MY DR. PUT ME ON BUDEPRION XL 150 IM ALSO TAKING LEXAPRO WAY BOTH ISNT ONE ENOUGH? AND WHY DO THEY MIX THEM . CAN I TAKE BOTH AT ONCE?

Budeprion XL is giving me extreme anxiety and racing heart. Have been on it for about a month.i am also on Escitraprolam. How can I taper off the budeprion XL. Was thinking of starting by 1 every other day for a while, then every third day and so on.

My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...

My doctor is slowly weaning me of Effexor XL 150mg daily. She tells me that the lowest dose of XL is 75mg. She has put me on 37.5mg daily Venlafaxine. I tried this as 150mg dose, and it was not the same at all as Effexor. Is there any alternative. I know Venlafaxine, is supposed to be the same as Effexor, but I don't think it is - at least my body said it was different!! I am now wondering what the next step is for me. What is the difference between Effexor XL and Venlafaxine.

t seem to be working as well as the Bupropion XL 150mg he was taking for a few years before he was switched because, the pharmacy said, they could not get the Bupropion XL 150mg at that time. My husband has dementia. He takes the Bupropion in the morning along with his Aricept and Exforge (for blood pressure). He gets drowsy right after taking his pills and I think it may be the Bupropion HSL SR causing this.

I was on Effexor XL before, 150mg. Started on ViePax 75mg until my body gets used to it, then probably go up to 150mg. I did very well on Effexor before. No problems at all. I will stick with it, as it suited me before. Here in UK don't have a choice but to go on generic. I was on Sertraline in the past, and I know Prozac does not suit me, as I had terrible side effects. My psych dr just prescribed wellbutrin xl twice a day for me bacause I felt like it wore off really bad around 4 int he afternoon. So I take it at 7 am and then at 3 pm to ward of that awful LOW feeling later. 150 mg each time. Total 300 mg for the 24 hrs. Hope this works.

I was experiencing serious fatigue and lack of motivation from the medication and spoke with my Dr about switching to Wellbutrin. She has given me Wellbutrin XL 300mg per day and has me stopping the Effexor. She had me take 150 mg for three days, then go down to 75 mg for three days and then start the Wellbutrin on day 7 taking half a tablet for a week and then going on to the full Rx of 300mg. I am on day 4 of taking Wellbutrin (1/2 tab) without any Effexor.

Wish I could give you more info on Welbutrin. I do know that it is primarily a Dopamine Reuptake Inhibitor. Perhaps it is this Inhibition of Dopamine reuptake that is having this effect for you. I did try Welbutrin many years ago as an add on antidepressant, unfortunatly (for me) it had no effect and did not help even after months taking it at high dosages.

The normal dose of Wellbutrin after titrating up from 150mg is 300mg, preferably in the XL (released gradually over time) form, and the Lexapro is normally one 10mg tab QD. I have seen these two meds prescribed together this way for others.

There is no conclusive evidence of alternate day dosage being as therapeutic as the initial dose or even the maintenance dose of XR 150mg per day. What we do know at this stage is that the dose of XR/XL 150mg every other day is recommended and appropriate for those who cannot eliminate the drug in time, such as in liver diseases. But with other conditions being normal, we are not sure about the effectiveness of 150mg alternate day dosage over a longer period than needed for a taper off.

I was previously on Lexapro for anxiety / depression, but switched to Wellbutrin due low libido while on the Lexapro. I have now been taking 150mg of Wellbutrin XL for about three months, and have noticed no imprvement. If anything, my libido has diminished even more. Worked well on depression/anxiety, but sexual side effect, such as deleyed ejeculation.My doctor,changed me to wellbutrain xl,150mg+clonozapan 0.50mg (Split 2 times morning and night),which improved the sexual side effect,but not the anxiety/depression. I "Butterfly ",thinking for the worse,for the future,such of finance,loosing my home,ending up on the street, etc. Typical symptoms of depression/anxiety. The doctor then added 5mg of lexapro generic (Escitolopram) at night.

Have you noticed an increase in attacks as well as severity? I have been on Wellbutrin XL 150mg for 17 days now and in that time I have had several mini anxiety surges but also like 3 SEVERE attacks (shaking, jaw clenching, heart pounding, feeling like I am dying or flipping out). I've been taking Bupropion(generic) for 3 months. I've tried 300mg-XL, 2x150mg-SR, and both times (though I'd take the morning dose at 6AM) had a hard time falling asleep at night, tossing around in bed an hour or so.
