bupropion and lexapro

doc suggested going off of bupropion and switch to paxil. It has been 11 days. still taking the bupropion 150 and lamictal 100 but have had to start taking a lot more klonopin because to the rise in anxiety and I don't like taking this.

Insomnia and pins and needles are both listed side effects of bupropion.

Has your doctor ruled out other causes for the sweating? Both these medications carry "sweating" as a side effect. Is it your GP prescribing this or a psychiatrist? Psychiatrists are most knowlegeable when it comes to these types of medications, and what is best for you. I would ask your doctor "why" he feels Bupropion is a better choice and go from there. It may be that the incidents reported of sweating with the Bupropion is lower than the Citolopram.

ve been through tons of medications for symptoms, but have found Lexapro and welbutrin together to be the most helpful. Even though this combo helps, I know there is so much room for improvement because I am still so depressed. The Drug has done wonders when it was added to Effexor and Lexapro for severe Bipolar depression. It had taken me 3 years to get rebalanced and the Bupropion was what finally made the difference. I kept asking people if I was looking older and older, they couldn't tell. I'm not vain but I feel so ugly that I hate meeting new people. So sad because when I not severley depressed I love people. Will this keep excellerating? Does ANYONE have any info or suggestions.

Lexapro works great!!! I have tried them all!! Finally, no side effects, and I feel like myself. Give it 2 or 3 days, then you will feel like yourself. Good luck!

I am on 100 mg of bupropion and was feeling a little anxious. Before taking bupropion, when I felt a little anxious my roommate would give me one of his ativan's, but a full 0.5 would make me sleepy…so I cut it down to 0.25 which worked nicely. I have started to do that with the bupropion…is that ok?

Hi there...I take Wellbutrin XL (300 mg extended release bupropion) and no I didn't gain weight on it. I have been on differing doses for over 2 years. Also, no loss of sex drive if that is important to you which is a common side effect of most of the other medications used for anxiety.

I was taking Bupropion and Lamictal, and switched to Effexor. I have been on Effxor for three weeks. I have had the worst fatigue I have ever felt. So now I am unsure if it was coming off the Lamictal or if it was the Effexor. I am going to stop the Effexor, but I don't know if I should go back on just the Lamictal, The lamictal When I first started taking it, up to 200 mg worked fairly well. I guess my question is, is , has this kind of fatigue been know to be a side effect with Effexor?

Wellbutrin (bupropion) and Lexapro can be taken together. There is no negative interaction. Strangely, the addition of Wellbutrin to Lexapro is said to reverse some of the latter's tendency to interfere with erection, libido, and orgasm in males (and Lexapro is BAD in this respect). t know if I should start taking this drug if it is dangerous for me when combining pot and bupropion. I am 17 and 130 lbs if that would help for anything and am taking a dosage of 150 mg of bupropion. Did you try tapering up slowly to your old dose? Not that trying natural stuff is a bad idea, but it's hard to do correctly and as with anything else takes a lot of work and there's no guarantee it'll work. It is not an over dose and I am no doctor. That is the dosage my doctor gave me in fact he wanted me to take 2 150 mg a day. It didn't agree with me so I stopped... the ringing was even louder. I get ringing in my ears from aleve also , just from 1 pill.,I don't even take that anymore either. Anyway the ringing is driving me crazy so I won't be taking any more of this bupropion sr.

I am suffering from I believe depression I have problems sleeping this has recently started wierd thoughts and its very disturbing, I feel said and hopeless my doctor put me on Bupropion and I felt better the first day the next day I eel over active different? My husband has been taking Bupropion HSL SR 150mg for a few months and it doesn't seem to be working as well as the Bupropion XL 150mg he was taking for a few years before he was switched because, the pharmacy said, they could not get the Bupropion XL 150mg at that time. My husband has dementia. He takes the Bupropion in the morning along with his Aricept and Exforge (for blood pressure). He gets drowsy right after taking his pills and I think it may be the Bupropion HSL SR causing this.

I'm currently on 300 bupropion, along with topamax 100 and still have had no weight losse. I have also tried Paxil, Celexa and Zoloft and they all made me feel lethargic, sleepy and in the mood for nothing.
