First off... Hi everyone and thanks for making such a great site! My aunt's doctor gave her Budeprion SR 150 mg to help quit smoking. A friend of her's told her that you're not supposed to take it, if you take any medications for diabetes. She does take a pill (not sure which and didn't think to ask her) for her diabetes and I told her I'd try to find out if it could cause any problems.

With me the Celexa just killed my libido and had no desire for anything. My doctor then weaned me off the Celexa and put me on the Bupropion XL. He started me for 7 days on 150 mg and then went to 300 mg. Everyone is different but the Bupropion gave me back my libido and still keeps my depression in check. I do recall my doctor saying the Bupropion can take a few weeks to get the full effect since I had already been on the Celexa.

I am affected daily and nightly and feel as I am not in control of my life any more...this affects everything. I only take 30mg. Cardizem as needed....and can double it if necessary....but if my b/p and heart rate are so low...I am concerned that my b/p will go back down to 80/48 with pulse of 46 as it did on .25 Bisopherol...way too low. Dear Di: I have taken toprol xl for about 12 years and have not had a problem with it.. The XL stands for extended life.. it is not all released at once in your system..So I would say the reason you cant take it just when you have a problem is that your body does not get the full effect immediately.. You have to take it and build it up as I understand it.. dunno not a dr...but thats the way Ive always understood it.. basically its a very safe medication to take... hope this helps.. .

I have been in-and-out of Afib for years. I've had several Electrocardioversions, some have converted me to sinus for up to 18 months. I have taken 50 mgs of toprol XL for 12-13 years. It is a very safe and a good medication in my opinion.
