Avatar f tn I've been in a ton of pain just from the bottom tooth emerging and cutting into my cheek and gums and have survived without any pain relief so I am hoping the recovery will not be any worse than the pain I've already been experiencing. Any advice, experiences or help is much appreciated!!! And no, I won't pump and dump. I'm stubborn and I have decided I just don't do it. I'd rather go without any pain relief at all just so my little girl can eat and not have her entire little world disrupted.

Avatar n tn Do you have any associated symptoms? You should apply some local pain relief medications, take some oral pain relief medications, maintain a proper posture throughout the day, try some warm compresses. You could take some antireflux antinausea medications and see if they help with your symptoms - this could be pain due to reflux or GERD. Consult the doctor if the symptoms persist and discuss whether you need to get any investigations including a chest xray and ECG done.
Avatar f tn I also do hot showers. So I am wondering. Is there any other OTC/holistic pain relief method that you have tried that works well? I can't do TENS right now because of the pregnancy, but I am thinking about massage and maybe acupunture. I am slightly concerned that if I have a good deep tissue massage, it will release toxins for the muscles that might not be good for the baby. I am going to talk to the doctor and do some more research on that.

Avatar m tn Hi, Breast pain can be due to many benign causes. Usually the pain occurs due to hormonal fluctuations as it also happens during menstrual cycle and particularly if you are on Hormone Replacement therapy. I don’t think you should worry about cancer since this disease is almost never associated with pain, especially when both breasts are involved. Many women actually find relief, when it comes to breast pain, when they cut back on how much caffeine they consume (chocolate, coffee colas).

Avatar f tn Many women actually find relief, when it comes to breast pain, when they cut back on how much caffeine they consume (chocolate, coffee colas). Although breast pain is rarely associated with breast cancer,I would urge you to see a Breast Specialist for a clinical breast exam, including a mammogram, to make sure that there is nothing there to worry about. Best wishes...

498237 tn?1219873878 Some pain can take very long to disappear after radiation and for some people, a chronic lingering pain remains. The average relief of pain will take about 6 months or more. I suggest you keep regular follow ups with your doctor and report to him or her any changes or aggravation of pain that you might notice. Also, he may prescribe medications for the pain.
Avatar n tn Hi, I think you should also get a chest xray done to rule out a pulmonary cause of the pain. Take some OTC pain relief medications for a few days, try warm compresses, breast massage and breast exercises and see if that helps. Wear lose clothes, a sports bra preferably for a few days and see if the pain decreases. Local application of some analgesic gel should also help. If the pain persists you should consult a breast specialist or pain specialist. Do let us know about your progress.
Avatar n tn Hi, Try some OTC pain relief medication for a few days. Try warm compresses, breast exercises and breast massage and see if the pain decreases. You could re-schedule your appointment if the pain persists despite the above measures. Let your breast surgeon decide whether an USG or MRI would help. The size increase could be due to benign collection of fluid seeen post mastectomy - called seroma; which usually resolves on its own.
