Probably nothing to worry. Slight blood discharge turns brown from oxidation before you get to it. Ovulation can make it happen, and also the earliest part of your menstrual flow, before it gets brighter red.

Hi, I have always had a bit of brown discharge after my periods. I've read up on this and supposedly its normal for some women. I'm more concerned about my light brown discharge before my period. I'm due to start bleeding in about 8 days, according to my calendar and this is the first time I've experienced it with some cramping Before the bleeding. Has anyone else had his happen? I read a few things online saying it might be due to ovulation. Could that be?

Thats very normal to have brown discharge right before, and right after. Its old blood. Sometimes youll get it, sometimes you wont.

it has been two weeks since we did it on the days my dr suggested to do it on, around the time my new egg comes in, my question is, today i noticed a thick brown discharge. now ive seen it b4 sometimes the day i start my period and sometimes the day i get off, but my period isnt due for another 2 weeks, and that discharge isnt thick its more like thin kinda clear, which is my old blood i think, but like i said this discharge today was thick? My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex 2 days before my period (regular). [and yes I know brown discharge is normal RIGHT after my period, and it was present] And then 5 days after my period (normal discharge), I felt my BBT has elevated (not fever) and then 11 days after my period, I've noticed a reddish-brown discharge (or more like stain) and I still feel like my BBT is still elevated.

So it's been two weeks and two days since i've had a period. i've been having this brown discharge come throughout the day, for about three days. It's usually light besides when I wake up in the morning and use the restroom cause i think it builds up over night. Anyways, it's not like period blood it's either light pink or different shades of brown, not too brown though. Please help me, cause I've taken three hpt throughout the two week period... Could I be pregnant?

s normal. Brown blood in your discharge is old blood...which is pretty common to have just before starting your period...getting rid of what was left in there before your new period begins.

I took an OPK on sunday 7th and it was just a bit darker than the control line so i knew i had almost passed ovulation, but with the days we bedded i should have caught it. I am still having brown discharge which then went a light pink and is back to brown today.

I always have a day of spotting (dark brown) discharge before my full flow come. My new RE was a lil alarmed, not sure why. He asked me to check it that happend while i am on meds too. Is is supposed to mean anything. Anyone else have the same?

I have been on my birth control pill for over a year. My boyfriend and I have been together for over two years. I had a very irregular period before I started the pills, but they evened me out and it's good now. We almost always use condoms, but occasionally we do not. The brown spotting you experienced, could have been your period trying to kickstart itself, though from what you have said your miscarriage was very early and it presented itself just like your preiod, assuming your body is back to normal, the brown spotting could well have been implantation bleeding, this can either be brown or red spotting mixed in with your normal discharge.

I apparently ovulated sunday 7th June, my partner and i bedded Tues 2nd, Thurs 4th, Friday 5th, Sunday 7th and Monday 8th so i know i have not missed my ovulation date i have it well covered. I NEVER spot before my period so I was convinced it had to be implantation bleeding when I started spotting scant amounts of light brown discharge 3 days before my period. I took Plan B after a condom broke during sex on my peak ovulation day. Pregnancy test was negative, but I thought it was too early. My period came on time, exactly 28 days after the last one. I guess the spotting was either due to Plan B, or it was something new that I can expect to happen now.

actualy ehat happen is when my period is going to srart on first day(as i count it as first day but i dont know its right or wrong) its alwyas very light brown discharge .so i can guess that after one day or two days i will get my period like bleeding.and for one or two days i have only light brown discharge and then its become dark as period.so which day is my first day of period.?
