Since you just recently started birth control, having brown discharge is completely normal. It;s just a side effect of the birth control. It happens because your body is trying to get used to being on birth control. It's also normal right before a period - so could be possible your period is about to arrive early. Which could also be down to the birth control.
Can stopping the birth control give you brown discharge of 8 days? and a delayed period?. i have always taken my pills, active and inactive pills every month... but now stopped it the birth control... i have a delayed period... at least 29 to 31 days sincle last brown discharge from the 2nd to the 8th-10th of July... i have regular periods after 21 to 23 days...
I'm on birth control and i suddenly have brown discharge 2 weeks before my period. I had sex a little over 2 weeks ago w/ a condom and he did not finish in me. when i saw the discharge, took a test and confirmed i am not pregnant. I started getting the discharge on Sunday. I got my cartilage pierced 1 week before that and it didn't hurt until sunday as well. i also developed a cyst behind my ear (still on head and not on ear) .

( I know,not very effective) Anyways, I was due to get my period on Sunday, October 11th, but I started getting brown discharge on the 9th, I did get my real period on sunday, and it was normal but after my period had ended I started getting the brown discharge again. Ive only been on birth control for two months, so I was thinking maybe its from that? Im extremely stressed out over this!! Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
Yeah, my breasts were always real tender while I was on the pill, but since getting off they haven't been tender at all (just my nipples are suddenly very sore, which hasn't happened since I first started puberty.) As for that brown discharge, I don't think it was my period.
The brown discharge is most likely old blood that took awhile to come out. I get that sometimes. And it's perfectly normal for birth control to affect your body differently after you have a baby. Before I had my first, I was on seasonique and after about 2 years I stayed bleeding through it and had to switch. After she was born, we tried it again and it worked perfectly. It's possible that you don't need as high of a dosage anymore, OR that birth control just isn't right for you.
I started my period when I was very young and was irregular for years before I got on birth control. It was the best decision I ever made. Not only did it regulate me but I would also know when I would have my period so I could plan activities around it. I would not be worried about the discharge unless they are unusually smelly or have puss or anything puss like about them.

Hi. I'm 19 years old. Today I went to the bathroom and saw there was spotting in my underwear. At first I thought I was starting my period but then I looked closer and saw it was a dark drown. i have went off of it and my period has not come back on its own. They put me on a birth control pill to hopefully make my period start. I had a longer period than normal about 6 days and i started my next pack of birth control while on my period cause the other one had finished. Hello, I am on birth control, I had sex May 27 then got my period on June 1st, it was regular & on time. I had a pap biopsy on June 13 and bled from that from the 13th-24th. I've been taking birth control for about 3 months now but I started taking antibiotics about 4 days ago. I did have sex a week and half ago and I'm worried that something is wrong. My period has came a week and half early. But I'm not sure if it's my period or implantation bleeding. I am supposed to get my period soon since I got in on the 26th of March. Yesterday (Sunday) I had brown discharge only once after I went to the bathroom.
