexor) to my daily regimine. He started with a low dosage(37.5mg I think) and worked me up to 150mg a day over a period of about 3 months. During this time I did not notice any side effects. My mood improved dramatically.
