But now I have this burning feeling in my breast and read that it could be a yeast infection. It just started yesterday and today I decided to stop feeding him by my breast and just pump. I'm boiling all bottle and pump supplies for 20min. Do I need to see a doctor or can I get rid of it on my own since it just started? Or is it something else and I'm just freaking out?

I was checked just last week and was clear for bladder infection. so I m thinking yeast infection,. Been on cipro. But yeast medicine not helping and it feels to swollen to use applicator for yeast treatment. Extremely painful. I can't even get the applicator in. I am through with breast cancer treatment. Did you have antibiotics prior to giving birth? You could have a yeast infection IN you milk ducts...I did and the breast pain was excrutiating! BUT it went undiagnosed for almost 2m because I didn't show any signs on my nipples... Your chills etc sound mastitis-ish though... Maybe a day of rest will help BUT if your breasts keep hurting, see a dr... read this and see if it seems like your symptoms...

after realilzing it, I made an appointment and I was given a cream to treat the possibility of a yeast infection on my breast. For the yeast infection you can try eating yogurt. That is a way I was told to help prevent getting yeast infections and if I got one it would help balance things back out. If it gets really bad, if you have health insurance, look into whether it covers breast reduction surgery. Even insurance that won't mess with anything cosmetic will do reductions, because too-large breasts cause so much pain.

Hi, The best advice I could give you is to tell your mom to make an appointment to see a dermatologist.This sounds like a yeast infection and it should be treated.Don't worry,your skin condition has nothing to do with breast cancer. Don't use any lotion that could make things worse.. Dry your skin very well after bathing,or showering.In the meantime,you could use an anti-fungal cream until you see the doctor okay?
