Avatar n tn What are these red, tender bumps the size of a pencil eraser on the tops of my knuckles on my fingers adjacent to the bed of my fingernails. I have assumed they were arthritic in nature. This discussion is related to Bumps on backs of hands, knuckles.
Avatar m tn I get these little red bumps on my hands and fingers every once in a while. They are never clustered, I may get one on and hand or finger and then next week get another one on the other hand or finger. They hurt when touched. They usually disappear after a week or so. What could this be? Thanks!
Avatar m tn I have this tiny bumps on my left index finger on the side and on my middle finger on the knuckle area i picked them and this is what it looks like (check websites) im concerned of what this is and i also want to know how to get rid of them http://img692.imageshack.us/i/213842.jpg/ http://img268.imageshack.us/i/213826.jpg/ This discussion is related to lump of finger.
145992 tn?1341345074 I thought I got a splinter or something because when I touched them they were sore. Eventually they went away but I keep having little red bumps appear on my other fingers and palms of my hands. I have no idea what they are. Does anyone have any experience with this or know what they could be? Thanks.
Avatar f tn ve always been on my hands. The bumps are a little bigger than a pin head, and are clear, unlike a pimple. They do not itch, and don't seem to hurt. If you pop them, clear liquid come out, and after about a day or two, they seem to heal and disappear. Doing some research, I believe it is pompholyx, a form of dermatitis. I figured that it would be best not to pop the one on the tip of my pinky, and see if it would heal on it's own, but as time went on, it grew worse.
Avatar m tn Hello, From the symptoms it does not sound like Carpal tunnel syndrome to me. It can be herpetic whitlow which presents as painful bumps on the fingers, cellulitis skin or Osler’s nodes. Herpetic whitlow is a painful viral infection occurring on the fingers or around the fingernails. Herpetic whitlow is caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus (HSV). Osler’s nodes are painful, red, raised lesions on the palms and soles.
Avatar n tn A few days ago, I noticed in the bathroom that I had small red bumps on my inner thighs. I don't know if it's anything serious, but I'm worried. I'm still in high school and still a virgin. I never had any sexual activities with others before. I don't know if it's anything serious... because I tried touching the big, popped one (I don't know how it popped.) and it hurt. The others are small and red, sort of like pimples. Is this some sort of disease/infection?
Avatar f tn Alright, So i originally had a total of 3 bumps on my finger. 2 of them were them same size and right next to each other. They were not painful or itchy in anyway. The third bump was in the same area. It was barely visible and it didn't really concern me. I saw my doctor, and a week later, a dermatologist. They both said they didn't have any idea what the bumps were. They said to put hydrocortizone on it and if it didn't get better, to come back in 4 weeks.
18724859 tn?1467309996 I work for my uncle every week, mowing the field next to his house. I've been doing this for about two months and nothing strange has happened until just last week, when a small cluster of extremely small pinkish-red bumps appeared at the base of my thumb. They don't itch, they aren't spreading, and the only reason they peel is because I have long fingernails and it peeled away a small bit of skin while I was trying to look closer at a bump.
Avatar n tn It appears to be filled with clear fluid, like a blister. Its painful when I press on it. I had these a few months ago on the same finger and also on my right thumb and left index finger, but when they went away I thought that was it, but now they're coming back. Any ideas what these are?
Avatar m tn m not talking about transmitting it to my penis but contracting it on my finger tips) The reason why I believe this is because I clipped my fingernails right before the incident and I accidentally went too deep into the skin causing it to slightly bleed. I am scared because I pressed extremely hard into the toy and with all that pressure I realized that it's possible for the virus to enter through my skin.
Avatar f tn for 2 weeks from now, but yesterday I noted that I also have these little bumps right under my fingernails on 6 of my fingers (middle, ring, pinky), so I want them to look at that too. Thank you again for your response - this system of correspondence is wonderful!
Avatar f tn i have tiny bumps on my pinkie and ring finger, 3 on the bottom of my pinkie finger and one at the top of ring finger. i recently have popped one on my pinkie and the next day it became red ad open and flared. they are very tiny and in oval form. i am concerned if they are warts because i have two already on my index and middle finger on the other hand.i have not contacted a dermatologist but i am planning on seeing one soon if it continues to spread.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have Itchy skin that turns into itchy bumps that turns into itchy sores. If my skin starts itching I scratch which turns to bumps or looks like whelps. The skin continues to itch until sores are formed. The sores then still itch like crazy which leaves scars. I do not have bed bugs. I check every night. This is so weird because the bumps have a hole or something like I was bitten, but I know that nothing has bit me. Can somebody please help? Thanks to all in advance.
Avatar m tn Some basics. I do a lot of sitting. I shower daily. Not sexually active. In the last few weeks, a few bumps have appeared on my buttocks. They feel like pimples but don't appear to develop heads (that I can tell). Once they get big enough, they annoy me enough that I can't help scratching at them...eventually ripping them off the skin. I try to pamper the skin so it will heal, but when it does, the bump eventually returns in that same spot.
Avatar f tn Upon running my hands through my hair I came across a spikey bump in my hair by the back of my neck. With much force I plucked the spikey thing out and fully, out came a hard follicle shaped thing. I thought it was an ingrowing hair as I've experienced these many times before, however this was dofferent. The long section of it was the consistency of fingernails almost and i could barely pull it apart due to the strength of the material.
Avatar f tn t done a thing. I have been so sick. Hair loss, 21 times bathroom. depression, Migraine, bumps on Skin, Harder to see and Hear. Nerve in face hurts, not sexually active, stomach hurts so much, arthritis. hot flashes, stomach has weird tingle sensation that wakes me up in the morning. fingers, toes and heels tingle or go numb, tired bruising, emotional, fingernails are splitting, stool is always changing, fistulas, hemorrhoids, fissures. HOMEBOUND.
Avatar f tn I have several of these cherry angiomas on my scalp, most are big and stick out so I have to tell hairdressers about them so they will not scrape them with their brushes or fingernails. They have never bled or itch but they sure do get on my nerves because my hair is getting thinner, yay :( and I can see these bright red bumps. Im sure thinning hair ***** for everyone but when your a woman its ***** even more. Mine is hereditary.
Avatar n tn Have you used any dark nail varnish without using a basecoat? That too can cause yellowing on the nails. Liver problems like terin400 mentioned, smoking (which I doubt that you smoke), some medications as well as an unhealthy diet lacking in Vitamin A, B, zinc, protein, calcium and iron. You may benefit from a multivitamin supplement suitable for your age group. But make sure that you eat a healthy and balanced diet consisting of meat, milk, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit, vegetables and nuts.
Avatar m tn For toe and fingernails, you can even soak them in disinfectant, but you want to do your homework on this to know how to do it safely. Sometimes the drugs docs use make things worse. And you don't want to damage your liver just for the sake of something nobody really notices that much aside from you. Hope you find something that works.
Avatar m tn I waited like the doctor said, for a year, and saw no sign of abatement. I decided to try something. It worked well. I went on to do this to all of the bumps. It has worked perfectly, left no scars, they have not returned on those locations. What did I do? I pinched each between my fingernails on my thumb & middle finger. Pinch and pull the whole bump off. You need to get the whole thing, from the base, else it keeps growing.
745313 tn?1323142298 I knew about the thinning hair, which I am experiencing to a much, MUCH worse degree than I expected (but hey, it's summer!! ) But I have never read anything about tx affecting your fingernails. It only makes sense, as they are both made of the same thing - but has anyone else had this problem? Mine are awful! They are like paper, thin, peeling, and constantly ripping, even though they are cut completely short.
Avatar f tn does anyone know what can cause the reddish blue half moon on all of my fingers? they seem to be worse on my thumbs. thanks.
Avatar f tn I have been on thryoid medication for a few years now. The doctor says my thyroid hormone levels fluctuates as do my symptoms. My fingernails are the worst and I am so very tired and weak. They are very soft and thin with ridges. I thought the synthyroid was supposed to help with these issues. Am I wrong and is something else going wrong This discussion is related to Fingernails indicative of thyroid problems?.
Avatar f tn Anyone have terrible fingernails with their VDD? I ask because for the past few years my nails have been very blah, the minute they start to grow they just split and peel. Now, I have noticed being on the VD for the past few weeks/months my nails finally seem to be growing slowly and not splitting or peeling, yet anyhow.
Avatar n tn In February 2009, I had a mishap during heterosexual intercourse in South America. The ejaculate spilled on the bed during withdrawal and there is a possibility that unprotected sex occurred toward the end of intercourse. I had a normal absolute/% CD4 of 1063/45% at 5 wks followed by negative ELISA tests at 6 wks/77 days/80 days. The first 2 ELISA's were with a home kit and the 2nd one was ordered by an ID physician. Where those tests conclusive?
