tongue

Avatar f tn I noticed a cluster of bumps on the very back of my tongue. I only see them when i stick my tongue out very far. They are behind the "v" of papillae and just above the epiglottis (the thing that closes over the trachea. i dont know if thats the right term). Any ways, they dont hurt at all, but i just noticed them recently.... Anyone know what these are?
Avatar f tn yes if the bumps back there almost look like the suction cups on a octopus and in a V shape ( a few on each side of tongue) then that is deff your Circumvallate papilla....i agree with somewhat doesnt sound like warts because you have had NO change in appearence, nor did they multiply .....have you beent o a dentist in the past year?...
Avatar m tn Today, I took a look in the mirror and saw white warts all over the back of my tongue. Not a pretty site. I am now a bit concerned because I read these may be the signs of a very rare oral concer caused by HPV. I even read somewhere that doctors may end up cutting my tongue out.... Other more reliable sources points out there should be no reasons to worry unless the pain grow and have difficulties breathing...Which one is correct?
Avatar n tn It felt like a popcorn husk stuck on the back of my tongue and when I looked I found the bumps. Just like you, a couple on one side and about twice as many on the other. No pain, they don't look ulcerated, just bumps. Also, like you, when I researched on the internet, it just scares you what you find. I'd love to hear what you found out about your's and if they have cleared up.
Avatar f tn If it is some kind of garden virus. How can you get the bumps on the back of your tongue to go away? I have never had this and I know you say not to worry ,but that is hard to do.If their is anything I can do to make it go away I would be happy to get any tips...!! This discussion is related to weird bumps on tongue....
Avatar m tn She now has sore throat and bumps on back of tongue in v shape (She also did HIV test with at before we did sex and she negative). Do you think 10 week test is conclusive enough. Had anyone of seen 10 week turn positive. Is the sore throat on bumps on tongue (not causing any pain or nor bleeding) anything related to HIV. Should I redo the HIV test after 12 weeks or its not needed.
Avatar f tn A few months ago I was with a guy who had HPV.. And after I found out I decided it was safe to get Gardasil, but we never did anything until after I got the first vaccination. . .And never once did I touch him or anything, but he DID give me oral. . . And now I have a new boyfriend, and I'm worried I might have HPV. . .I haven't seen any signs on my genitalia, but I have these little bumps under my tongue around my frenulum and wharton's bumps. . .

1855970 tn?1325823613 The past few days I've noticed bumps on the back of my tongue... they were just visible if I stuck my tongue out far and didnt hurt or anything. But today, one of the bumps toward the left side just feels annoying. Like when a popcorn kernel gets stuck on the back of your tongue... thats what it feels like. I tried using a toothbrush to kind of 'brush' it away, and it didnt work.
Avatar f tn So today I just noticed bumps on the back of my tongue. i can only see them if i stick my tongue all the way out. They don't hurt at all and theyre the same color as my tongue they look exactly like this https://iytmed.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/76_bumps-on-back-of-tongue-no-pain.jpg what is it?
Avatar n tn I have a patch of raised white bumps in the back center of my tongue that appeared about three days ago and are still there. They do not hurt unless I pick at them but they are raised so they are irritating. I have been rinsing with a medical oral wash but it has not seemed to help. I burnt my tongue several days ago but I have burnt it before and this has never happen. Do you have any idea what this might be?
Avatar m tn That's a normal part of your tongue called circumvallate papilla. It's a v-shaped row of bumps that form the junction between two parts of embyological development. You should take care of your nasal congestion. An ENT doctor is a good start. He or she can take a look at your tongue as well. Breathing through your nose can also either dry out your mouth or be associated with inflammation from allergies or acid reflux. Any kind of inflammation can make the bumps on your tongue larger.
Avatar f tn I looked up pictures on google which I know can make a person even more paranoid but the pictures reflect the type of bumps I have on my tongue. I have 2 prominent bumps on the side of my tongue. Even when I gargle with listerine it burns my tongue and certain parts of my mouth. When I feel around my neck I can feel a lump inside my throat it feels like a little ball. I felt it a month ago and I noticed it becoming bigger.
Avatar n tn I have these weird, raised, and various sized bumps on my tongue towards the back and on both sides of my tongue, on the lower half. My tongue feels swollen on both lower sides of my tongue towards the bottom... It is somewhat painful... Just very irritating. Please, someone tell me what is wrong!! I am a very paranoid person in nature and the slightest oddity of my body stresses me out. All I can say for sure is that these bumps are not normal and werent there in the past.
Avatar n tn I have seen several Doctors regaring mine which is on the left underside of my tongue, and they have said this is a normal part of anatomy and is part of aging. I am just wondering what others were told and if theres has now gone?
Avatar n tn About 3 days ago, I found a canker sore on my lip. Yesterday bumps appeared on the back of my tongue. They do not hurt, but are quite annoying. All i want to do is swallow them. I heard that the bumps on the back of the tongue are a part of normally anatomy, but i can't help but think that they are inflamed or infected. Is there anything I can do at home? If they don't go down in a couple of days, I plan on seeing a dentist. Heres my background: I'm a college student.
Avatar n tn And now I looked in the mirror and saw some white in the back of my tongue. Its a small thin layer of white in the back of my tongue with fissures going down the center. The fissures aren't very deep. I am worried about this. I don't want it to be anything serious. I am scared to try brushing it off. The picture isn't my tongue but it is very similar to it. Except the white isn't in the front. It's in the back on the top of my tongue. Its minor though. Please help!!
Avatar m tn However, last month I noticed some growths under my tongue, about 3 warts/flesh like growths inbetween the V-Portion of my tongue and then some growths on the actual V-Lines under my tongue. They are all flesh like. I went to my dermatologist who then said it was irritation. After applying salic acid as recommended nothing really happened. He then consulted with an ENT who looked at me for about 5 seconds and said it was not genital warts and nothing to be concerned with.
Avatar f tn At the back of my tongue I found a lot of bumps at the back of my tongue. They are pink and raised and when I scratched at them I discovered they were attached to my tongue, in a mushroom sort of fashion. I don't feel sick and the bumps don't hurt at all. I only noticed them after I stuck my tongue out after eating a slushie, but I eat slushies (and candy) a lot and this has never happened before.
Avatar f tn One month later I have a bigger growth in the line under my tongue and inbetween the V-Portion of my tongue and then some growths on the actual V-Lines under my tongue. They are all flesh like. What do you guys think, what could this possibly be??? I am concerned they could be warts but at the same time I think the doctors know more than I do. Also, the bumps are painless.
1763947 tn?1334055319 I have had a year of cyclical break outs on my tongue of very painful flesh colored bumps on both sides of my tongue and my LLMD thinks it is yeast so I have been taking diflucan for 6 weeks and the bumps went and way and have not come back....until tonight. One has popped up and usually more follow the next day or two. Has anyone had anything like this or can someone make a suggestion of another pill for yeast that would cure this for me?
Avatar n tn Now, my tongue is pale in the morning when I wake up, and every time after I eat I have a yellow coating on my tongue that will brush off right away with a tooth brush and tooth paste. I also noticed in the way back of my tongue several raised bumpsin a "v", which I think are fillaform pallipe (not sure how to spell it) according to the internet, which may have always been there but I just now noticed them.. What is going on in my mouth??
Avatar n tn I often get them on the under side of my tongue. I have a bump very similar to that on the roof of my mouth in the back. I just ate garlic bread, so I'm wondering if these bumps can also occur on the roof of your mouth? I mean I literally just noticed it. It doesn't hurt though it does look a little red around the bump.
Avatar m tn OK, I have kissed and performed oral sex on about 3 women in the past 2 months. I now have a bunch of small bumps on my lingual frenulum (the part under my tongue where the spit glands are). They look like a bunch of spider eyes. They are painless and most of them are the color of my mouth. They were a bit red yesterday, but not firetruck red. They haven't secreted anything, yet. I'm not sure if they ever will secrete anything.
Avatar m tn ve just noticed that there are bumps near the back of my tongue (and seemingly moving up towards the front) that look like they might be sores. There is absolutely no pain in my mouth from this and no sore throat (therefore doesn't seem like thrush). I also think my tongue might be swollen because there are teeth marks on the sides of it. Below is a picture for reference, thanks for ANY help!!
