Why is my 'shrink' trying to treat my Adult ADD with Bubropion HCL SR (100mg tab 2X a day)? Is this the right med for me? Good grief...it didn't even cut out my smoking. Both of my adult children are on Adderall and are doing fine. My doc keeps telling me that Concerta & Adderall are 'too addictive' ... what the heck ... I am not looking to get high or anything ... I just want to be able to have a med to make my ADD manageable.
I have also been on Paroxetine HCL 40 mg one tablet a day for a long time. I also take bupropion hcl xl 300 one tablet a day. I still have a short temper and major stress headaches. But probably the worst part, my marriage is greatly affected because I don't want to leave the house. I don't even care if I take a shower or eat.
I've been taking wellbutrin (bupropion hcl) at 75MG three times a day for a little over a month and a half and now I've been told to stop taking it and was prescribed Amitriptyline once before bed. My question is if it's safe to just stop taking wellbutrin or if I should gradually come off it? I'd also like to know if there are any risks with mixing these two?
I have been off my meds because i ran out of refills for 21 days now (i used to take 10mg aripiprazole, 80mg duloxotine, and bupropion HCL XL 300mg.) i dont know if that would effect my period but it’s worth a shot putting it out there. I feel as though something is really wrong but I cannot afford a doctor/emergency care because i have no insurance or income. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I have taken Ibuprofen 800mg, nortriptyline HCL 25mg, promethazine 25mg, acetaminophen COD#3, cycmbalta 30mg, pamelor 25mg, cyclobenzarrine 10mg, hydrocodone 500mg, methycprednisolone 4mg, tramadol HCL 50 mg, and viagra 100mg. My question is will any of the medications i was subscribed or taken in combination have symptons of severe memory loss?
Are you talking about beta-phenylethylamine HCL? It is an endogenous nutraceutical good at promoting the release of serotonin, norepineprhine, dopamine and acethylcholine.
Long story, but I (for possibly weeks) was taking 200mg per day instead of my prescribed 100mg per day. ---I basically went NUTS!! I am doing better at my prescribed dose but am getting more and more suspicious of all meds in general. For instance-time released bupropion ruined my life for a while but changing to immediate release bupropion did not have the negative side-effects. Also, using fluticasone (Flonase) more than a few days at a time exacerbates my depression/suicidality.
I was prescribed Bupropion 100mg twice a day. The first couple weeks my wife and I both noticed a big improvement with my symptom of ADD. Than all of a sudden it stopped working. I told my doctor, he changed it to Bupropion 300mg XL. Its been a week and a half since its been changed and no improvement. What happened to make it quit working? So I have been taking venlafaxine (effexor) 150mg for 3 years now and bupropion (wellbutrin) 150mg for 3 months now and I recently had to go to surgery.I had an ovarian cyst that needed to be drained and my appendix taken out in the same operation. Anyways the doctors prescribed me with hydrocodone (vicodin) 5-325TB , ibuprofen 600mg and Doc-q-lace 100mg and I've taking the hydrocodone, ibuprofen,and doc-q-lace only about four times or less since my surgery on Monday (today is Sunday haha).
My pdoc and I are trying to find out what will help me. I have been on zolof (200) with doxapin (for sleep) as I have trouble sleeping and staying asleep. Then switched to trazadone(200-100) for sleep. Then I went over to celexa(60) and (100) trazadone. I felt too doped and sleepy. We switched to bupropion (100), 20 celexa and 50 trazadone. Still fuzzy headed so today I'm now on brupropion 150, 20 celexa and 100 trazadone. Maybe I can find myself.
I have been on 100mg of wellbutrin for the past 4 years for depression and anxiety. I would like to try to get off. Since this is a low dose what suggestions do you have to get off without side effects? Taper how. (buproprion hcl sr) Lately, I feel like it has lost its effect and take .5 mg of clonopin as needed for anxiety.
Has this dose of 100mg done anything for such a long period? I have had only one episode of depression when I lost a friend.
I take atenolol 100mg daily , and also citalopram ( an SSRI) 10mg daily, no problems whatsoever. Hope you feel better soon. I'm bias with citalopram because of all SSRI it is usually less likely to interact with other drugs and also has the least side effects profile, I feel like a new person since being on it.
