Is anyone getting ringing in the ears from taking Generic Wellbutrin(Bupropion sr ) 150 mg. Here is my situation I have been on amitriptiline 25 mg 4 years then went up to 50 mg for 3 years. I started taking only one 150 mg of bupropion sr this is my 5 day. Can I stop taking the amitriptiline with no withdrawls after only 5 days of Bupropion? or has it not been long enough. I hoping that I can stop the amitriptiline by taking the bupropion sr in place of the amitriptiline.

I am currently being medicated with Wellbutrin 150 mg three times a day and neurontin 100 mg twice a day. I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder. I want to learn everything I can to stay well...I try to read up on the condition I am diagnosed with to be informed.. the more I read ,...the more I see that these meds are used to treat bipolar disorder....I am starting to suspect that I am not getting the right diagnosis or that the psychiatrists are not telling me everything.

I am on Bupropion 150 mg for 1 week and already I am having sex with my husband that feels like it did before the Paxil more than 4 years ago , However on the 9th day , the 2nd day of uping my dosage to 300 mg I broke out in a non-itchy rash everywhere and had tingling in my throat with very slight closing, nothing scary just slightly uncomfortable.

Wellbutrin XL should be used with extreme caution in patients with severe hepatic cirrhosis. The dose should not exceed 150 mg every other day in these patients.
My doctor then weaned me off the Celexa and put me on the Bupropion XL. He started me for 7 days on 150 mg and then went to 300 mg. Everyone is different but the Bupropion gave me back my libido and still keeps my depression in check. I do recall my doctor saying the Bupropion can take a few weeks to get the full effect since I had already been on the Celexa.
I would hang in there for a few more weeks and let your body adjust and get used to the Bupropion. Let it build up in your system.
Changed antidepressants 3 weeks ago from Lexapro to Bupropion Xl 150... Bad insomnia hit this week... up for over 36 hours. They gave me Lunesta 3mg. I have taken 2 nights in a row and sleep well. Then today Pins & needles in arms, legs, feet, and head. should I be looking at thyroid again and not the new meds?

In this double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, bupropion (BUPRO, 300 mg/day) was compared to placebo (PBO) for concurrent treatment of opioid and tobacco addiction in 40 opioid-dependent smokers stabilized on buprenorphine (BUPRE, 24 mg/day). Participants received contingent, monetary reinforcement for abstinence from smoking, illicit opioids, and cocaine.
I was prescribed 300 mg xl of bupropion for anxiety that comes from a neurlogical problem in my eyes called Nystagmus. I think side effects of bupropion cause blurred vision and problems with one eye not moving in conjunction with the other which is horrible in addition to Nystagmus. I've lived with this because I was told bupropion is the least likeliest of pills to cause sexual disfunction. Is this true?
I am on 100 mg of bupropion and was feeling a little anxious. Before taking bupropion, when I felt a little anxious my roommate would give me one of his ativan's, but a full 0.5 would make me sleepy…so I cut it down to 0.25 which worked nicely. My doctor has decided that Depression is the cause of my anxiety, and has upped my bupropion to 450 mg a day until the tremors and shaking started, then he lowered me back down to 300. Now I have feel angry or like crying all the time. An explotion can come at anytime, but because the depression was better at 450 mg a day he wants to combine atenolol with it to fight the side effects. However, I have also struggled with ADD my entire life and now, finally, at 44, I have sought treatment for that as well. I was prescribed methylphenidate ER-LA 20mg. I am trying to determine the best strategy for taking these pills.
