Are there any antidepressants that will make me more alert rather than sleepy and tired? This has been my experience with all the drugs I've tried so far. Budeprion being the last one and the worse cause it makes me so sleepy and lethargic, yeah too often I find myself sitting there as if lifeless, staring into space, feeling like a rock with no feelings or emotions...Are there any drugs that will give me more pep and energy instead of making me just wanna stay in bed all day?
I have been on sr 150 for two months now and just switched to xl 300 as the sr was not doing anything for me. Should I be expecting a change for the better or are they the same?
The doctor looked the drugs up in a book and said there was little difference in the price, and asked if I would like to go on Effexor XL. I said yes, and also asked for dosage to be increased, so now I am on the original drug again. I do not know if there is any difference, I am told not, and have googled it, but as I know Effexor suited me I am glad to be on it, if only to put my mind at rest.
I don't know about XR and XL though. I have always had XL.

I have just begun taking Budeprion SR. 150 milligrams a day. The paper the pharmacy gave me said to contact a dr immediately if I got a sore throat. I have a sore throat, and I want to know if I need to stop taking the medication. On another website, throat irriatation is listed as a rare side effect. I called my dr, and the nurse looked it up and said that sore throat was listed as a side effect. So, I am confused. Should I stop taking the medication? Is this a dangerous side effect?
I had a sinus infection but did not show any of the usual signs at the time. I was placed on Toprol XL 50mg. I began experiencing very cold feet and hands, had panic attacks and feelings of suicide. I have been very depressed since I started using. I had started walking and had gotten up to 2miles a day. But the exercise left me feeling very tired. I have stopped the clonazepam when I started getting kidney pain and decided to get on Budeprion XL thinking that this might all be mental. I'm as plus size woman (18 before pregnancy, xl or 1x shirts) I'm so irritated with maternity clothes!! I was looking for dinner sheets at Motherhood Maternity and all they have are short, shorts. I am not afraid to admit that i should not wear shorts above the knee, esp short thigh ones. Not only that, i CAN NOT find any swim shorts that are not hoochie looking.you either get the skirt or shorter shorts. Who are there models, seriously!!!!
had a letter earlier in the year saying the drug is being changed from capsule to tablet but is exactly the same. i am taking viepax xl. before i was on effexor modified release. weather its a coinsidence or not but i feel as though i am going down hill and recently hit the bottom of the pit partly i think its due to life circumstances. but I am not convinced plus my doc says your on max dosage when clearly i have been on higher before.
Am on Budeprion since April 1, 2013 because I had 2 deaths in my family and I was down so I went to the doctor and she put me on that am doing fine now but I today I just feel down and I was thinking about stopping the medication, I don't know if that causing me to feel down or what, and am not depressed I wasn't on the medication for depressed so is it ok to start to stop it or what?
I contacted my cardiologist because I had a couple episodes where it felt like my heart was fluttering. I have been on Toprol XL for a little over a year (25mg) due to having a afib attack last memorial day and having to be converted. I have been fine until lately when last Monday my BP shot up to 170/90. She had me do a holter study for 2 days to see what was happening. She told me that my heart rate was running too high and that I had a 30 second episode of atrial flutter.
Thank you for your cautionary tale. I also spent a period on fairly high dose Venlafaxine XL (225mg) about ten years ago. I vividly remember the awful side-effects that would develop within a few hours of missing a dose and would evaporate rapidly when I took the medication.
My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...
I have been on this combination for 6+ years and doing pretty well with them. In May 2008 I was started on Toprol XL 25 mg. It worked for my blood pressure and lowered it but it also made my depression worse and I finally went to my doctor to get off of them. I am now weaning off of the Toprol XL. I am on the second day of 12.5mg and I can't tell you how bad I have felt all day. Extreme anxiety and jittery. I CANNOT wait for this drug to be out of my system.
I just discovered this after 3 months of total misery, 7 different doctors, multiple tests, 1 hospitalization, 16 pound weight loss, almost lost my job, etc., etc., etc.. I want to know if this will have permanent effects on my body and heart and will I ever be the same again. I still don't feel 100% and have been back on the brand TOPROL XL for 9 days now.
