Common Questions and Answers about Breast pain exercise

Avatar f tn I know that exercise in pregnancy is recommended, as long as it's mild (like walking or gentle yoga). Does anyone have experience with more vigorous exercise? Nothing crazy (no p90X or anything), but something that does elevate the heart rate a little bit? I'm not very in shape right now, but I know that improving, or at least maintaining my current level of fitness will be beneficial for me and baby.
Avatar n tn It was not until I complained of a pain behind the left breast, that I was given Procrit. You could suffer irreparable heart damage, if engaged in a strenous activity like running, while anemic and adding albuterol to the mix! I was extremely angry at the PA and mentioned to her that she should ask SPECIFIC questions relating to anemia when the bc is lowering. That asking how are you feeling is too vague and people tend to say ok to that.
Avatar n tn I am a 59 year old who underwent a lumpectomy in Nov. 07 and concluded a three week course of radiation in February. I had an unremarkable recovery but now suffer from pain, swelling and redness in the affected breast. I did some weight lifting (three pounds) on Tuesday the 2nd of July in conjuction with physical therapy for tendonitis of the opposite arm. Please advise. Avatar n tn For the past six months, I have been waking up in the middle of the night with extreme pain in the reconstructed breast. I don't do alot of exercise or anything, but it almost feels like a pulled muscle. Before this, everything went well, but now I am worried that something is wrong with this breast. What should I do?
Avatar n tn Six months ago, I had an abscess in my breast (I AM NOT BREAST FEEDING), and it was aspirated after mammogram and US. Since that time, I feel strong pain and heaviness at that breast. I made lately another ultrasound and it showed a scar tissue after the abscess and a few thin-walled cysts up to 19 mm on both sides. I want just to know what can be there to cause that continuous pain, it is not the cysts because I have them in both breasts and the pain is only at the breast which was aspirated.

Avatar n tn Dear Briane, Breast pain is a common breast symptom. The reason for breast pain is not always clearly understood. Breast pain is not usually associated with breast cancer. Breast pain is sometimes associated with hormonal variations and is then called cyclical breast pain. Noncyclical breast pain does not seem to be linked to hormonal variations and is often localized to one area of the breast tissue. Noncyclical breast pain may or may not be the result of an injury to the breast.

Avatar f tn I am 34 and suffered from extreme breast pain for over a year. After seeing a holistic breast specialist, I discovered that I was hormonally unbalanced. I was estrogen dominant, with extremely low levels of progesterone. Also, I was deficient on EFA's and iodine. Within two months of adding iodine drops to my skin, applying bio-identical progesterone from day 14-28 of my cycle and adding EFA's containing flax, borage and fish oils, I can now say I am pain free!!!
Avatar n tn I have done this about 5 days so far, but today after my workout I had a bad pain on the left side of my chest. It seemed to be right under my left breast, near where my heart is. Is this something that is normal, considering I have led the last few years of my life being fairly unactive?? Should I be concerned about this??

Avatar n tn For the last month and a half I have been having a strange pain under my armpits and the side of my left breast. It started as an itching and burning sensation, but has turned into pain which spread to both sides. I have no lumps under my arms on in my breasts that I can feel. I am overweight and have heavy breasts, so I have always worn an underwire bra. In december I started going to the gym 4-5 days a week and working with a trainer one day a week.
Avatar n tn Breast discomfort is rarely associated with breast cancer but can be due to many causes. I don't know of any breast concern that has anything to do with the size of your breast ... large or small. My best advice would be to see a Dr. for a clinical breast exam and perhaps some type of imagery (Ultrasound or Mammogram) to determine the cause of this discomfort.
Avatar n tn //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Referred_pain). Perhaps the pleurisy or pneumonia injured some nerves; now that pain is being perceived as breast pain. However, please consult your doctor again about your constant tenderness. You should again begin gentle exercises and regular walks. And dont focus too much on the pain/discomfort. Without physical examination, evaluation and ability to ask questions it is difficult to say what the pain in your situation might be due to, however, your explanation may very well be correct.
Avatar n tn A couple days ago, I was experiencing horrible pain so I took 2, 81 mg of aspirin since that was the only medicine I had..that pain is now gone, but now I have a sharp pain right below the breast and I have been feeling really sleepy especially when I go out to places. It is somewhat hard to go to sleep and exercise because when I move its painful and gets hard to breathe. I can't go to the doctors until like a month from now because everyone is on vacation..
Avatar f tn Hi, breast pain can occur pre menstrually. Tender sore breasts at your age could be due to pregnancy, fibrocystic breast disease due to hormonal imbalance, infections or inflammations of the breast to name a few. If the pain is aggravated with work or exercise then it could be due to cardiac pain. But when in doubt always best to have it checked. So please consult your primary care physician who may ask for an EKG or a treadmill test to rule out a cardiac cause for the pain. Regards.
